I am guessing that some people will be googling "Dental Dams" when they read this Thread, just so they can have a word on EVERY Topic lol! I have used them....The male really can do nothing but lick the dam...there is no room for him to finger her at the same time....either he has to hold it in place or she does! It is not user friendly at all! . Why all the fuss on Dental Dams anyway? How many use condoms for oral? Not many I'm sure! xFunlovingx

I've had one used on me once - she supplied it. It was okay, very thick latex but she wasn't at all clumsy in its use - I could tell she'd done it few times I was more aroused of the visual of her head in between my legs while Mr InAddition was behind her than the sensation of her mouth on my girly bits!Absolutely respected her right to use one though - not a problem!Mrs InAddition

Foxyloxy.....I know but who should supply the one giving or receiving... The obvious answer for duty of care is that each is responsible for their own care. Meeka.. im sure ur right there....not many Fun ..... no fuss, just got a big wooden spoon and stirring the pot.........

Some people find them uncomfortable and awkward to use..I guess there are prevention's out there that are easier to use...like condoms etc.Like I posted prior condoms can be used as a form of Dental Dams.FOXYGreat Topic OP - more people should be educated somehow about Dental Dams..

If you get a condom and cut it at a radius and then open it, it opens as a square and is a dental dam. We gave instructions on this at our back to school party a few weeks ago. Leesa xx

I have occasionally used them for cunnilingus, mostly because women were curious as to what they were like. Though once I did have a cold sore on my lip that appeared at an inconvenient time so dams were a necessity - I made an improvised one from cutting a condom that time.I always use them for analingus/rimming. I have my own supply but had to look online to find them. The staff at Adult Stores seem to look at me a bit funny and say, "Do we sell what?" when I've asked them. I did see some on offer for free at a gay bar once though and filled my pockets. heh. I'm told queer and/or feminist groups at universities and community neighbourhood centres etc also generally have them for free.Note that safe sex authorities do not recommend Glad Wrap as an alternative. It tears and moves far too easily and can have microscopic holes in it that condoms and purpose-manufactured dams do not.
