Friends are friends.... as in, you know them 🤷🏻♂️ Our theory is it helps with the vetting, you judge people by the company they keep so choose the requests you accept carefully. The favourite and match setup is more for the “hey, we’re interested get in touch”

Agree with Spicy! I think you just outed yourself as a "friend" collector. 🙊 Why accept if they are not your "friends"? I think that's weird. Ms Foxy

We get a fair few as well but won't accept unless we have met the people and clicked with them

Yep I think it's weird too. If they're interested why don't they message if they're paid members? I've had several friends requests from the same people (I always delete as i don't add people I don't know) but they don't message. Umm.....ok 🤷

I feel everyone negotiates RHP ( within the confines of the rules on RHP ) in the way they deem , suits them the best . Your expectation of what you expect may not suit others or perhaps as you suggested they have a different viewpoint on the friends request . As with anything in life or on here , if something is not working for you, change it up perhaps ? As our profile states we would only ever accept a friend request from someone we have met . We aren’t that fazed about having lots of friends on our profile and we never seek to add friends . That is just our opinion . Good luck . Ax

We don't accept friend requests unless we have met in person. As it is, with the like and fave clicks, we get some of those as well as interest in some date finder dates we put up but then when we try to arrange a date with those people we just get the runaround or simply radio silence. It would seem that many people treat this site as another Facebook just with naughtier photos. It makes no sense to express interest to people but then not follow through with at least a halfway sensible message?

I'm another that thinks it's weird but hey you do you. And how do guests show interest. Easy, pay for membership and send messages instead of expecting other people to do it first 🤷♀️

Simple really, if you are going to complain about this site, not being user friendly being guests, pay up membership or contact RHP Support. If "expressing interest" is not working for you, do something about it. Ms Foxy

I get friend requests from men I've never even chatted to. Those I have met, whether it's been a good or bad experience, I still don't add as friends. I don't want to be judged by what those on my friends list may do or who they associate with. I think we interpret the point of friends list differently. Quite happy to remain friendless and without validations.

I understand what you are saying. I didn't realise that the flirt feature had disappeared. I had it turned off previously. It is taking me forever to get my head around the changes. I don't understand why, as a guest, you can't see who likes you but you can see favourites. I don't have a problem with people using the site as they wish. Whatever works for you. I don't understand why some people send friend request though. I think their reasons are varied. It may be based on how they use other social media. Unfortunately there isn't a RHP for dummies manual. Not that many would want to read it anyway. (Thinking this might be an interesting forum topic). :-) For me personally I only have friends that I am friends with. Most I have met in real life. Shells xx

@sth coastcouple, you will get posts deleted because certain profiles get preferential treatment on here. If you dare call them oyt the complain to the moderator to get you banned, isn't that right superfoxy.

I only accept friend requests from people I know and respect and would be happy to recommend to others. This is my rule. Usually if someone sends me an unsolicited friend request and I have never met I delete it. Second time they send a request I block them.

@ SthCoastCpl8 - I do the same if I like a profile. I would send a heart and then ask them for a friend request so I get a chance to know the person. I have not heard anything back from anyone except I get blocked by profile. I have paid membership before but not one person wants to chat or exchange messages or some profile are fake. So it’s a waste of time and money. Tried doing free chats but that’s also you cannot use unless you are a member.

And that's why we are paid members on another site and not here. We're easy enough to find on that site.

Don't get many friends requests but we only accept ones who we know. We've had requests from much younger guys, why we don't know as our profile doesn't say we're looking for them. We would like more requests from couples as long as we've met and had some connection. At least it would mean we've had some fun 🤪
