But l only add if we have met or chatted. So yes l have met 90% of those on my friends list. And many more l have met that are not on it. So no strict rules apply aside from the meeting but. I sometimes explain that to those that message and request, l sometimes just delete it with no explanation. Some people just collect friends. Each to their own but you are in charge of your profile so do what you are comfortable with.

I get a lot of random friends requests too. I also have the rule though that I won't add someone unless I have met them, or at least talked to them at length and have intentions of meeting them. I am not sure what the appeal is to have hundreds of strangers in one's friends list? Maybe some see it as making them look better???

Very common. I’m not too sure why some people send random friend requests, saving profiles for future reference? Bump up their status? You can choose to ignore or accept. Most of my friends I have met or have an online friendship only. Not sure for others sometimes. - Posted from rhpmobile

When I joined for the first time a few years back. I sent a lot of friends requests. The simple reason was that on most dating type sites friends requests are just like a flirt. Took me a while to work out it wasn't the case here.

Will always get flooded with unsolicited requests, its not unusual at all. Facebook, insta, SC, RHP, its all the same. Females get bombarded. nothing new here.

Maybe it's the old adage of the more friends I have the more self esteem I build. I've seen profiles with hundreds of friends on them, surely you wouldn't interact with them all. Mrs Gamer

While looking through one of the lists for an event I think I accidentally friend requested someone who I hadn't met and hadn't even looked through their profile. I'm sure that happens a lot

I use to have over 100+ friends. All of whom I have met not just once, sometimes a few times and more. I have no need to say why, I just did and have. I think opinions about self esteeme issues are unwarranted. However they are of course you opinions. You have probably checked my profile and noticed I only have a handfull of friends. Some I don't even know. Why you ask..... fuck knows really. Does it matter....nup, not in my view. Haters are always going to hate. Just how RHP rolls. - Posted from rhpmobile

Less? - Posted from rhpmobile From what I have seen, I don't think it really does anything other than if you comment/post in the forums or update your profile it will appear in your "friend's" feed (all that stuff on the homepage) and they get a notification when you log in. I don't think there is any more than that though???

But all those thing happen to anyone that has you on their hot list or favorites. Or Stalking list......

Was from a Nigerian woman, who was a bit suss, that's just my sick sense of humour.Other wise I prefer to put people on my favourites list, their posts and other stuff comes up on my feed page and no one else knows who's on it.

Possibly means that you are blocked ..weird I know ...but I have also received a friend request from someone whose profile I cannot see. Hugs Q
