Eat, drink and be merry...

A bit off track for the forum, but in need to vent my frustrations. The eat, drink and be merry needs to be followed up with 'because tomorrow I may not have a job'. It has been a crappy week at work this week, computer malfunctions, internet meltdown, and the usual crabby people ringing through their complaints... Today looked ok for a while - the boss was out (usually a sign of a nice peaceful day to get some work completed), then the person I share the office area with left for the day. I was actually going to get a lunch break. I logged in here to check out what was happening, when I was rudely interrupted by the boss's niece. Now she does some casual work but spends most of her time having cigarette breaks and talking on the phone. She walks up to me and asks for her pay (we get paid on a weekly basis, the week after we have worked, but she gets paid for the week she works, even though she hasn't finished working it). When the boss is out of the office she comes at me complaining that she isn't being paid the agreed wage, but I am paying her as I have been asked to by the boss. Today she started abusing me because 1) there wasn't enough cash in petty cash to pay her, and 2) because I was insisting that she has had a half hour lunch break every day this week (in reality it's more like an hour)... I had had enough of this, after a few weeks of the whinging about not getting enough money, and blaming me for it...the worm turned. Not only did I turn, I became a nasty, snarling, spitting cat. I screamed at her that I had had enough, she could go and get fucked for all I cared, and that I was going home. There was so much anger in me that I thumped my fists on the desk, had tears of uncontrollable rage running in rivers down my checks, and just packed up my desk. The second I finished my rant, she told me I was the one who should be in the mental hospital (incidentally, I made sure a rehab stay was paid every week for her), and then she rang her uncle... I was still there when he got back to the office, and was lucky enough that he spoke to the guy who runs the warehouse out back who actually witnessed the whole thing. The boss sent me home to calm down, dry my eyes and come back refreshed in the morning... But will there be a job to go to in the morning??? Calam has never blown up like this before. Has anyone out there done that? If so, what was the outcome?

I also have the joy of employing realtives Calamity so if I was you....relax. The only thing your boss is upset at is that he was not there to see his snotty little neice get what she clearly deserved. Wouldn't be surprised if you get a raise tomorrow. ~sheen~

When enough is enough ..this volcano was always going to erupt, if your boss values you tomorrow will be a good day..Head up you know you did the right thing, looking after his money..xx Sleep well if you can..

Oh Calamity - I don't want to appear insensitive, but that was a shit story - you need to get in touch with Miss Saturn. I read the whole thing - thinking - wow this person really knows how to build suspense... I wasn't sure who you were going to strip naked and pash... was it the neice - oooh yeah... maybe the boss? And then - you mentioned the warehouse guy. I was practically drooling... could this be some sort of crazy four-some? But no. It was just a normal day at work for most people.... Oh well - maybe next time :-)

Oh lordy JG, I am soooo sorry to have disappointed you. Pretty sure I could come up with something good, just for you... maybe that time I had sex on the safe out the back at work, or the table at tennis... Trish...the minx won't go anywhere else, noone else would hire her, she's a loser. Even today she was pushing my buttons, telling me she had been underpaid...and then went on to leave a half hour early. On a positive note, I still have my job, but the problem isn't going to go away unless the boss puts her in her place. If she pushes my buttons I will just walk away from it all. and drove it 30km's home after a super shit day. took me three hours in traffic and took it throughthe bottleshop. was still pissed off when i made it home but a little calmer. think the look on the facesof the drivethru staff helped alittle. didn't get sacked (or arrested thank fuck), but quit the next weekas i believe life doesn't have to be that stressfull and there's plenty of work around really.ahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaMAX, the road warrior
