I hope all the mothers here get what they so richly deserve from their loved ones. Hugs and chocolates to you all. I'd send personal deliverys to you all using NickWildes AMEX Black card, but the buggers gone and hidden it on me... so you'll have to be content with the thought :-) Hugs Wayne

Oh she sounds just delightful Miss Saturn. How sweet they are..... And smart too, already working the dollars out. My girls also bought something from the Mothers Day Stall and have made something too. The flour and sugar and tea are on the bench ready for the morning. My almost nine year old makes the yummiest pancakes. So breakfast in bed for me. Will be much nicer than the vegemite and salt sandwich I suffered through a couple of years ago. And I get to spend Mothers Day with my mum too - the first since 1991. It is so nice to be back near family.Hoping everybody has a fantastic day with their families.Savannah

I would like to wish all the wonderful mums/grandma's a special Mothers Day. Unfortunately my Grandmother passed away in her sleep yesterday morning ... she was 95!! Great innings for a wonderful, cheeky funny lady I tell you! We will be spending the day at her house and being Italians..I would say many tears will be shed..but I am going to reverse this and make it about the funny funny stories about her and the most cheekiest things she did in her life! And believe me there were a bloody lot!! I am going to make it a happy one (or at least try my darndest)!! This woman lived alone up to a week before her 95th (2 weeks ago) with no help from the outside world...incredible I say!! That is my brag for the day lol!! I truly hope you all have a fantastic one and get wonderful breakfasts in bed and those great home made cards (I love getting them off my kids the most). xFunlovingx

I remember those days. Helping my little one burn the toast. Then make it loo early so it's all hard and cold. Making watery tea. Breaking the eggs. Or doing coddled eggs too runny or too hard for the soldiers to dip. She's all grown up now. Now no one arround for fathers day. Aren't I slack I ain't got no present for her yet. Fab..............................I so wanted to bomb this thread. But realized at the last moment the abuse I would cop. Lol

This is my first Mother's Day living separate from the ex. It's NICE ! Not nice that I'm alone (without a partner) but it was enjoyable just having her and I and the morning has run smoothly.... so quiet (except for silly cartoons on T.V). Little Miss proudly brought her presents in this morning and watched as I eagerly opened the present (with her help). "Mummy I chose Teddy Bear paper just for you", "Thanks", I said, "I LOVE Teddy Bears" "Look Mummy, it's SOAP, you can get clean NOW", "Wow, thanks, I need lots of soap", I said Then we opened the card.... another cute Teddy Bear and inside she'd drawn a picture. "Look Mummy, it's you and I holding hands and that's the big sun. I love you Mummy". "I love you too". Next, breakfast. Little Miss decided we should have a picnic in the loungeroom so put the blanket from her bed down on the floor, picked some flowers, got two plates out and made it all look pretty (along with her 3 Teddy Bears). Meanwhile, I cooked the pancakes, then she requested TWO fried eggs AND bacon to accompany them. "Are you sure you can eat that much" I said. "Of course Mummy". I've taken some pictures of our picnic and will keep the photo as a memory of our first Mothers Day and how lovely is was. Enjoy your day everyone. And don't forget the wonderful Dads, many who will be feeling a little sad this morning, alone without their kids. xxx Miss Saturn

Thanks Miss_S... a heartwarming read to start the day. I'd like to add my Happy Mother's Day salute to all the wonderful mothers on RHP. Some trivia shared with me by Mr P' is that Mother's Day is the number 2 gift-giving day after Christmas. Father's Day comes in around 6th :-SHappy Mother's Day

Love The Thread, Kids are CUTE aren't they!! Well it's my second without my ex must say this year was easier than the last.My kids were gorgeous. A man I am kinda seeing for over twelve mths brought Bacon and Eggs round last night so Miss 13 and 11 could cook it for breaky knowing the ex wouldn't of given any money for them to get their mum something or show respect for raising his little two. So i woke 8 am WoooHoooo Sleep in TOP STUFF and house was quiet. The Little Man of the house was bursting to give his gift he been desperate to give me since Friday which was handmade Bath Salts by him and a Picture on a Tile he drew of me and true making of a man it stated " I love My Mum She Makes Me Breakfast" gotta love that way to a mans heart is through the stomach. The Next was Picture of me he drew with a flower saying Mum likes to smell Flowers. Lil Miss 6 gave me Best Mother award and Put in Pink Frame being my fave Colour was adorable and a card she made at home as she has been sick all week with cold, the eldest worked for their dad at his place of employment for cash to get me some gifts 3 Books one was Make Up artist one YAY as into that career wise. Also TOBERLONE!! Then older two gave their dad last minute call asking can he buy leg of lamb and stuff to make apple crumble which he did and helped show them what to do before leaving them to it. Even though didn't get a thanks from ex hubby for even raising his kids with no help from him, least my first ex was thoughtful and respectful. My son made me have bath after tea not bad from a 4 year old lol. Best thing is I woke LOOKING like Complete Shit and Felt it due to head cold and yet it was the Best Mothers Day Ever all thanks to 4 awesome precious caring kids I brought into this world their eagerness to make it special lit up my day.Happy Mothers Day Ladies also to men raising their kids as ur Dad/MumLOVE BUBBLESxxx
