  i suppose, for some, it can be quite confronting...also, some lack the basic common courtesy, i dare to say, respect?they are obviously no longer interested...and it's easier just to walk away...they probably don't care much, anymore.....so the impression, the memory they leave behind, doesn't concern them, either....i am not being bitter, or anything along those lines....but i think, it is a fact, that for a lot of people, sticking their head in the sand , is a less complicated option...the next best things is saying goodbye in a text...

  its always means the end of something. If it feels hard then it means to me that i'm saying goodbye to something that was valuable. That always helps me.

  I had the same situation as you. the old platitudes ring true. It gets better with time. The swings between the highs and lows of deep feelings of love can be all consuming if you are a hopeless romantic. Good Luck.
