Okay, wiccan_Beltane gave us another entertaining thread. I was watching The Rocky Horror Picture Show last night and couldn't stop thinking about Funlover selecting Tim Curry in fishnets to play him and Coriander's apparent resemblance to Susan Sarandon . ... that Peter Hinwood, the bloke who played 'Rocky', couldn't sing a note. He mimed to Aussie Trevor White's singing.

... that traditionally, the roles of Eddie and Dr. Scott were played by the same actor on stage. Meatloaf played both parts in the original American run while Russell Crowe played both roles in an Australian revival.

... that Vincent Price was the producers' original choice to play the narrator in the film. He was a fan of the show and was in the audience opening night in London but scheduling conflicts meant he couldn't do it. Pity.

... that Mick Jagger wanted to play Frank N. Furter in the movie but the producers wanted to stick with Tim Curry. Just as well, I reckon.

I saw it in Sydney years ago and Craig McLachlan was playing Frankenfurter. At one point half way through the show he had a raging hard on that he couldn't hide due to his costume, it was hysterical, he stayed in role, made mention of it, shrugged and carried on with the show. What a professional. hehehe
