I dont actually want to be a cougar but bloody CM is so fond of making me look like one, I tend to have fun with it now. But personally I prefer from 30 + for a man. And yes I think of a sugar Daddy as someone who generally goes for the girls in the younger range you mentioned, but its also what they do. Offer 'things' for 'things' in return is the most common reason for the name .

I think that a Sugar Daddy is someone that offers money or gifts to a younger girl in exchange for sex! Don't forget though...there are Sugar Mamma's out there too! < I don't find that age has any relevance at all...if the chemistry is there for both parties, then who's business is it but theirs? The conensus so far, seems to be the issue of guys buying things for the woman so that she'll sleep with him. I guess I'd always thought of a sugar daddy as someone wealthy, 55+ who's looking for woman 20 to 30...and that does seem creepySugar Daddy vs Cougar is not really a fair comparison, in many ways, as men and women operate very differently with regards to sex (and what they want from it), but it's interesting to hear everyone's opinion.

and have had this arguement when the "Cougar" search was introduced on this site..Any woman looking for men younger than her stated age was included in this search. It did not matter wether they were looking for someone 10 years younger or 20 years younger, that female member was added to the Cougar search. But yet, to date, there is no specific search for older men looking for much younger women. I do not like being labelled, I don't think anyone does...I mean how many men would like to be included in a search named "Sugar Daddy" Just like the term Cougar has perceptions of older women preying on younger men, Sugar Daddy has the perception of an older male who has to buy favour for the company of a younger woman. But I have always wondered about men over the age of 40 chasing 18 year old women because they believe that they can sexually satisfy these young women as they (the older men) have all the experience...Some of these men have 18 year old daughters, are you that well adjusted that you would accept a 40+ year old man trying to get ito your daughters panties because it would be great for them to be with an older, more experienced man?

i dont think its creepy i havent ever slept with a guy younger then me older men are more understanding and know there way around a womans body if you know what i mean ;) I also percieve a sugar daddy to be a person who spoils an attractive woman, regardless of age. The Cougar seach category as opposed to the non existence of a Sugar daddy search. It is more widely acceptable in society for older men to pursue younger women, and it does not need a label apperently. Wether the women be 5, 10 or 20 years the man's junior is is still O.K

I do wonder about women 40+ chasing after boys no older than their children... But then, as most of the older women know on this site, there really is not much "chasing" on this site... it is the young guys approaching us old "Cougars"....and some of the younger guys are very charming, witty and sociable. I have quite a few younger men whom I would classify as friends...they seem to be more open and honest about themselves and show a genuine interest in you. And maybe the younger guys are clever enough to realise that the hot young thing on here that keeps sending you flirts and messaging you on msn is really some old fat Russian dude waiting to cash in on your hard earned.

The first person who would be calling that woman a slut, is, in my experiences, another woman. So, is that the fault of men or women? the statement only holds truth if you allow it to. Next time you hear the term used, why don't you fire back "are you jealous that they're getting some and you're not?" Allow people to use the term negatively and that is what they will do.

I will not actively seek out a man younger than my children and as Focus is so bloody old, the age is fairly flexible. Having said that, I will generally turn away the young 'uns in thier twenties. To me it is about personality rather than age. If an older woman can attract the younger guys...well good luck to her. I get more than a dozen messages from men in thier early 20's every week. If an older man is chasing the younger girls........ forget the sugar daddy tag he is just a dirty old man.

When I first returned to Australia a young man just wouldn't take no for an answer..Now how he managed to that was so sweet! I thought he was and still is so wonderful and we remain friends to this day. I was 41 and he 23 and we were close FWB for 8 months. Now after a few months I had to tell my family as they would naturally pop over to my home and he was there. My families comments .. Mum.. Well they do that now. ( Got to love a mum who supports you even if she truely might not agree with the initial shock) lol... Sister.. Good for you! Sister in law.. Good on you! Why not, older men date very young women. l personally dont look at men younger than mid 40s or older than mid 50s. But that is my personal choice and what l feel comfortable with.... l have 4 sons the oldest being 23, l couldn't even consider anyone even close to his age. But l do have many very young guys email me, sometimes can be quite tempting. Which does make it hard as would a young girl tempting an older man... so many young ones put themselves on offer.... so does it entice you to become a cougar/dirty old man or just a weakness of human nature...

Both are nothing more than a Madison Avenue spin put on by the advert guys to draw attention and sell products to those that want to buy in to what they are selling. I prefer not to buy in and think the name and label game is a bit of nonsense. | Hint...there are both Sugar Daddies and Sugar Mommies out there that play the game of buying someone off either through direct payment, gifts or other goodies along the way. Sex for compensation...we know that that is called, and the burden of guilt is the albatross around the necks of those that participate. Again I don't buy in although you do see a few very regular posters here on this forum that are incessantly rambling on about it in such as way as to clearly identify intent. | Now then, if a man or a woman happens to have either worked their backsdies off or have the capacity to enjoy some of the finer things in life...what is wrong with also enjoying sharing some of that along the way? Wealth or substance of possessions does not define any of us...unless of course that is the definition that we choose to portray or the one that attracts someone, in which case I would very definitely take either for a miss. | The real quant in my humble opinion lies in the EQ...the emotional maturity and compatibility of the individuals involved. Not long after my divorce I dated a lady 11 years younger than me and no I didn’t target her or BRIBE WITH MONEY/ GIFTS or FAVOURS in order to date her or fuck her quite the opposite it was her who approached me as a friend with a shoulder to lean on during what was a messy situation. From there the friendship grew into a relationship with her being the person who made the first move towards a sexual relationship, don’t get me wrong I was flattered that someone as young as her was interested in a relationship with me and did not try to stop it and yes it was good to have someone in my life who was interested in the same things as me. We were together for about two years and during that time I brought her gifts and did things to help but not because I was having sex with her or wanted more sex with her it was out of my feelings towards her. We ended going our separate ways due to family reasons and still remain good friends and often catch up for a chat.
