  I'd say they are just like the facbook friend whores, who like to have as many friends as they possibly can, so that they feel popular & loved...

  I use the friend list as an example of the type of people I am looking for, and as a reminder of who I want to message when I finally get off my arse and pay for a membership.

  Friends lists are funny things. It amazes me to see people with friends lists of over 100 people. Firstly you wonder, have they actually talked/met all those people, secondly seeing some people on those lists that haven't even responded to a message I've sent...bastards...lol. Maybe if I sent a friends request they would talk to me. Everyone can use it as they please I guess, some people dont use it at all. I think the validation is more useful but I think a lot of people don't use that because a. they have to be verified and b. some people do not want others to know who they have had fun with. It's easy to deny a friends request, maybe more people should.

  We don't add anyone unless we atleast chat with them and get along. Every once in a while we go through our list and delete people who have fallen off the radar for us. Last time we did this we received a few offended emails from deletees telling us how they felt about it. Too bad for them really.....we aren't here for a friends list....

  I have not a one on my profile. I agree with you Miss Donna and Mr Brett, why even put them on your list if you haven't met them...I think its a numbers game to most people. I also want to know why so many people you chat to on here add you to MSN yet they never chat to you there...grrrrr!! xFunlovingx

  I need more chicks to be my friend so that I appear to be a manly stud. Or a sucessfull cave man. Ugg ugg. Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha But seriously do you really want everyone to know????? It's a bit like kissing and telling. So those face book types who gather friends look more sucessfull here. I too have face book. RFB5

Too bad for them really.....we aren't here for a friends list.... yep exactly what i do...most of my friends are from the forums that i chat too....but the ones that arent, i get rid of them often...if we havent spoke for a while... i delete them, why bother keeping them...lol but i do check out a friends list, cause sometimes it tells you what type of person they are after roxxy xxx

  Races to check to see if anyone has deleted me as a friend lolAgree with all, the majority on my friends list are from the forums, those that have either liked what I have written or conversely I liked what they have written.The rest are real friends, ones I have met. I do have one or two that could probably do with a trip to the recycling bin though.Like others have said, I am a little 'curious' with those with lists numbering three digits - don't know if it an ego boost for them, some type of popularity contest they are part of or maybe they just don't want to hurt anyone's feelings and add all that request it.Mooka

  ..... to place all our "friends" into suitable categories. Some we have met or in the hopes of future meeting and/ or are just hot couples/singles. Others are forum buddys whom I share a laugh or agreement with. I also agree with others that I more often then not peruse other couples "friends " moreso then using the search feature . After a topic of stalkys on something similar to this I decided on having my own personal "ABS" -tract art gallery for my own private enjoyment. ( Thanks for the idea Stalky) So all in all its a mixed bag of fruit for us.
