I have been trolling these here forums for years, way too many years for some here!And yes there have been some memorable topics, from the down right silly to the very serious. Some topics there the attention they deserve and the posts actually stay on track, others have been railroaded into some hilarious side branches that turned out better than the original topic.I still take pride in starting a topic that lasted four days before it got removed by the Admins that wasn't about sex - it was about donuts of all things and yes someone too umbrage about it and got it banned - damn I am proud of that lolHugs and gropes .... For me ,it's not so much about the topics its more about the responses.., laugh out loud Tuscan Red and WowWow,the erudite mr.chick,the passionate slkand mlf,the enthusiastic flirty Meeka,the super suave Chasing Midnight,the irrepressible Caveman,the wry Felonious and Mooka, the fascinating kink is the new pink,krissy g,and mistressT ,the pugnacious pixie on pills,my favourite couple,jeenylee and jensman,the always thought provoking two balloons andmike and shell,the flirty bi fem and jean girard,DGT,the list goes on. Great subject Jensman Well in answer to your questions..Ive been on the forums for about 6 months...and watched some very interesting topics come, stay and go...and I must admit thru contacting people because of their forum posts.., I have been blessed to have met and made some terrific friends ...very important when you are a expat with no family here.....love reading, contributing, and like to think I am openminded enough to read ALL the posts (not just by my fav contributors) and I am pleased to say at times a post, has made me stop and reflect on what the person is saying on said topic....even if I dont agree, does not mean I wont ponder their contribution ... I cant say any forums have stirred my imagination..obviously Im passionate about some topics....but these topics usually have been done to death...still nothing wrong with passion and I dont apologise for my stance..we all come from our own perspectives.....but Im not against being challenged..I do like to think that I can look at another point of view constructively - I also like it when people share their story on a personal level...to me I can relate more to the subject at hand...which is why I post like I do I guess. I do hate watching threads hijacked and deteriorate into personal attacks, insults and even name calling..so sad...and I tend to step out of the sand box and leave the topic for a few days when this happens......having said that, I must admit I do go back in and read that forum to see if theres a upshot (rarely is) ...and its so sad to see it come to the conclusion that some have..just dribble.......I will always defend someones rite to a opinion...always, but when you are having cheap nasty shots at people..no go... On a positive I actually really enjoyed a post started long ago by Krissy G - "What song are you listening to the ATM.? ".....my itunes library definitely increased from that one...some awesome music out there that I was totally unaware of.....thankyou to the contributors I find the medical posts frustrating - I applaud anyone posting a serious medical question and asking for advice and for shared experiences.. one recently being on the subject of "Herpes" ...a brave post...and the response was enormous..but as a doctor I did find it frustrating watching people so misinformed offering "information"... that information obviously being obtained via Google...that drives me to tears..as not all that is written on the Internet is truth !!!!...and I stepped away from that one..it also frightened me in this day of access to anything and everything sexually related, how misinformed people were as well.....the level of ignorance was frightening. This forum also particulary upset me as I made contact with someone via that forum on a professional level only to have my words minsinterpeted and thrown back in my face..some people really do prefer to be victims (and rude) ,...and Ive learned "As much as you try and be the change in the world you want to see " (Gandhi) you cant save those that dont want to be saved..that was a great lesson for me...good to still be learning at 47 I would love to see more forums on non sex related issues...theres some great subjects out there...I recently had a incident that was a moral/ethical story which I would have loved to have posted here..having great respect to all those out there from different walks of life, experiences than me, who could have contributed from a "laymans perspective" ..this forum was a medical ethical issue but it was debated by fellow colleagues and in our frantic heated debating we forgot about the person most relevant in the case, that being the patient...!!! and Im sure we have all been patients at one time or another and I would have loved to have shared that one...I post on a medical forum, but I also write on other sites forums because Ive never really known whether a completely non sexual related topic will attract or even be allowed to be discussed here.??....having said that obviously Donuts was a issue of great interest at one point, so perhaps I can do this ??? And the subject I truly do not want to see raised again..but it will..is the posts asking what is wrong with my profile and how can I fix it ?...gee thats no obvious trolling is it ?...if you can't figure out what is wrong with your "profile" and why your not getting hits or replies then what hope is there if we ever get together (not that it would happen) for sex..I mean the sex will be mind blowing wont it ?, whilst you stop and flick thru the latest edition of the Kuma Sutra and you sms a friend to advise you on what your doing wrong.. !!! you are on the web, on this site with access to thousand of thousand of profiles to peruse ....take note: use a bit of imagination in your writing - dont use the profile builder.., put a photo up (not of your bits) , try to sell yourself - cause your profile is really a job resume...spell check, dont be crude or have a stupid handle name (cumalloveryourfacetonite) , do not call us women babe, hun etc , and FFS we know your here for a bit of NSA but try real hard to use other terminology!!!! - try to interest me.... its not neuro science and sorry if your married/partnered, MOST people (not all) will not want to get involved with you or your sad story that your not getting what you want/need at home... because partnered equals complications and most of us have enough complications in our lives, without you adding to it...that should be frigging obvious and thats why people will steer clear of you...however I do admire those that are at least honest in their profile of their partnered status...not like others.............................................ok enough said...great topic Jensman On that note please all have a SAFE (says the doctor) and happy Easter...

But not a fan of reality television or soap opera.Topics that allow for some creativity, insight and knowledge sharing are great. Social issues are good too, although religion and politics are perhaps best left alone.I'm very bored by "Hey girls do you like , cause I do!"And if we never see another cheating husband/wife bashing thread it will be too soon.But in general it's just creativity and humour that does it for me. Don't really mind what the topic is, isn't everything really about sex anyway?Mr Chick

Quoting 'SLK27' I would love to see more forums on non sex related issues... Just because RHP is primarily a sex site, I prefer to think of it as an adult site. As such, I like to read adult opinions on various subjects. Jen and I have initiated threads on Art, Self esteem, Word definitions, The Golden Rule, Feuds and Jen had previously posted about forum topics but that one only recieved three responses. I know you remember the "Americanization of Australia" thread (hehehe). You were very vocal there, SLK. I really don't want to start up that again, I just want to assure you that she wasn't criticising Americans. She wasn't suggesting that they were forcing their culture on us or that Americans coming to our shores should abandon their culture. She was criticising our fellow Australians for being so ready to abandon their own heritage. We are both sorry that you got the wrong impression about her motives and were so upset by it. Looking back since then, I don't think that you, I or Jen have held opposing stand points on any other subject. I hope that continues but, if we do have differing opinions, I hope it doesn't get that heated again. All three of us defend our principals very passionately, don't we?

No alls good Jensman..I must admit I did, at first misinterpret Jens original post.. ( and reacted accordingly - that is the problem with the written word..if only we could hear and see our fellow posters !!!) and off I went on my high horse ...its not easy being a expat....where exactly do you "fit in ?" and since returning to Australia - (remember I am an American but Australian born of American parents - well America bashing is a sport here in WA - it has something to do with Chevron gobbling up al the gas etc over here and reaping the profits methinks).and I would just like to take this opportunity to point out that Im not personally responsible for the war on terror...another forum could be raised on that one !!) so it is hard...but I also hope that my posts back came over as tongue in cheek..I like to think (exes may disagree) that I dont have a malicious or nasty bone in my body...wish I did at times !!! As a result of my rantings though..quite a few expats from Houston living here contacted me and we are all now bourbon swilling, jerky eating, Superbowl watching, Budwieser drinking buddies, munching on Hershey bars when the need arises, so that thread (for me ) cured some of my loneliness for the good old boys back home !!! So no.. all good...and I also took the opportunity to remark on Jens marvellous breasts..I would kill for a set like that !!! Im also kicking myself from omitting from my original post of this morning that one post did "get to me" and had me thinking for days about it afterwards..and although this is gonna come across as "sucky" it was a forum started by yourself Jensman..it was your forum..on "Mans Self Worth " - cant remember the exact title Growing up in a funeral home (yes very Sixfootunder) I witnessed and participated in hundreds/thousand of funerals and heard many a eulogy..and to me it was always a mark of a man and his worth as to how many came and mourned his passing and I do still believe this..however after I posted on your original thread, and you then shared more of your story as to why you had raised such a topic (being of your accident and the hassles with your work etc ..) that to me that put a whole different slant on the forum..and I would have changed my posting accordingly I actually pondered over your question for days (what is my worth, as a person etc ??, its is question I now ask myself everyday) ..and I thought many times of reposting but I didnt..apparently my offline life ( I have one..kinda) must have got in the way.....but I am really glad that you raised the topic... its not easy to post a personal story here and ask for advice/help etc..hell one has to think twice about posting about their booty call and passion for footy !!! - But to you both (Jennylee) I say, keep those thought provoking posts coming...Im a fan

I think the forums used to be more about the characters who posted, not so much the topic...Mooka's Donut thread was a classic example of that !Many of the wonderful characters that made the forums are no longer here for their own reasons...or find the forums in general, so boring these days they rarely feel the need to pass a comment.Occassionaly there is a gem that gives some of us hope......Personally....I miss many of the old crew from the sandpit....let us try and remember a few...Stalkypuppycustomer69 / girltuesdayridge_forrester / ridge -e-didgeevil boymissbowpeeksassymeMiss Saturn my name is earlnev&kj..g'day FF :)**miss honey**Fabgetyourroxoffbadbaddogmynameisonyourlipshawtnick_wilde......to name just a few that spring to my mind....some have gone from here for good...others lurk :).Anyone else think of some past sandpit members they enjoyed reading?

I think the forums have changed quite dramatically in the last couple of years. Obviously people come and go, and dynamics have to follow suit. Vicious rumours I tell you ;) A couple of my fav threads are "much ado about nothing"...which all came about due to people complaining about flirting and hijacking....."blowing on faces"......umm for obvious reasons ;)......the one I least liked was that story about 'taking' a pregnant woman, geez did that one cop a hiding!!! I actually do like the sex related topics....ummmm it's what I'm here for, and I love being able to talk about sex in a room full of like minded people, it makes sense...most of can't talk so openly in our day to day lives......well not without the appropriate shocked gasps :D Let's face it, how many peeps outside of here could you discus your douching effectiveness with hahaha ?

I remember that taking a pregnant woman thread! I got lambasted for taking it off topic because I merely mentioned Id have rather eaten a cream bun ( the real variety..) then thought of sex when I was pregnant- quite within the topic at hand at THAT point of time( and soooo true too!) . It quickly nosedived into the merits of cream buns..how it could be eaten smothered over a body and all other such diversions and some people cracked it, because the tome of the thread had gone from being outraged to having a humerous note to it. Thinks food items and RHP dont mix for some...ssssshhhhhh don't mention "pie!"

i miss all of the above folks that people have mentioned the forums use to be so much more fun than they are now these days there are way too many opinionated pigs on here that just want to throw their own opinions down your throat....at least with bible bashers you can slam the door on them....here you cant hopefully one day the forums will become fun again Hugs
