How often do you...

With a title like that...you might be expectins something a bit different but here is the question... | How often do you change what you have written in your profile about yourself...let alone go through and change the photos etc. to something more suited? | I had a good read of my own in the last few days and thought..."What kind of mood was I in when I wrote that? And why all the professionally taken coporate pictures?" Okay...so the self protraits in one gallery can stay...but still, it did not sound that much like me at all. I might fill the jocks well (that picture will stay, thanks) and whilst I do wear the Armanis business...I am not nearly that much of a stuffed shirt! I do have a good sense of humour, like to relax and I doubt any of my colleagues at the Rialto would even recognize me after hours...especially when I am chasing midnight! | Has anyone else done this type overhaul or are you more likely just to leave it? I know some of the ladies delight us with ever changing photographs (thank you one and all) and we all add in bits and pieces as we go. | So how often do you change it and what do you think makes you stand out a bit from the crowd?

    I never change the body of my profile...its funny and took a hell of a long time to think about and to type (thank God I'm a touch typist). But my pics I change often...I'm just too sexy not too...hahahaha! xFunlovingx

    ......and like any good advertisment should catch the eye with either words or pics and entice the viewer to want to know more about the product. A profile filled with 'ask me' is like a new company/business advertising its name only, with no information about the product or where to find them, who can be bothered to find out whether or not they are interested in a name. A profile with too much information is like an advert filled with fine print.....generally there will be something there that is a turn off...too much information intially can sometimes be a bad thing. To find the fine line between the two is where to aim for......something that teases and tantillises maybe?....leaving the viewer wanting to know more....as in an advert for a product.....the aim is to enticee you to go to their shop/business and taste, touch, see, tryon for size etc.... On this crazy site, you can stand out from the crowd in many ways (pics, forums outrageous statements).......and you can enticee others to a conversation and messages working towards arranging a face to face meet. Again, as in business you can generally pick out the tyre kickers and timewasters pretty quickly. There is no substance behind their words....they are all talk and no action....... And hey, that still works for many on here. 9 times out of 10, I prefer quality with substance. The courtesy that one extends can reveal more of an insight to that person than any profile ever will...if a man I have been chatting with says he will get back to me with some answers to questions that have been asked (business or fun) and neglects to do so......leaves me to ponder that they see my questions and interests of little value. ..........and that trait tends to carry over to their sexual exploits.....it would be allllll about them in the sack. You can have the best product on the market....but if you lack ethics and not able to convince your customers they want/need what you have to offer...you may as well hang out the closed for business sign. Thats the long answer....seems I am in business mode tonight....lol The short answer for me....a profile is a tiny insight to that person....follow through on all levels seperates the men from the boys & the women from the girls so to speak. Those who represent themself in person, as on their profile are the successful ones for me. I think I may go and have some jam and icecream to add to this waffle of mine...:) (nearly forgot....havent found any reason to change my profile so far....but often change the pics.)

    Writing and expression is a large part of my work so I find myself unable to resist the odd re-write of my profile. Something will occur to me, often another dodgy double entendre, and I cannot help myself but to give it a little tweak. But I've only started from scratch a few times in the month I've been kicking around. Photos haven't changed, but I've been thinking maybe it's time... Any volunteers to be my photographer?

    i go through mine a lot...you can normally tell what mood im in or how screwed over iv been by someone by what my profile reads but atm im quite happy with the one i have, so it should be around for a while i have trouble with pics uploading so the ones i have are the ones im stuck with for a while roxxy

    I tend to change my profile about 3 times a month by re-writting little bits or like it did recently rewrote the whole thing lol As for photo's I change them even more often. i can never make up my mind which ones are flattering and which ones arnt so I change them constantly lol For example after my post "Tattoo's hot or not" many people where messaging me asking me if I could put up a pic showing my tatoo.. So i did lol Taby.

    I haven't changed the essence of my profile in the 2 years I have been here but I do revisit it from time to time to check to see that I haven't changed it in a moment of weakness. When I get some messages I wonder if I have been misinterpreted? Or perhaps people don't bother to read it all the way to the end or maybe they will try their luck hopeing I will have a weak moment and compromise what I am looking for or maybe they think I will share their company while filling in time for what I really want. My profile is upfront and confronting but the person I am looking for will be unafraid of that. Hopefully I wont be tempted te press the' edit my profile' while I am enjoying a red wine. God help those that 'drink and dia'l 'Lol! Miss K

    I think its important to read and update regularly. Its funny how many people we have messaged and what they are looking for in the message is nothing like what is on the profile. I agree that the ask me in multiples is annoying and a waste of time. Also those who use the prefabricated answers in the about me & looking for section. That is the most important bit I look at. It should show some personality! But dont update your status when you have just sent out some flirts or messages because no one will be able to see your profile...hahaha did this last Saturday. opps! Im a facebook girl so updateing all the time come naturally! Mrs H xxx

    I just had a look at your photos and profile, brownbrowneyes. How about I give you editorial license and you can help with my rewrite....and I volunteer as your personal and very private photographer? You can even have a copy of the pictures once we have completed the shoot? Why do I think my profile might be just that much more....interesting if you agree? Delay timers and high speed burst modes are my specialty. No charge, of course!

Ok so its been a while since I altered the body of my profile but as with GT I alter it according to circumstance and at the moment I am happy with what I've got there though that statement has been up for a couple of months now...my pics though...well any regular forum reader would recognise that I have been bored lately so have been messing arund there a bit lately... However it did take me a while to get my profile to read how I want it...a few rewrites..a bit of tweaking..and I ma good to go. Everyones moods and desires chnage so why not change our profiles to suit??? Kisses Focus
