Fake profiles

This may be partially related to a previous forum "Curious about chatters who don't meet". I am new to this site having only been on here for around 6-weeks. However, I have already been targeted by two, what appeared to be lovely woman (possibly woman but could have been some guy from another country) and got on well. The first I made the mistake of providing too many personal details and had to change my email and profile name. The second (only last week) sounded lovely and apparently lived in a rural area only 1hrs drive away; however she would not answer any direct questions after several messages and did not reply to my request to meet for coffee (even though I offered to drive the 1hr to meet). Alarm bells started ringing. I have since learnt the profiles were removed from the site by RHP. It therefore appears some people only chat and message to obtain information like your email address, phone numbers etc, and any other personal information they can get (scammers). My question is: do any other members have the same issues or am I just very unlucky or gullible ?
