Inspiration...

December 13 2009

Alright Guys and Gals, time for something different...I stumbled upon my old writings the other day and the memories came flooding back as I read them.   Has anyone else had the urge to write, to express themselves when emotion overpowers your senses and increases your desire for that special someone? Do you feel like sharing?   Here's mine:-   Slave To A Rose   I see you in my mind, clear as a red rose in a field of daffodils, baby blue eyes escaping through the wisps of wavy hair, pouting lips drawn to attention by your sculpted cheeks.   Your eyes slowly trace up to meet mine. The enchanting stare captures my soul and melts my heart. I am yours for the taking, a slave of affection whose only pleasure stems from that which I give you.   My mind, body and soul are now yours, to do as you please with. Choose you to toy with my fragile heart, so be it. Choose you to mockingly play with my innermost thoughs, I will let you. Choose you to love me, I will love back.   As I awaken beside you, I remember my dream. My fingers wander along the supple, sensuous curves of your side. You are my rose, whose eyes have captured my soul, and as I softly kiss the nape of your neck, I realise that many a dream can come true.

You write beautiful poetry Michael!  Thank you for sharing that with us :)   I'm not much of a writer myself (well the odd limerick *giggle*), but my hubby is a wonderful poet and he used to write a lot for me - even proposed with a poem *awwww*.  Ya know, I kind of miss being a muse.
