If you have not noticed ,their is a war in Iraq, Syria, Afghanistan ,Puntland, Ethiopia, Sudan, Burma, Pakistan ,Columbia, Somalia, Yemen,Mali,Libya, Philippines, Peru, Chechnya, Nigeria, Eritreia, Palestine,Israel ,Columbia ,Turkey and a few more places with talk of attacking Iran who has a defence pact with Russia and China,who have stated if Iran is attacked ,Russia and China will defend their ally.We have economic unrest in Greece,Spain,Ireland,UK,Russia,China,Portugal,USA,France and another 50 odd countries.Defence Spending is at an all time high ,when the world economies are shrinking.The Asia region is going thru an arms race,as China is flexing its economic might and dictating ownership of the Spratly islands with countries such as , Philippines,Thailand, Burma,Japan,Vietnam all being bullied by China.We are having a currency war at the moment with all countries trying to devalue their dollar.History has shown that once the currency war stops,the shooting war starts.Now if i was a betting man i would have to say if the economy is not going to well and defence spending is at an all time high ,we are heading for a World War.As for what will be the end of me i am picking RHP!

Well who would really have expected the Mayans to compose an infinite calender, thats just ludicrous and possibly impossible with the tools at their disposal at the time and more than likely somebody just forgot to carve into stone "To be continued,,,,,,,,,."Hmmmmm now where is my trusty zombie donger?As for the Y2K bug well that was one of the biggest scams of all time, I believe, and globally the cost to computer users was in excess of 100 billion dollars to fix.I had a 10 dollar digital watch in the early nineties that could have the date and time set up to the year 2048, you work it out.Anyway, off to set my computer time to 2013 to avoid having to dong endless hoards of zombies. hmmmm how do you kill a zombie, aint they supposed to be dead already?Now to the weather.

is apparently upon us. A time for transformation and renewal. Some say we are nearing the end of Kali Yuga (the age of Kali) in the vedic/tantric beliefs. The Kali Yuga is associated with strife, discord and contention. This is highly contended though as some say this current age is set to remain for over 400 000 years :/I have a friend who suggests that our vibrational state will be raised from 'level 3' to 'level 5' which is apparently where the angels sit and is difficult to remain embodied in. Meaning that only those who are awakened to some degree will ascend. the calender is NOT an "end of the world" prophesy calender. it does NOT predict the end of the world... Mayan calendar counts time by days from one day, month, year to billions of years. They have well over20 calendars, including the Long Count Calendar which ends the 13th baktun period (that started August 11, 3113 BC) on December 21, 2012. Again, the current 13 baktun cycle ends on December 21, 2012. However, the new found 17 baktun cycle exte... nds the Maya time line for an additional 1,124 years to the year 3,136 AD. You should note that the dates on certain monuments extend farther into the future, such as the inscription at the site of Pakal’s tomb at Palenque. Pakal’s tomb is inscribed with his birth date plus 20 baktuns to the date of October 13, 4772 AD, which indicates that the Maya had all intention of extending time far into the future. The Mayans were the most advanced in mathematics and astronomy of all the MesoAmerican cultures. All the other cultures borrowed from them. The Mayan calendar is very inaccurate when calculating years. Not only did they not account for leap years, they were completely wrong about how many days were in a year. The Mayan “tun” (tun being one year) is 360 days long, equivalent of 0.986 years. . On December 21, 2012, the first number in the Mayan calendar will change from 12 to 13, making it 13.0.0.0.0. The last time this happened was on September 18, 1618, when the current baktun started. As you have already imagined, the Mayan date on that day was 12.0.0.0.0. Obviously, the world didn’t end. . Also do not forget that the Mayans were raided by the Spaniards and had to flee .. therefore not being able to keep going with the calendar! . My concern is for people who believe in the world ending on 21 December therefore taking their own lives on 20 December! xFunlovingx

Are you worried about the end of the human race or the total destruction of the planet? The planet will survive the human race but the human race will not survive until the end of this planet. I can't say if we will even survive for another 500 years at the curremnt rate of pollution of our air, sea and soils. Meh! I tend to focus on the near futuref (around 100 years) is reasonable. Asteroids? HAHA. not much we can do about that. Nuclear war? our own fault and we deserve to be wiped out if we can't get over the shit we shouldn't do. The second coming of christ? the most absurd idea out there. Nostradamus? woo hoo wee going there really? Alien invasion? pretty much up there with the second coming. It would be nice if there was some evidence of intelligence being an evolutionary positive, however due to the manipulation of the physical world mostly for greed, it has lead to the extinction of various species and maybe to include us soon enough. @ keepingkarma because i think with my little head,or is that my big head ....I don't follow the main stream media,i listen to alot of professors and professionals in their fields.Presstitutes don't do it for me ,they look good ,nice make up and sexy bodies/looks, but they lack substance in what they report on.I don't think there will be an end of days ,but the ''big cull'' is on,to many people on the planet competing for less resources.

Bummer again I will not live to see this ancient race of Niburu people. Because in 3600 years my bones are nothing then dust. These Guys have supposedly engineered us in the laboratory ……??? And now they are on the way back and see what has become of this wonderful Earth . Bummer, bummer they should have stayed with us and given us more advise how to look after this precious living blue plant….we fucked it up totally. So, but, but, but maybe I come back again…. . People get paranoid over the death card if it is drawn but it actually means the end of one journey and the beginning of another, perhaps one should view the Mayan Calendar the same way, perhaps they ran out of rocks and boulders at the time, who knows, they were a suspicious bunch. Natural disasters are a fact of life, if someone wants to attribute that to the coming of the end then so be it, but surely with all the scientific technology we would be able to detect a major disturbance of the earth's atmosphere, the next meteor or planet that is flying through space towards Earth isn't going to get here for quite a few thousand years yet. But just in case perhaps we should all go out and do the things we have always wanted to do, whether bonking non stop til the 21 December 2012 or go for a trip or whatever your hearts desire.

I started to read the bible when I was very young.. then, Immenuel velikovsky... Velikovsky put more reason into stuff.. Look at it this way.. When I first read Velikovsky in the mid 70's, he was still alive, and the war of words and threats from the Scientific, medical and media fraternities was still raw and raging. Science created a model to submit as fact to us.. their fans..and the PLEBS.. Science had a shit load of information that did NOT fit into that model, but, they COULD not reveal to us.. so.. everything that didn't fit.. they simply cut off, and stuck in their back shed. Velikovsky went into their back shed, rebuilt that model, and submitted a NEW and REVISED version to us.. in his main three books.. and his teachings The aformentioned fraternities tried EVERYTHING short of killing him to discredit him.. BUT.. the interesting thing is... read the books now, and see how correct he was.. see how many mainline scientists are now suggesting the probabilities of what Velikovsky wrote about... Then along came Zecharia Sitchin.. There are certainly enough websites etc stating Sitchin is wrong... There are certainly enough websites saying the bible is wrong.. saying Velikovsky was wrong.. Saying the scientists warning about global warming are wrong. For your interests.. Google "Images of Giant humanlike skeletons found" Are ANY of them genuine? you don't know.. nor do I.. even the alleged 36ft tall one :) Every bit of science will tell us they are FAKE, or misrepresentation of animal bones. Every bit of science will tell about the LONAR crater north of Mumbai.. not a single bit of meteor remains found.. BUT much to indicate an ATOMIC explosion ----- 8,000 to 10,000 years go.. OF course... it COLD not have been an atomic explosion... Humanity had not discovered HOW to make an atomic bomb at that time. WHY therefore, do all the epic poems written about these things.... AND written BEFORE we ever SPOKE about atomic explosions OR exploded one.. describe exactly how a nuclear blast LOOKED and PERFORMED? *Shrug* I cannot explain that.. Prophets.. we can look at their works in retrospect.. and find velidation of them. So, in a 100 years time.. when we are at our respective places of death.... some of us will be saying.."Fck eh!! .. i was right..." "shit.. i was soo far off the mark..." IF there are any places of death... afterlife... heaven, hell.. I will be in one of them... saying... "Fck eh!! Oops, biblical quote. While many people beat a drum about the book of revelations, and various other end of days scenarios, the man himself (Christ), said it will come like a thief in the night. You won't know until you wake up the next morning and the planet is on fire. IF I had a tv to watch, I would be watching all the national geographic serious on various end of days scenarios, and like was stated on national geographic: 'why should we listen to a people wh predicted the end of days but not their own demise?' Being in Aussie-land, I cant stock up on extra bullets and ammo (don't have a gun), so I don't know how I will be able to defend myself if the end of days turns out to be a zombie apocalypse. Expect the worst, hope for the best.

2012 - We are still here. I remember quite clearly the cartoon where a hippy type person with dark glasses and hat in front for donations, held up this sign - the End of the World is Nigh!". so many times I hear doomsday prophets spruik this, getting everyone paranoid and depressed. I do believe in the 70's there was a bit of a Baby Boom - was it because of this, people decided to have their last fling etc. In War Time people would throw caution to the wind whilst their partners were away at war. And Now we have the Mayan Calander, who said it was the end of Days? It could just mean the end of one Journey and the start of another, just like the Death Card in a tarot pack. and if the end of the world is in sight then perhaps we fulfil some of those desires of ours I personally think we will be seeing 2013 in the New Year and we should not be so paranoid, getting swept up in other people's negativity. Perhaps tie up loose ends, I doubt whether a life insurance policy will be of value if all of us disintegrate as forecast so we may as well spend our money or perhaps have it safely buried so we can use it as bartering fodder

... i plugged the Mayan prophecies purely because it's "that time" of the year. I am curious on what you all think will be the demise of the human race and/or the planet though, there are so many other factors besides the obvious environmental impacts. Look at our world population for one, it's been out of control ever since the industrial revolution...there's famine, war, countries economies falling apart. Everything revolves around the dollar and i'm sure some countries idea of saving a rainforest is to purely print more money ~grins~ If the yanks go under we might be bowing to the chinese, hmmm, a health diet of communism and fried rice. Or is extinction inevitable?? are we that adaptable? ...assuming a giant watermelon doesn't drop from the heavens and squash us all in the meantime ~smiles~Thoughts?!

You think things are bad in africa wait till we lose the ability to have industrialised farming when oil becomes much more difficult to obtain. When that happens you will see famine across the globe, attempts to breed draught horses will take priority just so we can feed ourselves in Oz. Entire populations will move to the country and our ability to maintain a culture we have become comfortable with will disappear. I can see the availability of cheap oil diminishing as we start to drain the last of the middle east oil. Before then though there is the problem of global warming, changeing sea levels, eco diversity slumping and just the demands on fresh water caused by population pressures will be pretty much a disaster in the making. I'm glad I'll be outta here before all this hits the proverbial fan. Mike

Dec. 21 will come and go and we'll still be here...Well if we're not dead that is. The mayan calendar stops at the 21 of dec? that doesn't mean that the world is doomed!!! Every calendar stops at 31 of dec every year...So..do we panick 'cos the calendar ends every year??And as far as global warming and all that crap..think again, don't believe what the media's telling you. There is no global warming, as a matter of fact prove me wrong...Do some research and find out for yourself.People believe all sorts of crap, media and government say whatever suits them, fact.You mean to tell me that in 200 yrs give or take, since the industrial revolution, mankind has managed to wreck this planet, when there are volcanic eruptions spewing out million of tons of CO2, H2S, H2SO4, etc. etc. etc. every minute of every day? Have you people ever, ever stop to think that these underwater volcanoes have been active since the dawn of time????Nooo...rather jump on the stupid PM's bandwagon and go with the carbon tax..which is totally ineffective and a waste of time....People!!!!!! Goes on way beyond the point of 2012 in caves on the Mexican and Belize border there is one of quite a few Myan Structures's that has painted calenders with all kinds of events over time 2012 it is just another moment in time when certain things may happen just like on december 4 the Orion stars i think it was from memory where in perfect Alignment with the pyramids of giza the Myan calander goes on for thousands of years after 2012 i have seen i dived into one of the Under ground caves that not many get into due to the danger of the dive and they guides explain it all very clearly.I think the west drums it up for mmmmm Money tv books and that kind of stuff

You do realise world defence spending has risen from $1 trillion in 2000 up to $1.3 trillion in 2012? That's $1.3 trillion dollars a year spend on defence by the World.Now just because Australia has cut defence spending by from 1.8% of GDP to 1.5% of GDP it dose not mean the rest of the world has.Europe is spending less,but Asia is picking up the slackWhen i stated ,"that defence spending was at an all time high" it was meant as the World defence budgets.Alas the world is bigger than just Australia.If people have not noticed ,there is an Arms race happening in Asia.India and China are vying for "Super Power" status and their Defence budgets show this.Cheers.

i learned recently....so would appear that our solar system revolves around a central sun in our galaxy,much like the earth rotates around the sun every 24 hours,and our solar system revolves around this central sun every 26000 years or so coinciding exactly with the long count Mayan calender...so it would seem the long count calender is galactic calender representing one galactic day as such..........so we are about to be born into a brand new galactic day so to speak on the 21/12/2012...this would explain why the calender stops....its a new day it simply begins again...so how on earth did these ancients have this knowledge?...what a mind bender this just makes me even more curious...
