It's only a snippet of a person's personality that you see on here. You can't trust that at all. Like everything you need to trust your instincts. The persona you are greeting on here may be imagined or contrived by its creator. When you think about it, even that faked part still tells you something of the person who created it... so in that sense it is the real person. Whoever is behind these avatars I think it's worth looking for the connections even if the person behind them turns out to be different to your expectations. It's the same whoever you meet at any time.. not peculiar to the internet. Ask yourself how many people have you met that turned out to be turds you'd rather forget? Now think abut how easy it is to meet people on here compared to meeting in person and you can see that the numbers probably balance out. hehe Hugs Stalky

Us forum regulars are real. Week after week you do get to see the real person. You seem to come across as a barrel of laughs. But cross you or challenge the sisterhood watch out. Is this any differant to any woman. Lol. Oh I'm just a wee bit jaded ATM but I'm right. Fab.

but i think what they mean is....the mail and the crap i get on here i put up with and am nice and reply with thought and politeness....but in the real world i would just tell that person to fuck off and get out of my face so yes your right i am funny, very funny if you ask me.....i will protect those i care about and i yes this is me...its just a nicer version lol roxxy xxx

my humour doesn't really come across the best in plain old text, you can't see the delivery.On meeting someone where there's no chemistry or spark I do tend to get a bit introverted, I'm not the best at leading a conversation by myself, but can usual figure out if that's going to happen from MSN.

Not sure about forum perception but on msn I've been told I can be rather quiet and short with answers. Sometimes that's because I'm looking or doing other stuff at the same time. All you dirty minded freaks, I'm not talking about that, although sometimes....Had a person tell me that irl I'm a much better conversationalist oooh big word, brownie points for the grammer police. Actually it was something more along the lines of you are so quiet on msn and now you can't stop talking...lol. All in a good way of course.

Unfortunately i have been the victim of believing someone's personality on the net is real, only to find out in real life that she was the exact opposite. Turned out she had become that addicted to the chat, but just couldn't keep up the portrayal in real life (kind of sad isn't it). But I would bet that most of the friends I have made here are exactly what I think they are like in any situation.Me, I am nearly always told when meeting for someone for the first time that I am exactly what they thought I would be like. Now often that wasn't meant as a compliment, but I always take it as one, just means I am still being myself.
