I have to sat that even in America the freedom of speech has it limits. Thought you would not know with some of the tripe you hear coming out of there. There is no doubt some one reported the abusive posts in my thread given other things I have seen the moderators are consistant and will not allow pure attack posts that are nasty. When we post in forums like this we have to accept the rules of the forums and I am happy to do that. I wish they left the thread running though it was heading in a good direction. LC

You go live your life for a few days and you miss out on the bloodshed and battle in the arena... Perhaps I should move closer to the Colosseum.... That would be cool to do in May-I could go to Ritual in Rome...well it is at the Alien Club Let me guess what happened here....the Algonquin round table alumni had another intense philosophical discussion that quickly degenerated into a simian food or fool fight? I blame the slow drink service... Good things most of the shirts were already off then.... Easier to hose off the mess. Like tv-it's always the same s*** from the same producers just a different channel. Happy New Year-to all the people that deserve a much better 2011... 5am and I've still not been to sleep Hope that everyone had as good a night as me :) 2011 is already better than 2010 It's good to be thrown to the fire-you learn how vital, alive and strong you really are... There's always archery, dancing and music to fill in the between time.... All that witchy candle stuff really works...or maybe it's just my powers that are just increasing? there are those on the forums who complain about being attacked personally who are actually the worst at this themselves. and some who send messages on the side to posters so the rest of the forum doesn't see it. we are constantly dragged down and insulted by a few in particular and have no issue with sending a complaint to the moderators (always cut and paste the offending piece) we also forward the messages sent to us off forum as we find it offensive that people can say one thing in public and another in private. there are truly some nasty pieces of work active in the forums (some very prolific posters) stating an opinion is one thing, but being openly insulted as a result is something hateful and unreasonable, the forums end up closed because of the content, nothing else. its a shame that adults behave like children when they disagree.

Well It is a real shame yet another frum had to be cleaned up and again it was a comment that was directed at me that was deleted along with others as well. | | mikeandshel had comments delted as well and for the life of me I can not figure out why their were deleted they basically said nothing that was offensive... | | The comment to me I didn't find offensive it was snide but I didn't care and I didn't report it either (tho I know who did xox to you for that) The funny thing is the post that have not gone... | | I will never figure out some things | | LC

truly...I think it all depends on who you are.I had a forum topic up a while ago now that got VERY nasty towards me.I reported my own posts...others reported the whole topic...but it wasnt until another person actually stood up for methat the whole thing got deleted.I have also had other posts deleted that I was in no way being horrible...but someone that doesnt like me took offense to.meh.JMO....BJxxx

In Fairness to RHP they expressly say we agree to abide by the terms of use: | Refrain from behaving in a manner, which a reasonable user, registered user and/or member of RedHotPie would consider to be offensive, and not in the spirit of the site. | We give express permission for RHP to delete any content that breaches the terms of use...There are other terms but this is the critical one. | LC

Long ago I learnt that this forum is owned by a corporation whose interest is vested in it's success. If your posts are deleted it is because the mods have decided it's bad for business. As for freedom of speech... this is not America. In Australia there is no Bill of Rights. There is no apparent constitutional right to say whatever you think. Quite the contrary. If you vilify somebody then almost certainly your post will eventually be removed whether reported or not. That's just my opinion based on my experience of this forum. Hugs Stalky

there is no forum here. its abusive and sometimes nasty. there are a bout a half dozen truly offensive individuals who spoil it for all. we know who they are. the moderators know who they are. they are all honey and sugar to their favorites, but nasty and mean spirited to those they disagree with. we have copped it over and over, from the same people every time. we now expect our posts to be attacked, and pay these people no heed..................after all, we are adults here, not children...and we are all judged by our peers......

Now, to clarify a few things although I am fairly sure we have a lot of information in our HELP FAQ area on RHP about what we (the mods) do or don't do with forum posts. In short, what we don't allow is threads to continue if they do nothing but attract negative comments and sentiments which can potentially affect the wider RHP community (and, as suggested by Stalky, how our website is perceived - after all, we want people to participate, not think they are going to get shot down if they throw their two cents in). Sometimes if the thread itself is not the issue, we’ll just remove posts that are reported to us as offensive. However, if we keep seeing the same sort of posts appear in spite of removals, bans and warnings, we’ll close threads. Moderating the forum is just one job RHP staff do during the day and we sadly don’t always have the time to work out if a particular comment was just intended to be slightly sarcastic or an all out attack on someone. It’s often simply easier to remove posts or threads to ensure things remain civil in Forums.We have enjoyed many threads posted by well-intentioned people and regret that sometimes there are users who take things out of context or deliberately use it for their own agendas. In such cases, we can only encourage those who have posted otherwise successful threads to give it some time before re-posting the thread (perhaps worded differently if previous attempts provoked others into posting negatively).

Hi Mods, I applaude the actions you take I really do...I do wish on occasions you might contact the person at whom the "attack" is directed and ask if they consider it to breach the rules as clearly specified in the terms of use conditions. To me one was borederline, i didn't like what he said, the other was trivial. I had contacted the poster and sorted it out. | That being said you do a great job to ensure we all aenjoy our RHP experiance well done !! | Mike
