The seventies. Rock and roll peaked in the seventies. So did Hollywood movies. We had colour tv, vhs and no mind numbing video game boxes. No mobile phone. No internet (you wouldn't have my opinion shoved down your throat). Muscle cars and hippies. Fuck yeah! I wish I had met Jenny Lee when we were young too.

To walk on the moon, kick moondust instead of bulldust and have a ripper BBQ Party while looking at the lil thing called Mother Earth. Or to see how they filmed the whole thing with live streaming pictures when at that time local TV was full of static.

I think the 70's probably had enough conveniences that life was comfortable, kids were able to be kids, work was available, women had choices, families were at the dinner table together instead of working crazy hours. I was only a young child at that time so I don't really remember it but it seemed like a time that was a happy medium between the pressures of today and working your arse off for everything you owned before then.

Australian, British and American rock. The sound was real and not altered, who would I like to spend it with? Billy Thorpe if one third of the things are true in his book, what a life!

Would have to be the swinging 60's in London for me great music, times and some really cool clothes .." yeah baby yeah groovy" Hard to choose who I'd like to meet/spend time with, such a huge smorgasbord on offer back then some would be The Rolling Stones,The Beatles, The Yardbirds, The Animals, and Lulu. I am with jensman1903 and ralf74 about the 70's as well (loved how our Aussie music evolved in the 70's) :)

For the late 70's and 80's for the reasons stated before.... music..safe contraception.. lack of mobile phones and most importantly the lack of everything needed and done INSTANTLY... But I probably have rose coloured glasses for back then as I was a teenager and had no real responsibilities apart from which levis to con mum into buying me.... Ahhh.... still wearing levis.... just lookig for the golden breed shirt...

You bet me to it! I TOTALLY AGREE! The 1920's were roaring!! How hot is Art Deco? The writings of Sigmund. The men in gangster suits.. Who could forget "Pearl necklaces", long cigarettes and red lipstick.. Jazzzzzzz music...Mr. Armstrong... Micky Mouse was born. And of course....................... The end of World War 1 and lots and lots of babies were born in the early 20's. I think they were kinda kinky fuckers back then... FOXY

Mainly the 60s and 70s but boy do I wish I was around in the 50s.. Elvis, Buddy Holly, The Everley Bros, Ricky Nelson, Del Shannon, Crash Craddock, Bill Haley. Etc etc.. Thankfully mum bought us up with 50s music and kept all the records from that time, so with a mix of the 60s and 70s stuff my sister and I added , I can't remember better days.. The moon landing, Happy Days, I Love Lucy, Bill Cosby, Casius Clay ( muhamud ali ) The mighty St George dragons winning 11 premierships in a row.. Johnny o'Keefe, Col Joye, Billy Thorpe and 2 great mates I grew up with. Kevin Todd and Ray Brown ( RIP) of ( Ray Brown and the Whispers ) . Simple days with simple ways...

My grandmother was born in 1920. I don't want to think of her kinks. As far as the decade goes, think of Powderfinger, The Living End, Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Offspring, et cetera. Plus I was gorgeous then even more gorgeous then I am now.

It would have to be the 60's with Janis Joplin. De ja vu, I invite, um, let me think, Mado & Tara for dinner with Pearl.

Quoting 'MissKay' It would have to be the 60's with Janis Joplin. De ja vu, I invite, um, let me think, Mado & Tara for dinner with Pearl. Then we could fly across to Austin Texas, spend some time with Stevie Ray Vaughan, Charlie Sexton, Tara has a thing for his swagger, so we would probably have a little root while we were there. Though the way things are looking here, is that the best part of the sixties, would be there to make sure none of you naughty folk did not change the day Tara was made. Which means spending it nearby the parent in-laws, yipee. Mado Tara xx

Short skirts, beads in your hair, knee high boots and FREEDOM. Then again sry Mes but I'm on the 1920's post war decadence too, silk stockings, gorgeous bombshell dresses and women actually looked sexy nearly all the time. Most importantly the men were strong and incredibly hot and most could dance....lol. My Dad's a 1930's model.....the Great Depression and for all it was hard he has some great stories of childhood. Agree with most about pre video games, mobile phones.....life was simpler in some ways and kids were allowed and only wanted to be kids until they grew up. Pass the champagne loves......while my feet tap along to the "Black Bottom" :)

The 80,s early ninetees, the days when the early sounds from chicago ( dance ) just reinvigurated the whole dance and music scene in the motherland, the groups and dance scene that erupted was a joy to behold, from the indie side of music to the absolute exctasy of the dance scene from 88 onwards the rave and dance scene was a revolution, the 60,s had the summer of love, the late 80,s early ninetees in the uk was a consistent music orgy :-) - Posted from rhpmobile

The 50s: Norma Jean I loved her movies as a kid and still love her movies. She led a fascinating life and was far from the dumb blonde character she often portrayed in movies. I'd definitely want to meet her.
