Husband fined $13k for not having sex

September 06 2011

sex

A French woman was so fed up with her sexless marriage that she decided to sue her husband. And she won. The former couple, known only as Jean-Louis and Monique, had been married for 21 years and had two children when Monique decided to take her husband to court. Jean-Louis, 51, was fined 10,000 Euro ($13,370) under a civil code that states married couples must agree to a "shared communal life", Britain's The Telegraph reported. "A sexual relationship between husband and wife is the expression of affection they have for each other, and in this case it was absent," the judge said. "By getting married, couples agree to sharing their life and this clearly implies they will have sex with each other." Jean-Louis' job and ill-health prevented him from fulfilling his matrimonial duties, the court was told.   With thought of topics on married men who need more outside their marriage for reason that is their business ( just don't include me).   So I found this and thought a fresh debate being that the woman has sued.   Love to hear some thoughts on this.. comical and not nasty is the preferred.   huggies   sweetpetite41 xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Sweetpie,What an awesome discussion, can be had with this one?Personally I feel its really sad that people go to courts to sort out these sort of problems!I would hope a open and honest discussion would have been better and cheaper for both of these people! The posts with mention of all the Married guys going outside the marriage, are testament to the fact that the majority of us find it just plain wrong! I would also point out that it is not always just the males that choose this path. However for this woman to actually sue her husband for sex?Maybe that is just a case of Viva La France!Cheers

Sounds like they would have...but interesting none the less. I think I could honestly say though that if he was in fact that ill, there could have been other avenues to pursue had they talked about it rationally or if there was genuine love still left in the marriage. Working too much is not an excuse...stay home and do you freaking homework...take her along on the business trips! | I know of several court cases in the US where accident victims (car accidents, the other driver clearly at fault a/c drink driving, negligence etc.) have been awarded some pretty amazing amounts for "loss of conjugal privileges" either during surgery/recover or even permanently....think huge amounts when it was permanent. One that I know of personally was kind of funny as it was a neck injury but...well, let's just say that all he really had to do was keep a pillow under his neck and scored an extra $50,000 in court. | Joke time...a husband comes home and hears his wife swearing up a storm and finds her in the bedroom hurling clothes in a suitcase. He says "What's wrong?". She says "I just read in the National Inquirer that I can get $300 an hour for doing what I have been doing for you for free all these years and I am out of here...I'm moving to Nevada where it's legal". He grabs a suitcase and starts hurling his clothes in laughing himself stupid. She says "And what in the hell are you doing?" He looks at here and says "I just want to go along and watch you try to live on $300 a month". | It's all about perspectives I guess.

TWENTY DOLLARS On their wedding night, the young bride approached her new husband and asked for $20..00 for their first lovemaking encounter. In his highly aroused state, her husband readily agreed. This scenario was repeated each time they made love, for more than 30 years, with him thinking that it was a cute way for her to afford new clothes and other incidentals that she needed. Arriving home around noon one day, she was surprised to find her husband in a very drunken state. During the next few minutes, he explained that his employer was going through a process of corporate downsizing, and he had been let go. It was unlikely that, at the age of 59, he'd be able to find another position that paid anywhere near what he'd been earning, and therefore, they were financially ruined. Calmly, his wife handed him a bank book which showed more than thirty years of steady deposits and interest totaling nearly$1 million... Then she showed him certificates of deposits issued by the bank which were worth over $2 million, and informed him that they were one of the largest depositors in the bank. She explained that for the more than three decades she had 'charged' him for sex, these holdings had multiplied and these were the results of her savings and investments. Faced with evidence of cash and investments worth over $3 million, her husband was so astounded he could barely speak, but finally he found his voice and blurted out, 'If I'd had any idea what you were doing, I would have given you all my business!' That's when she shot him. You know, sometimes, men just don't know when to keep their mouths shut.

... Slater and Gordon would take up a reverse class action? I singularly want to sue all the girls who have turned me down over the last 10 years. Has made my life intolerable. ;-)

I did my 10 years. Nothing comical about that, I can tell you! No, any answer here is going to be nasty. Nastier than a room full of pit bulls and a large rabbit.
