lol.. I Know.. I went on there and started rating people just for fun.. the next thing I know.. they're checking out my profile! Good for business I say... also once I realised what was going on.... it made me start to rate every person higher... lol. Hugs Gaz

I don't think any rating type thing is a good idea. For one it is not voluntary, your pic will show for rating whether you want it to or not (well from what I can tell, because I havent signed up and I am being rated). Healthy competion is fine for those that want to compete, but some ppl that score very low, may have low self esteem, body image issues whatever, I am sure they don't want to have unknowns telling them your at the bottom of the scale. No different then getting a message that says geez ur ugly, and thats not nice either. Secondly, it doesnt accurately rate a person as being hot, you dont have to be gorgeous to be hot. What about personality, character etc. So what you have chisled abs and good looks, but your wanted in 3 states for criminal activity and you torture small animals in your spare time. Ummm don't think you would give a score of 5 somehow if you knew more about the person. I have seen other sites that have done similar type ratings, and I don't think they work, if people have a grudge they give them a low score etc. On one site the scores are displayed on the profiles, but I don't think the scores are displayed anywhere here escept once you have rated someone, which you have to do to get to the next one, there is no choosing who you want to rate. There is redhotpics and hotpics to rate and leave comments, which I think is enough. People that put their pics up in there, volunteer to do so including what ever score and comments they receive. If it is going to stay, make it voluntary. xx Miss Honey xx

Hi All, we agree with Miss Honey that the person who has put up the pic for all to see should have some sort of control over what messages are left on the pics from other people, it takes a little courage to put up a pic and anonymous message posters should have to show who they are to as well. Gaz... illion lol... it definitely encourages more 'profile views', in the short term at least... I'd be interested to know if you're still getting a good response rate to your flirts and if any of them have been different at all :-) It would be great to hear from others how ticking the flirt box is working out for them... princevaliant... I tried to get around rating each pic before moving on to the next one myself lol. After some thought tho, I'm assuming having to vote is meant to be part of a random process so we can't pick and choose who we vote for. I did try clicking halfway between numbers as Gaz suggested and did find a point where I could click and nothing would happen but clicking a fraction either side of that point registered as a vote :-) xxMiss_Honeyxx... I wondered if people needed to sign up to be rated when I first saw 'Hot or What?' cos I wanted to be involved and spent ages reading through the info on the amateur pics page without becoming any the wiser. After reading your post and rating MrsPeachy63 last night lol, I'm certain that there is indeed no sign-up/volunteer option. I can see your point of view and that of the others you've put forward and would definitely prefer to be offered the option to sign-up or not but can also see that we would likely end up with a very limited amount of pics to rate. I wonder if RHP would remove a person's profile if they requested it... tho another option, depending on how important it is to anyone, considering the rating is based on the main profile pic, would be to change your main profile pic to exclude it from selection by either removing all pics from your profile (perhaps moving them to your Private Gallery/ies) or having a pic that RHP would rate as RedHot as your main profile pic. Secondly, I'm happy rating the pic and not the person, or more accurately, my perception of the person. I'll be rating on the quality of the pic adding points for showing a sense of individuality and deducting points for things like wearing dirty clothes, having rubbish etc in the background or being just plain repetitive lol. Others of course will have their own standards to rate by. As you said, it seems the ratings are only shown after we have rated. It's just as well we can't choose who we rate, it makes it a lot harder to search out someone to either add to or take from their score. I tried :-D While I have often thought about submitting a set of pics to HotPics and have recently decided upon a theme if we ever get around to shooting it :-P I'm not sure how confident I feel knowing, that once I have submitted pics and they have been accepted, I won't be able to remove them from RHP. With 'Hot or What?' we still have the freedom of changing or removing our profile pic at any time we choose :-) I've kept an eye on 'Hot or What?' since starting this thread to see if anything changed at all and can see by the rising number of votes on each person's rating that more people are voting which is much more interesting than reading this person has a rating of... based on 1 vote pmsl. Perhaps it will encourage people to put more effort into their profile pics... Not too sure how much it's gonna matter tho considering one of the top 3 pics overall for some time now is a guy pointing a gun at a human outline he is holding :-S It's also disappointing that it seems we, as a couple, can't feature in the top 3 overall considering singles profiles don't have the option to rate couples profiles :-( Hugs all MrsPeachy :-*

to the people who took the time to, not only check out 'Hot or What?' (HorW!), but to let me know what they thought and/or how it was working out for them :-) I was sure people would have more to say considering how many popular threads and random posts there are in the forums commenting on the negative aspects of profile pics. The: sideways/upside down shots, : more than one person on single profiles, : only the woman on couples profiles : the crowd in couples profiles, : out of date pics, : animals, : cocks (not the animal lol), : soft cocks, : guys butts (Gals r ok), : cars, motor bikes, boats, : blurry, out of focus, : boring pics, and so on... Still, the HorW! scoring is starting to reflect RHPers preferences lol. Refreshing to see guys sideways pics averaging a score of 1, pity the same can't be said for the gals...

It is a interesting feature...... it should be broken into areas of the state, to many to rate. I found it made me feel a little judgmental and I try not to do that to people so I had to stop!!! Sorry if I offended anyone. Tantalising1 xx

I mean like it or not the rating system is there and it's up to you whether you use it or not. My questions is that it is obvious that some photos are taken from other sites and used and the words are the standard RHP lines when you click on view the profile. When that's the case then I score very low but if the person "seems" real or they have photos that are validated then I tend to score high. I suppose each to their own and you don't have to use the function it's more there for fun than anything.

I most often stick to rating couples but thought I'd rate some fellas for a change last night... who immediately started looking back at me!!! So to be on the safe side, thinkin' to meself that the gals are so busy they won't even notice us, I thought I'd check out some of our gorgeous gal pics. Had a little laugh to myself when I saw your pic AND a couple of other very familiar pics from the forums, coming up in the first few pics. All women I rate very highly... as well as admiring their pics lol. Your profile pics are always gorgeous as well as tasteful btw :-P So, I rated ya (highly of course :-D), and THEN not only do you look at me, you send a FLIRT... I didn't know what was I supposed to do next... Helen is seriously hot!!! Ok, breathe deeply relax... have a look and see what she said... awww, it says "I just wanted to say that I loved your profile." It was easy from there, just had to send, as I had said we would in our profile, "Thanks, flattery will get you everywhere!!!" Aaahhhhh... It's awfully funny that your post has got all sorts looking at our profile... COS... I updated it early this morning and replaced the long bit about flirts with a small section on how we would reply to minimal profiles etc hehehehehe... You were one of very, very few that actually read and understood that we would send the flirt you received in response to the flirt you sent us simply to say thank you. TOO many fellas that didn't understand thinking that flattery was gonna get them everywhere grrr. One of the guys that followed up with messages asked if it was some sort of an IQ test... I didn't bother to tell him that if it had been, he'd failed and managed to give a good example of ignorance at the same time hehehehe... Reading your post today tho has given me the idea that I'd like to put the part that you responded to back in and also add, that if we send the "we think you're hot" flirt (sent if you tick the flirt box in HorW!), it is only meant as a compliment. RE: checking your own ratings that people have given us... the only time I have seen any ratings is immediately after we have rated a pic which then tells us that the last photo now has a rating of ... based on ... votes. xxx Tantalising1... tantalising pic. RE: should be broken into areas of state... there are 3 multiple choice windows at the top of the HorW! page that allow us to choose from profile type, various age groups and states. It might help you to know that only you know how you rated anyone, so no need to worry about offending anyone :-) xxx LongBreak... Beautiful pic. It shows in my "real time info" box that Ive been rated....but I cant find anywhere else that tells me if i have or not....and also...in that box....it will say when someone has rated me "hot" but otherwise it just says "rated"....does this mean the others think im a dog??? lol! Good idea...just needs some tweaking....and although I dont like the thought of being rated without giving my express permission....i DO have a public profile...and therefor a public pic...so I should really make sure it does me justice hey??

lolol, Frankie... thx, I think... :-P Thx very much MissBJ... we've only seen the message in the "real time info" box that we've been rated once (from reading your post I gather we weren't rated hot) so didn't know the message could be different depending on how we'd been rated. The only other way that I know of to have any idea of telling if you've been rated is if you receive the 'I think you're hot...' flirt :-) Tantalising1... oops, hadn't realised 2 different messages came up depending on how we've been rated. I wasn't offended at what must have been lowish rating for our pic/profile tho, it did inspire us to edit and post a cpl of new pics (with more on the way) and refresh our profile :-D Excellent point Helen... I absolutely agree, how about, 'totally hot!!!'? Luurrrving the responses, thx all ya hotties!!!

We don't get to check our own rating score... we get a message in our real-time info box that tells us that when we have been rated or when we have been rated hot. People that are rating can tick the flirt box which sends a flirt that says 'I think you're hot, what do you think of me?' when they rate someone as Hot. It's only people that rate you that get to see your rating score lol.You don't need to do anything to get your profile pic onto Hot or What aside from making sure you have one and that it's not a restricted pic lolol... Yep I do like this feature. As I am unable to get in chat rooms on iPhone I have forums or hot or what to do. It's fun. Those pics that are not so hot I give 3. The hotter ones that are local I check out their profiles to see if it is worth a flirt attachment. Oh you couples are so so lucky. 90% of the hottest of hotties are bi and are looking for girls or couples only. Oh and B J you got a six just didn't flirt you cos I already had. Oh Mrs P there should be a box to tick if we want to go in this on our profile and an option to pick a pic. xx Fab.

Yeah, I agree with you that we should be able to choose to be or not to be involved... but I'm thinking it would be a little used feature in that case. There's a few other things I'd like to see changed...You wouldn't know that when single women go to rate at 'hot or what', the flirt box is already ticked, not so for couples and guys... been caught by that on my 'MrsPeachy profile, grrr.I'm not sure that as a single person, you've realised that you can't rate couples. We as a couple can rate guys, gals and of course other couples. I don't get that... My 'MrsPeachy profile gets heaps of flirts from 'hot or what' where this profile has only ever had a few. Both profiles often use the same profile pics that I change around now n then. I've always wondered if the flirts part of the feature was a way to generate sending flirts to profiles that haven't been on for over a month to get them to sign in lol. It sure did work that way to start with... Hehe deviant_to_whore... not sure about the millionth buuut I like your pics, good variety, look good :-P, nothing offensive ;-), and hehe best of all... they're all upright Hugs y'all... Mrs P'
