How do you do it?

March 23 2011

Noooo not THAT!This is for all you regular forum contributors here, how do you scan the forums to find ones you want to read and maybe reply to? Do you just look at the first page or go into each of the 4 major categories and if so how many pages do you sift through? For me I usually have a gander at the first page..seems to contain most of the current and new threads. I'll also check my profile to see if there's replies to any I've commented on. Sometimes I'll open up the 4 categories to see if i've missed somthing but very rarely look past the first page.So how do you do it?

I'm a first page felon like you... rarely go to second page.... but first I look at my activities home page to see who's responding to topics I've shown an interest in. Once your topic goes to page 2, I probably won't see it.HugsS

i just go to the forum page and thats it...so if it isnt the 3 or 4 thats on there then i dont normally look but then sometimes if i get really bored il pick a group to go into and then randomly pick a page and read away unless im looking for something in particular and then il go on the hunt lol....but i get bored really quickly so sometimes i just give up and dont bother roxxy

The topics that interest me or I can perhaps add a valid comment to. I start at the top and work my way down the different headers.I wouldn't call myself a regular poster though as I'd never be assed replying to some of the more banal topics.I also have no wish to see my name in nearly every topic either. Some topics really should die a quick forum death. As the divine Miss BJ saysJMOxx

I was thinking maybe my slack perusal of the only forum I frequent was a tad lazy, I now see I'm in great company:)

I usaully start with hot topics, and scan through to see if anything takes my fancy and then move onto women ask, guys ask, couples, and occassionally secret mens business. Then go back to Hot topics again, and add my two cents worth to whatever has caught my eye, if I am in the mood to, and so on through each category again. If I am being particularly prolific, usually means I am in a good mood and feel like communicating. If I am quiet, either nothing much has interested me, or I am in an apathetic mood, and couldn't be bothered.Cheers Nev

Quoting 'puppy'I was thinking maybe my slack perusal of the only forum I frequent was a tad lazy, I now see I'm in great company:)I hop onto RHP with the intent of going somewhere specific and 3 hours later forgot where that was and am going around in my usual circles! I do wot u do, but also, because I am newer to the forums, when i find a person that i am sorta like for like with, then i follow their topics they posted to, as a bit of an interest on them and reading some of the past topics, instead of just trolling back. It is more interesting when u read posts done by people that interest you. As a newer forum peep?!

I am not a regular poster, but I am a regular reader of forums...I use the "Recent Posts" list on the right of the screen, the one that is there while you are reading this. It is visible in every forum, so I usually start with the ones people are posting on that show up on my "Home" page, and move to the Recent Posts list. Very rarely will I even dig into the Forum page, and when I do, it can be rather random. Headings that grab my attention, or leave me puzzled will be the first that I open. I like to read the Original Post, and decide from there whether to read on. But the truth is that so many of you people are so fucking funny, that I can read about the least interesting of topics, and still get a laugh. I like that. It keeps me coming back...
