Happy Easter...wot did the Easter bunny bring?

April 04 2010

Woke up extra early this morning thanks to the end of Daylight Savings and a hyperactive 5 year old ! The "Easter Bunny" left a train of eggs and a "Doodle Bear" for her to play with. She asked me how he got into her room so I explained that he opened my balcony door and woke me up in the night (this is actually a fantasy of mine but not involving eggs !). I told her he was as tall as the ceiling, with white fur and a pink fluffy tail. I said he had a huge bag of eggs and presents and he asked me what she'd like. She was very impressed that mummy knew what to choose ! She said to me, "But mummy why didn't the Easter Bunny leave anything for you?" "Mmmm" I said, "Good point, I'm not sure why he didn't". I then got the eggs I'd bought for her to give to her daddy and she ran off to give him the eggs and describe how the bunny came in. "Mummy....Daddy didn't buy you any eggs", "That's okay", I said. "How about I have lots of kisses from you instead." Happy Easter everyone. xx Miss Saturn

Easter bunny got drunk at my place, ate half a carrot, had two coronas and two smirnoff double blacks. By the time he got to your place, well you best check outside for orange bunny vomit. I have two hypo kids running around right now, 5 and 3, with still about an hours worth of sugar in their system to burn. p.s Doodle bear??? thought that toy was banned in the eighties. Surely needs a name change in todays environment of censorship and crazy religious types.

Easter is one of those times when it is fun to be a mother. You open your eyes and they come rushing in all excited that the big bunny has been. This year my thirteen year old is with her father...he bought her diddly squat (what a prat, no matter what she says, you still buy her something for Easter). She is staying with my mother this week, and didn't get anything there either. Tomorrow we get the day together, we go see a movie and we'll go to Darrell Lea so she can pick out whatever chocolate she would like to have. I guess that when the kids get older only a mother will ensure they get a little spoiled. Sadly I have spent the day alone...not even a visit from the big bunny himself!!! Just as well my daughter got eggs from elsewhere for Easter and is happy to share Chocolate kisses for all ILTS
