  Wow thats a curly one to handle. Trying to read between the lines I wonder if you are still struggling to answer your first question. I believe the key is to lay out your concerns to your partner, communication is paramount to successfully navigating the minefield that is swinging when in a committed couple.In our situation we only play as a couple, we are looking to enhance our sexual experience and enjoyment therefore we decided that we only come as a package deal. This way we seek to avoid the pitfalls of jealousy of the unknown. My partner knows exactly what I'm up to and vice versa. This of course is not a silver bullet but it hopefully helps us.I'm not sure if i have given you an answer but that is an example our situation. Mr threesum4fun :)

  We got into swinging together, I'm (Mr) not really interested in playing alone. I'm frequently away for work and Mrs has never expressed a desire to meet play friends while I'm away. So how long do we play alone for, about as long as a quick bathroom stop. A weekend away to me seems more like a GF/BF than a FB.

  ...my wife likes to spend about four days to a week with her 'special friend'.That probably sounds like a lot but they rarely get see each other in the flesh, which is why she feels the need to maximise the available time.
