This may have something to do with the innate sense of nesting and building that women come genetically pre-disposed to - in order to maintain the continuance of the human species .. whereas men, are genetically pre-disposed to spreading their seed as wide as possible in order to keep the gene pool going. Hackneyed phrases all and generalizations too but, quite frankly, otherwise...I don't have a clue but it is a definite phenomena which seems to inhabit the male/female dynamic - not all, I hasten to add..I can hear the sexually liberated female on here howling for my blood. Might be a good idea to haul out that rubber doll, at least she won't be texting you endlessly wanting your reassurance that 'yes, she you are lovely' and 'yes, you do want to see her again' (fingers crossed all the while behind your back). Perhaps the women you are getting intimate with are looking for something a bit more than casual. Or you might be promising more than you are willing to deliver to get them to be intimate. Make it clear that you don't want them hanging around afterwards before you get together and you wont have a problem. You probably wont have too many women either but, hey that's life.

Yeah right!!!!! l Not on the first meet and maybe not on the second. I get attached the same as I do with all my friends. It is not a matter of wanting a big strong man in my life at all. It is a matter of caring. I generally dont have random guys that I meet up with once for a quick fuck and then forget them. On the odd occassion that things have happened that way I am not gonna cry my heart out over them either. Most of the time I have spent weeks and sometimes months getting to know a person so I do become close to them yes but no more so than my female friends. Now the women on this site are not going to admit to caring and getting all emotional as surely this would be a sure fire way of ensuring that the men all run the opposite way. It is basically a matter of compartmenalisation. Whilst I do disagree with a lot of the theory of Gray, some of it is true in practical terms. I make an emotional investment with my friends on varying levels and equally so with my lovers. The level and depth will vary...equally as it does with a woman. We are all from the same universe...we just approach it differently and I for one am happy to embrace and celebrate the differences. Meeting someone in an emotional vacuum? No thanks...I would like to think I could hold a lover in my arms even if we had played with sensuous silk ropes, scented candles and exotic oils. I prefer the experience to be an emotional sharing of some sort that we feel and explore physically together. Trying to justify a nameless, faceless or impersonal exchange of body functions leaves me flat. Ever walk away thinking "why in the hell did I do that"? I'm emotional about life NOT about men ! I do express my emotions but not after sex. Sex with most men from RHP is just sex ! The rules of engagement are clear. Too funny xFx ....and I have had similar experiences with a few of the ladies here. Jearzus, I barely had my zipper up and got the dreaded "Why haven't you called me yet" text. I find it quite interesting, I enjoy the art of being intimate, but I do have a problem with people saying doing anything to make you share your emotions and your soul. I find this more invasive than allowing someone to be inside of me, you can have my body but my soul my heart needs to earned. I had to have a birds and the bee's talk with my Daughter not so long ago. If only I would take my own advise. I hear you if only men would be honest upfront about their expectations of what will happen and what they want, then you are able to make the choice for yourself. I am not 'emotionally attached' to ANY of the guys I've been..intimate with. I am however emotionally attached to having my house to myself afterwards. Damn, half the time I forget who they are/where I found them/or whos number it is next to the computer. I dont even chase em up afterwards...unless its to say thanks for a GREAT time. I've had this problem a couple of times when I've met girls out clubbing. Everything is just so easy at the start but really there always comes the inevitable commit or get out situation. Even though both sides start off purely wanting a casual relationship it's just too easy to fall into a bf/gf situation unless you don't engage in any sort of conversation and bolt for the door after a successful mission.

If you're interested in some of the observable differences between men and women I'd recommend reading some of the popular psychology stuff out there. The most famous is "Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus" and there are dozens of others. A married couple with the surname Pease write some, like "Why men lie and women cry" and so on. They have some good ideas but just remember the 80/20 rule. What these sorts of books write about men are likely true for about 80% of men, in that culture (i.e., the USA), about 80% of the time. They're valid in that you can observe those sorts of traits in men, but remember there are always men who aren't like that, and even the men who are aren't like that 100% of the time. (Obviously remember the same sort of thing when reading about women). . It'll be a good start and will get you thinking. Enjoy.

being emotional and getting emotionally attached are two different things... don't confuse the two and flatter yourself ;)men and women get emotional because as human beings, we are not made of stone.... we all generally have some kind of emotive reaction to what happens to us.... TOTALLY unemotional people are generally put into the "damaged from previous bad experience" or aspergers syndrome group.... but then again, I would only be "emotional" if the guy was worth it.... otherwise it doesnt worry me at all ;)
