There have been various topics posted recently about men doing the same thing and I do agree. Grow the fuck up. I do not get the chance to get away very often and when I do it is a major thing. I do not have another parent to leave my kids with and because of the way things I, I need to find registered specialist care. This needs to be booked well in advance as well as being approved by various government departments. I rarely play in my own town prefering to travel away. All travel and accomodation is paid for by myself and I do not expect the man I am meeting to contribute to these costs. I also am not a very promiscuous person and prefer to be intimate with only one while I am away. I may meet others for coffee or drinks but if the man I am meeting does not turn up (fortunately this had never happened) or texts me two days away from meeting saying he cannot make it, it just ruins the whole time away. There can be no back up plan as that means I may have to cancel at the last minute on someone else and I have already paid for accomodation and airfares. Short of death or hospitalisation, my plans are very hard to cancel or change. Consideration is the key and for all the time wasters out there..... Think about the inconvienience you have just caused. l Go waste someone else's time!

No-one deserves to be treated in this way. Its not hard to say "No thank you"?? I can't imagine what fucked up sick selfish person would deliberately set someone up on a meet knowing full well that they aren't going to show. Also happens heaps in couple land, but I suspect its single men or the male of a couple pretending they are a real swinging couple... I hate hearing this sort of stuff!!

I will preface this with the truth: I have never been stood up by anyone on RHP. I have never made arrangements to meet anyone. I am new, and I am glad I have not had that happen. I am also glad I am aware of its potential. But mostly, I am glad that Tank_Girl exists :) I agree, a text or a call is not that much to ask for. I am solemnly swearing here, in the RHP forum, that I will always let some one know if things change...with a text or call. I wll not stand someone up. I think it is rude. Lets see if anyone follows my lead ?

The thing is ladies, it happens also in reverse however I would suggest in much lesser numbers. It is a pain, especially as fionabee has highlighted you go to extraordinary levels to arrange the meeting. I have had it done to me on countless occasions and now I get really ansi whenever it happens. I am toying with the idea of a shame topic in the forums - what do you all think? Girls (and guys), 2 points; 1. learn to say no in the first place and 2. if you really can't make it, gees spend a few cent and send a text - it's not that hard or expensive. As for the guys masquerading as girls - grow the fuck up and stop wasting every ones time.

i agree with you, there is nothing worse than being stood up iv wasted so much money booking hotels and paying petrol and fixing my car all for someone that didnt bother turning up when they said they would i have no idea why people do it i only get once a fortnight away from my kids and i like to do something in that fortnight and if im stood up i have to wait til next fortnight to meet with someone else...which upsets me to no end i met a wonderful kind beautiful man on the weekend who had been stood up before...some girls have no clue, they are the ones missing out though i think...not the ones who turn up and Fiona who ever it was that stood you up with a couple of days notice when everything is booked...i hope you gave it to him big time and FUCKED him right off...he is the lowest of scum, its the ones that dont only waste your time but your hard earned cash that need a slap to the back of the head...they are the ones we should be able to name and shame, men, women and couples roxxy

I have never been stood up when I have planned something ... Generally I go out and tie that with maybe meeting someone, so if they show or not it doesn't matter I am having fun. Get to know the person ... An email/msn address is a start then progress to a phone number and actually talk to them not just text ... I won't meet someone if I haven't seen them in cam and spoken on the phone consistently. Love your work tank and I am hitting you up for a date soon lol

It runs the issue of abuse by people who have a grudge. If someone does not like someone else, has a lousy date, wont give head, gets the thanks but no thanks message etc. Well you all get the meaning. These people could name and shame someone just for spite.

Have been stood up heaps so I rarely even bother meeting anyone now. Plus most tend to think if your on a site such as this one that your some sex kitten that knows how to push and please every button, they tend to forget that for some in reality are shy and inexperienced.

I unfortunately have been stood up several time too. Not the nicest experience, but what can you do? Live goes on.I have stood some up unfortunately due to 1- A death in the family. 2 - Change of my flights and work not allowing me to leave for some fun.And those I honestly am sorry about.I try and make up for those times with some extra spoiling fun

I couldn't stand someone up, I don't understand what makes people do it in the first place. why not just cancel? no excuse necessary, you don't owe me anything and I don't owe you anything, so why make me wait around when i could happily forget you and make other plans? . I got stood up last night too, confirmed time, place, etc..then no show, no call, no text and no reply to my message "hey, thanks for wasting my time, it was great to NOT meet you!" . I can't help but feel like i dodged a bullet whenever it's a new person that doesn't show up to the first meeting tho. At least they pussied out BEFORE rather than DURING, hahaha. . xx sarah

We have ONLY been stood up LOL... Girls, We understand that meeting a couple is could be very daunting, but if your profile says your into that and your 20 msgs and phone calls say you want to meet us. WHY NOT FOLLOW THROUGH???... The mere lack of common courtesy is astounding these days... Just a text msg is all it would take to save the headaches.. Some of the worst ones include travelling from Newcastle to Sydney for a fun night or just meet n'greet, to only get there and find the person has turned their mobile off or won't answer it... We were starting to think the problem was us, but it seems like a reoccuring theme here... LOL maybe we could have a "user feedback" like ebay.. It would make for interesting reading of profiles.... This person has a 65% rating And 20% Liklihood of turning up.. Sorry to be callous but i think it would be funny

We have been stood up occasionally but it only happens when we fall down in the basics - ie: doing the checks, making or receiving the phone calls, speaking to both people, making sure they at least exist. We are all aware aren't we that a great number on here are fakes, probaly guys getting their rocks off on stuffing up peoples lives. If after a fer chats here we dont get a call or a phone number, we know something is suss. Trust your feelings, generally they are always correct.

For me, once the basic chit chat has been done, any hesitation in providing a voice to the relationship, a picture or phone no starts the alarm bells ringing and generally, if you back off then you hear no more from them - generally a fake.

that alot of girls on here and other sites should be ashamed of themselves if they don't meet up or stand people up! I am guessing it is just an ego thing for them...getting the attention on-line that they don't normally get at home or in real life! < I have never stood up a guy and neither have I been stood up by anyone! Although at times I wish I did or they did as they looked nothing like their pics or have put on 20 kgs since the last pic was taken! I even had one instance where the guy was not the guy in the pic at all!! Now, I have to see them on cam before meeting or I don't meet them at all...simple! < Like you Tank I have heard all the horror stories too. I have heard of guys being stood up and I have heard of guys that have gone to meet "girls" only to be met by TV's or TS's or even just gay men. I have also heard where guys have turned up, met the girl and then the girl asks for money and tells them she is a hooker! < If you are not here to meet anyone or if you have fake/old pics...I say leave the Site and let the serious people on here get down to it.... what this Site is about! xFunlovingx
