I am HAWT! Seriously though, I don't think anyone my age or older can be cool any more. It something I would associate with younger people.

wasn't it just in the 80's being cool was cool? Does it ever go out of style? Is it a style or attitude? Or is it just a word people use when they can't answer somefink? My daughter, at times, has told me that I'm a cool mum. Is that cool??? Foxy

Rules for being cool: Always wear hat backgrounds or at least slightly off angled, every - I REPEAT, every electronic appliance needs to apple. Own a hairdryer? is the coolest person I think to be cool, is to have no agenda, take things in your stride, look to please others without being needy for something in return, look the best that you can for your age without being obsessed with it, have a good sense of humour, particularly at yourself, and chill out / don't be needy for approval. I guess a cool person is someone with little to no baggage (they know not to carry it around) and is happy with who they are and where they are at

The term cool was the ranking system of high school. Since leaving school I haven't heard it used much at all.

referred to as 'cool' a lot. But I also get referred to in a lot of other ways too, some not so nice,lol. My kids and their friends think I am pretty awesome, not sure why??

But thanks to big bang theory, thats now cool. Cool is a state of mind that you are in that others respond to. You can't be cool while alone. If discovered alone and in the right mental state you instantly become cool again. Cool is an internal power that draws an external force.

Hipsters are in - boat shoes, skinny jeans, bow ties and the obligatory apple gadgets maketh the cool dude. I observe them from afar, marvelling at their antics, but like monkeys at the zoo I'm never going to be one! Geeks are in too, and there's definitely a little bit of geek in me. 8 years ago they were, quirky individuals rifling the opshops for dag, they are mainstream now. Baggy floral summery dresses with broad brimmed hats, how many times can one look get recycled. The people who are cool set trends not follow them and they would never label themselves as cool either. Which I suppose makes all the previous posters who thought otherwise truly cool... Me, I'd rather be hot than cool...

Im definitely not, I'm way to nerdy I reckon. Though I'm still not sure about the definition. From Urban dictionary:The best way to say something is neat-o, awesome, or swell. The phrase "cool" is very relaxed, never goes out of style, and people will never laugh at you for using it, very conveniant for people like me who don't care about what's "in."

You cant even make it out in most photos. Its a spike of hair about 5 inches long and only a couple of millimeters thick that hangs down from my chin. I get HEAPS of comments about it. Its also cool to spell 'cool', 'kewl' like i do in chat.
