  When it's unexpected, but all the while knowing that there's a bit of build-up and that it should happen :| Does that make sense?As for the mechanics of it, no tongue on the first contact please. I'm also not really into the soft, sweet kisses if I'm not in a romantic relationship with that person.

  Normally I am so wrapped up in the feelings of the moment that it just does not register WHAT the other person is doing that is soooooo very right. What I dont like is too much saliva. Yuck. I dont want to have to wipe off my face when I surface for air. Also I dont want to be kissed that hard that my teeth are ground into my lip.

  I don't know that there is the one "perfect kiss" and hope that I would be as uniquely responsive and intimate as the person I am kissing. There are some things I don't like...like a sudden tongue checking my tonsilectomy, but find the exploration delightful. | That first kiss...I do like the gentle tracing touch of my fingertips tracking somewhere near the face and neck, a light brushing of the lips then the gradual exploration and response to each other. Feathery light and tantalizing at first...tasting each other's mouth for the first time and like dance partners coming together in the perfecty matched tango. | We all may kiss a bit differently...but I like to believe that we can find the magic in that first kiss together.   Strange for me to think about one of these threads after posting something in but this one, that perfect kiss...came to mind listening to a song on the iPhone on the way into the city this morning. Can't really describe the kiss...but maybe how I hope it would feel.
