There are many forms of celeb status. Does it exist in this rhp world?..yes, why not! I look forwards to reading the posts of some of MY favorite 'posters'... Outside of rhp its the Words and Profiles of celebs that give them that status.. Just be careful of the paparazzi...

Never thought of myself as a celeb based simply on the fact that I have an opinion and voice it in a forum on an adult dating site...it's not as if I am out there coming up with a cure for Cancer or eliminating Third world poverty...

Hi Jensta,I kinda of agree with you. Some people on the forum have definite star status and no doubt have a mini fan club or at least have followers that read everything that they write. I know I have certain people who I follow on the forum. I think that our profiles can be perceived in a number of ways, negative and positive. I think if you have a hot profile some people might not contact you because they think you are out of their league and then they might read something you have written on the forum and realise you are just a doofus like everyone else. :P xxMeeka

.....and I rue the day I started posting on forums. Each time any of us post on any forum we are revealing a little of ourself.....and that is all it is....a little. Many on RHP never post, only read......and build an image in their minds eye of the folks who post....based on the little that they have read about a person and usually make an ill informed view about what the person is truely like. . The image they have is almost like a fantasy person that they create. . Just because I post here does not make me a "celeb"....it is just a place for me to comment on various topics, I try now to stick the the fun and silly ones. ( I did say try....lol) . The meet & greet drinks nights were a great offshoot of the forums, you could actually get to meet the real person. I have had a couple of people chat with me on these evenings and say they only came to the night to see if any of the characters they have "read" in the forums are real. There have been quite a few that I have met that are nothing at all like their on-line persona......I too have been incorrect in mis-judging them in the past. Something I try my best not to do now. .

Posting in the forums has bitten me on the bum so many times I have a permanent bruise ! . Seems that everyone believes what they read on here... and don't realise there are more dimensions to me than the forum one. . Amazing how guys read EVERY thing I've written, including my stories. They love to tell me their opinions and if I say something like "ohhh Im not really into that"... I get the response, "but u said blah blah blah in the forum" ! . Sometimes it frustrates me, sometimes it makes me sad but mostly I just smile or have a little giggle to myself. . Hugs, Saturn

Miss Saturn and Ruby_Blossum that is a very serious outlook and you can't just blame the forums. People make assumptions or form a picture of us based on our profiles, personal emails we may exchange and just simply based on the fact that you are on RHP. I haven't really had any bad experiences because I contribute to the forum. xxMeeka

What you say on the forums can raise people's expectations of you... or it can ruin your chances. Some people communicate well in this format and some manage to bugger it up for themselves. The forum is another way to draw attention to your profile, but it isn't going to get you much further if you don't meet those expectations face to face. I doubt there's much more to it than that. I read the forums because people are diverse in their opinions and expressions and that's interesting, even when the subject of discussion has been touted before. Hugs Stalky

gives me the initial impression, but I find what is written on the forums gives more of an insight into the person and whether there'll be any connectivity, and thus determines whether I think that person is worth contacting. Of course, to quote Daryl Somers, "You'll never, never know if you never, never go!"Time to rewrite my own profile, methinks.....it's getting a bit tired.

Hi all constant forum contributors!!! Have a look at everyone who has written in this post, all strong forum contributors. I agree with most that is said. Not looking to draw attention to my profile, no way. I just adore that I can go to a place (forums) to have an opinion, express points of view and certainly read others. There are great subjects to comment on. Some contributors write one liners (which I adore), others write novels (I have too).. It's nice being able to express long or short!! The paparazzi can be harsh though. All great fun. I do like the drinks nights too....When is the next one gals?? xxx

If anybody thought Regular Forum posters were any sort of celebrity. My take is that we are all relatively normal (hopefully) relatively sane (I sometimes wonder), bunch of pepes who like to contribute to this little circus and don't mind sharing our opinions and life experiences.Cheers Nev......We came for the sex....We stayed for the people!

I apologise in advance for sounding short or abrupt - I'm still sick. This is a good discussion point, but I'm not sure I agree with your experience Jensta. . This is a forum. Nothing more, nothing less. . You can choose to be yourself, or you can create an alter ego or an 'online identity' that is as close to or as far removed from your true character as you like. It really comes down to why you are here and what you want to gain from your experience here. It would serve us all well to remember this when we read profiles or the forums. . In my opinion, every one of you is, at first glance, very one dimensional. RHP is one small aspect of your life. If I sought to get to know you away from the forums, I would hope you would be what you appear to be on this site and much much more. I would like to think that it will always be the case that, as with those of you who I count as friends and know on a more personal level from RHP, that your 'real life' persona is closely aligned with your 'forum persona' but that there are more dimensions to your life and the sum of your real world experiences. . I would get no enjoyment or payoff whatsoever from thinking or knowing people followed any or all of what I say here. I really hadn't considered it until reading this. I can assure you, with me, what you see is exactly what you get. But that is my personal choice. I suck at being someone I am not. My profile is me. What I say here is me. I attempt to always show respect for other people's opinions but I am not afraid to disagree or throw my two cents in. As a result, it may well be that as Mistress T says, I also come across as an opinionated bitch LOL. But so be it. I couldn't imagine anything worse than meeting someone and having to show them I am not who I seem to be on these forums. . OK I will admit I was bored...and what I found was back in December 2010 some one took a major dislike for certain profiles on here and touted them in discussion boards AWAY from RHP as there to only get the single guys interested - they werent real at all...it kind of amused me because I had actually met every profile mentioned as being fake....LOL... . I am one of those who loves to attend drinks nights so I can met and chat with forum regulars face to face - oh to see if some people are real.... , Kisses Focus am with MsShoes - next drinks night is when???

Now I love the forums I have to say , and have said before I am addicted. I have left and come back and come back again. . Why ? Because it is my complete escape. This is not for me reality. Is it me yes, I would say it is very much me. I get passionate about things I get passionate about in my day to day life. I live very much as described here in the posts I have contributed. I dont do it for others and it has never come to my mind that others in fact paid very much attention to what I have ever said at all. . Until a month or so back. Sitting in a corner at a party I had a friend come sit by me and started to ask if I was going to say anything on the forums about the party ? I said I didnt know ? Why .......... and this hit me "because stacks of people read what you say and follow your posts of course" I seriously looked at the man and looked for signs of insanity ! "Loads of people read what you say, we read everything you post" .............. after laughing til my kilt almost fell off I asked him if he was serious, yes he was very. . So strangely people do read what you say and do follow what we say here - Oh the wasted hours of dribble people read from me - your all delightfully mental ! Sorry..but I just don't see it as celeb status. I have met and have been interested to meet some forum and chatroom people merely out of curiosity and because I have formed friendships with them.Forum peeps are good to meet simply as generally you have no face pic to go on so its always interesting putting a face to a persona. Chatroom you are generally a lot less surprised as you know what they look like.In both cases though you can still be surprised that whilst they have a lot to say in type form, there personality when you meet is different. This can be a very insular part of RHP and I have spoken to a few people who never even read the forums. Sometimes people only visit the chatrooms or neither.To be honest I think Id be mortified if anybody held me in that kind of status simply for as Miss Saturn says a perception of how I am simply for some of my random thoughts on here..As a chatroom fave of mine would say JMOxx

I cant believe Ive got to the bottom (hehe) of the posts and no-one has brought up Stalky as a celebrity!! How many times are you ready through a forum and think.. cant wail till Stalky gets hold of this one. If I was to meet Stalky at a party I would seriously go up and shake his hand and gush!! (again lol) "WOW your Stalky OMG" Stalky honey.. you have one fan so you are a celebrity!Other than that I love reading peoples posts and opinions... Being refered to as one of rhp high priestess!I just assumed that may of you woman would get the same!& others offering chauffures to pick me up!Shopping anything I want!even offers of money!Simply Im not interested in desparate men! not at all!I cant be the only one who gets this??? c'mon girls! Yes what you's see here of me is a very small part of me! I am real n every way! Just like everyone else!Some of you woman! that met me! know that! It just amazes me how these guys out there, sending me mail! Think!Im not interested in them at all! simply just Laugh! & say what the fuck! Ok so i have sat through and read all the varying opinions on this particular topic.There is one thing that comes to mind, can someone please define on what is a hot profile??Who gets to make that call, is it the people of whom the profile is for, or is it everyone else out there??Could it be a profile that has some amount of success, or is it just a sexy pic on the profile pg??Love to get some ideas on this.xxx

Oh! I know I'm a unique Woman so do those I care about who cross my Path . I like My Private Life Celeb or Star status can't compete with the abilities I have to share . Well it doesn't work for me. Never got a message referring to anything I have posted in the forums. But then i'm not that regular a poster in the forums, unliike some Maybe it only works for the female forum celebs? I'm a newbie to the forums (& this site) and thus far have found them sooooo much fun! And, yes I am guilty of looking at the profile behind the post! Curiosity makes me do it!!! I do have a giggle at the outrageous flirting - makes me want to call out "get a room!!"
