It seems every couple of months, one of these types of posts pops up. And there is always two schools of thought: those that laugh it off as a scam and those that proclaim loud and clear that the photographer is the new Ansell Adams!But one thing always stays the same, the photographer in question never seem to have visible photographs on his profile, always hidden away in a private gallery. That alone will create suspicion that it is a scam, surely if the photographer is as good as he (and his supporters say) he is, wouldn't he display his talent with a camera for all to see and admire? Or better yet, a link to his web page.

The reason why my photos are not on show is because of old men like you that just want to perve on them. I have morals, and the photos I do have are of women that have asked me not to show them in public, and because i'm trying to get established I'm trying to do the right thing. If you want to look at porn i'm sure you can just click through your history, and you'll find something to get yourself off. i've read a few of your post and maybe you should listen to them ladies that say you should dye your hair and lose some weight, who know's you might even get lucky after a few years of hard work.

Yowsers...its getting warm in here...someone open some windows! I know its hard for a newbie to get some air time here so maybe I can offer you a few suggestions Squirter. There is a lot of forum history to be unearthed via the topics list which may help you find the people that were interested in having erotic pics taken. Unfortunately, RHP is littered with scammers, hidden agendas and attention seekers, which is why this place is so much fun at times. If you are serious, and from what I've seen via your profile and galleries you definately appear to be, take a deep breath and have a go at appealing to your target audience rather than be distracted by 'white noise'. I am new to forum and still learning the protocols. It wasnt my intention to offend or scam anyone. I merely remember reading a post a few weeks back where readers expressed an interest in having erotic pics taken by a reputable person. it has to be above 1.7mpg as you just can't get the zoom! if you want i could lend you my tripod, but we would have to tape your phone to it as i don't thing they fit together. i'm sure with mine and your skill's we could make some great photos!!! and you have the added bonus of sending directly from your phone! amazing!

But as I said, there types of posts pop up about once a month, hence mine and other's comments about a possible scam. If I have upset your sensibilities, then I apologise and I am pleased to see you have posted a very nice study.Look, I use to teach studio and glamour photography in my 20's, came very close to changing my job in the military to a photographer, so i know how hard it is to find models and to get started in the industry. If you really want to improve your skill, join a photographic club that has access to professional models. I was lucky, my club was befriended by several professional photographers, two of whom worked in a very large model agency. They were kind enough to invite me out to several of their shoots. I probably learnt more in those sessions than any course I did. To use a model who knows how to pose, how to apply their makeup properly, what lighting to use, the correct use of color gels and backdrops and props etc was great. True this was back before digital, using traditional film, actually I did the majority of my work in B&W (still prefer that medium and for us it was free lol).Mooka

A great photographer can make art with the simplest of tools. I rather like the idea of mobile phone camera photography. It has already got recogniseable peculiarities like the art of self portrait for example.... the proliferation of the blue steel pose for another.... Great quotes and a really widespread record of our time. I particularly enjoy my iPhone for taking pics... And all the apps you can get ... Like polaroid app for instance.... and then of course there's the fun you can make out of photoshopping them.... emphasising the grainyness... Shifting exposure levels and distorting colour saturation... cropping like crazy to uncover the image... snapshots bebe. Forget all the esoteric stuff... kids are doing "better" pics (more modern) than most professionals do these days.... professional photography has become passé since digital cams came free with every handset capturing the real stuff as it happens and posted on facebook for all to see. Professional photography is dead. Printed media is dead. Check that shit out in museums. Hugs Stalky

you may want to look at art sites like deviantart or photographyonthenet if you are seeking inspiration styles / hints / tips direction to models, there is a model site called ausmodels as well you can bing or google if you want, i am sure you will find models there that will help you develop a portfolio and perhaps if you are serious about developing a portfolio, but there is always a but it will cost you, the models charge money for the different styles of modeling they do. as previously mentioned get out and do some workshops too, if you want to make money from photography you are going to have to spend money no way around, between my studio lights back drops, 2 cameras, plenty of quality glass etc etc and I still get out and do work shops when i can to work with other photographers. perhaps if it is for your portfolio you could offer a fee and photos for people helping you out?

ok take two as the marathon I typed last time didnt come through.bloody RHP :Panyway, if you are interested in developing your portfolio there are several things that you can do, workshops!! work with as many photographers as you can helps develop contacts to models/agencies /MUA's as well give different ideas on shooting styles positioning. going through web based model agencies ie modelmayhem, ausmodels etc the good thing with working with pro models they too will help with poses / positioning. unfortunately to make money with photography it usually requires money (cameras, len's, lighting equipment) and experience and if you havent got experience you need to pay for it via study etc etc. also working with photo communities even web based can help such as deviantart, photography-on-the.net and opensourcephoto might provide inspiration as well. I know with the photograhy group I am with up here will hire models as it helps reduce the cost, especially if you have to hire MUA's and portable equipment if you are going travelling and not just studio work. unless someone is looking at modelling they may not be happy with TFP. so another way of attracting people is by saying you are wanting to develop your portfolio in glamour/fine art nude and are willing to pay for it as long as they are willing to be used to help promote your business. you might want to look up model releases.good luck with it. as you do photos you might want to ask the people who then post the photos to reference you perhaps?
