I've only been on RHP for a couple of months, but I'd never send a friend request myself unless I had either met or had at least had message contact with the other person and felt there was some sort of connection. What would be the point of just having a person in your friend list when you dont know them at all and may have nothing in common?

Personally i only send Friend Request's if i'm genuinely interested in Meeting Someone. It is annoying when people just ignore your request, without even bothering to at least send a message to say Thanks but your not what we/ i'm after.Scooter

Honestly what is it with some peeps out there??? I've had some couples & single females send out friends request only to view their profiles with 100+ plus friends, definately time wasters. !!!! I'll only accept or send out a friends requests if we both approve of pics in our PG's & have exchanged txt msg's for our meet. Out of the 15 friends that are on my list at the moment there are probably 2 or 3 that i havent had the chance to meet with yet due to availability. TG.

We have not had a friend request for months,,, we are starting to think that no one wants to be our friends on here anymore BOO HOOOO lol. We really cant see the point of sending a friend request to some one we have never spoken to before. But we think that poeple do it to make them feel wanted and popular.

I've decided that some people are just keeping tabs for later on.... others are really just interested in stalking me on the forum and being on my contacts list makes that easier... really.... there could be a zillion reasons. There are people around here that won;t accept any friend requests because they think it will mean something... and there are people who think that the order you place them in is somehow significant...... really.. it's up to an individual how it's used. The short list and hotlist get me wondering...... I mean.. what's the difference between those two?HugsStalky

Quoting 'SCOOTERMAN1063' Personally i only send Friend Request's if i'm genuinely interested in Meeting Someone. Perhaps it is like all collectors. The more you have in your collection the more status you have? Or so they think. "Collectors" please note - I am not here to boost your numbers or make you look good.

I only ever add people that I have met so that I can keep in contact with them and find them easily if I want to. Every day without fail I have some friend requests from people that have never flirted/messaged me before. I don't see the point in it at all. I like checking other people's friends list if they have added people that they have met, just to ensure that they are genuine and so forth. Dida xx

send out friend requests, I think people can probably tell if I like them by the way we interact in the forum, besides I think too many treat them as a popularity contest, and if there is one thing I dislike its popularity contests. I do however add people, if they send me a request providing I have seen them in action a bit ( I mean on the forums....in case anyones getting the wrong idea....lol) so that i feel I know something of their personality, and I like what I read.Cheers Nev

Illbursecret, thanks for the Reply to my Post. You are correct in saying you can't always send a message, i guess sometimes it's the thought that counts. After all lots on this site are only looking for more notches on the Belt.CheersScooter
