I'm an enormous fan of Wonder Woman. To me, Wonder Women aren't just strong - they are women of strength, who rely on more than their physicality to get things done. They are compassionate, and care more about doing what is right than they do about merely winning. They are comfortably in their skin, and accepting of their difference. They make the world a better place because they are in it.

I'm something different to everyone in my life. I'm obviously a wife/gf to two gorgeous men. I'm a wonder woman because I can simultaneously have two relationships where I actively support their dreams, hopes, am their confidante, their greatest supporter and their greatest critic. I can love two men without making either feel that they're not vitally important to me ;) I'm a parent to two amazing young people, one an 'adult' and one on the cusp of adulthood ... I'm less mother and more friend to my children. That's quite the shift as a parent but knowing that we have raised such amazing young people, dfinately a wonder mum lol (wonder parents in fact, their dad just rocks!!!!) I'm friend to some very amazing people in my life ... ensuring those relationships are nourished in whatever they need is critical to me. Professionally, I work full time with young people. I'm teacher, mentor, authoritarian, disciplinarian, friend, advocate and their voice if needed. Ive worked in the same community for over 27 years. I have a huge community spirit and support many in my community, from working bees, sausage sizzles, volunteer work and fundraising. Optional (but vitally important to me)... I love a really clean home and freshly cooked, home made meals. I always find time to 'nourish' my family or those around me. A throwback from my Greek heritage, I'm sure :) I probably don't 'give to me' as much as I should but a wonder woman for me has: Love, Compassion, empathy, integrity, sense of own worth, resilience, opinionated, forward, strong (emotionally) cares about her physical self, whatever that is for her :) ( for me I love getting my nails done, hair etc.) knows what she wants but doesn't step over or use others to get it, has a sense of community and is an active community member (as best she can) Mary xx

Love them to bits. We have each others back unconditionally and are always there for each other without judgement. We keep it real with each other, so are honest yet respectful. I know that all of them would be there for me at the drop of a hat as I would for them. I can tell them anything about me and trust them to keep my secrets. We can laugh together and cry as well. They are uplifters and encouragers and focus on the positives. In the absence of family around me they are the family I choose. They pretty much kept my head above water last year when I had the worst year of my life and can actually say I don't know how I would have got through it without them so am forever grateful for their presence in my life. Love the sisterhood.

Women are wonderful but we are not perfect and are often held to exacting standards. We are expected to undertake many different roles and sometimes we lose sight of who we really are. We need to be honest with ourselves and the people around us,those who love and care about us .Yes we can and do achieve amazing things but we sometimes just need to reflect, spend time in the stillness, and reacquaint ourselves with just us.Q

Michelle Pfeiffer totally sends me all kitted out in black leather! That said, I think of my mother as a ''Wonder Woman''. Growing up should go do anything from fix my bicycle chain, get the grass stains out of my jeans, cook a fabulous meal out of next to nothing and eventually was my very best friend. Besides....she could even put up with me which sometimes just ain't easy! Best...CM

to those that have posted about those women they find to be a Wonder Woman! I think all women are wonderful in their own way and we don't tell them enough. Some overcome obstacles and go on to great things, others overcome illness just to live a 'normal' life, others are mothers and/or partners doing the best they can for their family. Look around you and see how wonderful we women are... KH P.S. CM - I'm not sure whether Halle Berry or Michelle Pfeiffer is my favourite Miao!! xx

Wonder Women? I knew a woman who I thought then and believe now, was the best example of a woman I ever came across. A neighbour who was my home away from home who conceived and parented some of the loveliest people I have ever had the privilege of knowing. The children are women now and the parents to awesome kids anyone would be proud to claim as their own. I love how they support and encourage each other... My everyday reason to believe in Women (in particular). Peachy
