Have shrunk in size and the toppings have diminished. Wasnt there a big hooha in the news a few years ago when a stubby of beer was made marginally smaller? One that was slipped into the general public recently without a whisper was washing powder. All of a sudden we were convinced that the powder was now concentrate. For years we were adding twice as much as needed and now we put half the amount in of the exact same product. Smaller box, bigger price. Some amonst us were not fooled.

At the risk of sounding like a professional grump, I submitted a complaint to Fair Trading over washing powder. When it became "2 x concentrated", the scoop that they included in the box was actually 3/4 of the size of the old one. That meant that we were getting far fewer washes per box, plus the companies had halved their shipping costs and on top of that, as they all changed at the same time, it seemed to be collusive. I followed up with Fair Trading and they said that they had determined that there was a case to answer and they had sent everything to the lab in Sydney. That was early last year - I'm sure you can guess what's happened since.

well I just have to say what happened to my favourite little snack the lovely bounty bars...they have reduced so much in size its like putting baby bears chocky into daddy bears wrapper....they tried to replace them with their own brand cool coconut ...but let me tell ya they wont convert me to those cheap imitations made in goodness knows where ....I will switch to cherry ripe at the last minute they will neva convert me.... although I did feel the same about recods and discs and then they just stop making records.....so my suggestion ...like the humble light bulb ...get out there and stock up because it might be the last time you see it.....one lost is one you will neva see again...

I've noticed the change in the way people treat each other ..... The age of technology has made it so easy to be so impersonal in dealings with each other..... Maybe I'm just an old-fashioned country girl ...... but sometimes this age of technology that can bring so many positives can also hurt....

$2 Hot Chips would feed our family of six a few years ago. A 'cup' of soggy old chips is now $4.50.....F-F-FFS..? Or $6 at the circus, or $16 at Disney On Ice!!! No shit people......lol....sorry got me started now. Brisbane Entertainment Centre.....Snow Cone $10 = Water Popcorn $15 = Corn Kernals Fairy Floss $20 = Sugar A crappy little spinny, light up 'Disney' toy that 'may' last til the end of thre show if you're lucky = $25!!! A helium balloon to let go of about 6 minutes later = $15 But the day out, with your darling little treasures = Priceless! =D

Notice you get more ice in your mixed drinks nowadays as well. They get really cheesed off with me when I order Bundy Rum and Coke with no ice.

But do you drink them just as quick?! Me too...? I don't like my bundy watered down and find it easier not having to sip 'around' the ice..the drink is never around long enough to get warm :P It's funny the people who think you get more alcohol when there's no ice!? Hahaa..? More pre-watered down 'choke' at maccas maybe! And whatever you do, if you do decide you want ice again, watch....and if you see a bartender 'smashes' your glass into the ice, and not using a scoop to scoop it in with...ask for another one, with no ice. Then, you can enjoy your bundy without the risk of internal bleeding. What about when they changed the Bundy bottle to 700mls!!? And the cans alcohol percentage from 5.5 to 5, and now it's 4.8......?!? Bastards. No wonder it takes me more to get pissy these days.....I just thought it was because I'm a rum pig. Hehee...*snort* hehe..*hic*..
