  It's never about one special day set aside to celebrate, honor, and recognise the many issues worldwide, it's about recognizing them every day and the people working diligently to bring the importance of the many issues to an international audience (no easy task). Today is no exception, we need to celebrate, honor, and recognise how far we have come as women every day, as well as recognising those who work diligently behind the scenes to bring awareness to the forefront internationally.

  Am I the only one who thinks it’s kind of funny and ironic to celebrate international women’s day by applauding women for their contribution through reproduction. I know your sentiment is well meaning, Libertine. I think that’s worth acknowledging.
