I don't think that's a trend as long as it's sincere. Women (broadly speaking, ladies) are more than likely bombarded on sites like these or generally with disingenuous compliments that are aimed at their panties...hoping that a compliment will get them down around one ankle. Could be too how you phrased it or positioned however well intended. There is a huge difference between "You look great today as usual" and "You look unusually great today". | Of course you could go long and try reverse psychology? Just say "Hey...you look like crap but what's new there, huh". Good luck. | Still looks like a chicks butt to me too, guys. No g-strings for me!

Why wouldnt anyone (male or female) enjoy receiving a compliment? . Maybe she has low self esteem or a little insecure and isnt used to anyone complimenting her.... some people do have trouble hearing something nice about themself at times. I did when I was younger. . I have now learnt to accept any genuine compliment with grace and reply with thankyou. . . Others go fishing for them all the time....lol

maybe she is just one of those women that just dont get told enough how fabulous they are so when a man finally does tell them they dont believe it and are embarressed do it more often and she might come around and believe you sometimes the nice guys need to put in a bit more effort because the arseholes use the same lines...which makes it hard for us girls to know which is which or i could be wrong and she might just be a cow roxxy

How to accept a compliment. I got in trouble the other day for being negative about a compliment. And its true....we should be gracious and enjoy the compliment.

It has nothing to do with their self esteem or being unable to accept that the compliment is genuine. It is more to do with political correctness. My opinion is that it is a load of bollocks! For instance what happens when one guy compliments another guy? Get over it! These people need to learn that manners override political correctness every time.

And its true....we should be gracious and enjoy the compliment.I know what you mean. It's a tough thing to balance wanting to be gracious and not wanting to seem egotistical. It never feels natural to me.

why wouldn't she .. A man that takes notice of how she looks and wants to compliment her on it .. its fabulous...I have a friend and he always comments on how nice my hair smells.... I love it .. I take the compliment and feel really chuffed that he notices .... A man that notices we wear nice perfume , or a new pair of shoes, a sexy dress, etc etc .. go for it boys I say..Genuine compliments are wonderful.. I think though we do deflect cos we feel embarrassed by a them.. Id say find another girl .. one that appreciates the kind of man you are Sassy xx

she was game playing...covering up her embarrassment by telling you off. not very mature at all....the polite and gracious thing would be for her to thank you without getting all silly....we all do this to some degree, but don't crucify her for it, she may not be accustomed to compliments.......

Im just going to giggle a little... he he he he....Poor poor ogrilp, did the mean lady hurt your feelings.. Oh so lucky are you, she gave the time to bother you. But thats OK ogrilp. We stand to fix your current blues.Some of the nice people here, have formed a happy little lynch mob just for you. We can all go down to the park, by the big tree next to the lake, and watch, watch her sway, gently in the breeze. Oh she does look fab swinging to and frow, almost lifeless toes dancing in the air. Here is a rock, that you may throw, to stop those twitching little toes.Guess Im getting a little cynical about peoples constant disapproval, of those not restraining a truthful bit of complaining...he he he he... So sad it hurts....
