As my profile does say it, Ivanna, it's more about a perception I am trying to establish, I think?! Lol ie no druggies, ferals or anyone that doesn't wash or make an effort. I have had a couple of coffee dates over time that has turned up less than an effort made (ie not freshly scrubbed or clothed!!!) as for STD's and testing, I haver NEVER had an infection luckily, yes been tested and guess giving the perception that I want to play safe, perhaps I could express it differently, thanks for making me think!! :)

I've wondered about the inclusion too. If you KNOW you're carrying s communicable disease.... my view is, you don't play without bring upfront about it (in your profile) allowing others to make informed choices. But by asking for D&D free, that inversely implies there's a "market" for (say) methheads with syphilis. Is it fair to assume people SHOULD be disease free? Damn right, but you still take the standard safe sex precautions anyway regardless of where you meet them. (I wish we had bar codes on our wrists lol) - Posted from rhpmobile

As far as I'm aware, it's not possible to be 100% certain you don't have an STI. Can anyone confirm either way?

I'm one of the people who have that stated on my profile. I don't get to 'play' a lot so it's easier for me to get regular check ups for STI's/STD's. I do this each time I change partners and do the HIV test once a year just as a precaution I guess I figured i might be horny but I'm not completely reckless so I still play safe and being 26, who knows I might still have 26+ more years to live so I'd like to make sure I'm well enough. In hindsight.... I'm not sure why I felt the need to include that on my profile :P I ran out of words I guess, haha - Posted from rhpmobile

" Free of any and all communicable diseases, parasites, and general health issues (mental health issues included)." Which made me laugh because in reality; The most common parasitic infection at the moment is trichomoniasis, a sexually-transmitted disease caused by the protozoan trichomonas vaginalis, with about 7.4 million cases occurring every year. Giardia, a protozoan that causes intestinal problems(which you can get from just having a pet dog ), follows, causing an estimated 2 million infections every year. And last but not least cryptosporidium, a protozoan most often picked up during recreational water sports and activities, rounds out the top three list by causing 300,000 infections per year in western countries alone. *´¨)¸.•´¸.•*´¨) ¸.•*¨)(¸.•´ (¸.•` ¤Everyone has general health issues be they large ,small or manageable.Nobody is a picture of perfect mental health...and everyone has issues, the difference is some choose not to subscribe to other peoples.

Profiles that proudly boast 'I am disease free' just to get talking to them and they say 'I'm actually really lucky I haven't caught anything' and i ask of they've been tested, a few say yes, others say no, but they haven't shown any symptoms so they must be fine. It's worrying. - Posted from rhpmobile

Nudierude2 you are dead right about that. trichomoniasis is the most common one going around, as well as chlamydia, genital warts and herpes. I wonder if the cave men had herpes......hmmmm. It's very daunting meeting people from dating sites, I have to say, after you discover you're attracted to a particular person and want to have sex with them, having to ask them these awkward questions, unless of course you plan on using condoms for the rest of your time spent with them. Did you know genital warts can be easily spread from skin to skin contact, so even if the guy is wearing a condom it's contagious if he's heavily infected with it, but you'd like to think he wouldn't be going around having sex while he's infected......hmmmm. Then there's the awkwardness in the silence after your partner tells you he/she's had STD's before, but is completely clean now......if we can all go through many sexual partners in our lifetimes and be lucky enough to escape having any STD's then I guess we'll be deemed the lucky ones hey!

I think a lot of people are to that same thinking. If I don't feel sick, or unless there's pus oozing out of somewhere I must be fine..... Naive at best. Hence why I spend a day at the doctors every 3-6 months getting tested. Irrespective of how many partners, the frequency of change. Testing negative regularly is testing positive just once :) - Posted from rhpmobile

She is a really close long time friend and now texts me to remind me to get tested every 3 months. I practice safe sex but I think it is really important to be proactive about this. Xxviolet
