Hard core = will fuck anyone who is interested. Swingers come in all varieties, some club attendees are only there to watch and be watched, some are there to make social/sexual connections, some are there to fuck and be fucked. In between these is soft swap, full swap, gang bangs, hot wifing/husbanding, threesomes, puppy piles, orgies, fetish, b and d, dogging ... the list goes on. Hardcore swingers = swingers who play very often and who will have sex with just about anyone (as long as their heart is beating and they have a hole) simply for the sake of having sex. For us its not about what the couple are doing or with whobut the frequency. We would consider someone a hardcore swinger if they were swinging every week or two. Hard core for us are people who are very much in the scene. To the point where there’s not much else. We’ve had friends that we would call hard core. They played all the time, would have people they could call at a moments notice to help out, basically every weekend they played. And not much, if anything, was no go. Didn’t change our opinion of them or our experience with them (they were our first swinging experience). They are really nice people who we’ve had great times with and even though they were “hard core” in our books, we would still say they are great for newbies. For everyone though, their experience in the lifestyle is different. We’re not ones to have a little black book full of contacts. We prefer to have friends who we just happen to play with when we all feel like it. Definitely quality over quantity. - Posted from rhpmobile

Some people just have more boxes than others. We have found we tick some off, then meet new people, and more boxes are created. Hardcore opinion is much like the vanilla opinion. Some people would probably consider us hardcore, others very vanilla. Opinion is something that is not based on you. It’s based on the other persons standards, beliefs and opinions. Definition varies. Hardcore can refer in swinging, depending on one's opinion, to the number of partners, the type of partners, the frequency of said partners, or perhaps the activities themselves. A couple might have a gangbang for instance, but if they only do it say twice a year, with selected invited guests, and little other swinging, it would hardly meet the hardcore definition as many have said, referring to the regularity and not being very picky. However, a lone couple that also rarely swings, could be doing lots of "hardcore" stuff that makes the rest of us cringe, inside their own private marital bedroom. So essentially, as some have raised, hardcore or not is simply as fickle and as variable as anyone's opinion. If you're not hardcore, would you call yourselves softcore? Likely not, because both terms are flawed in being overly simplistic and therefor also open to interpretation and assumption. Maybe the non-existant "mediumcore" term :) In other areas of life, a "hardcore" cyclist could be an elite athlete, and worthy of praise and respect. So essentially, a "hardcore" anything, simply means you are "very much into" that thing, whatever that thing is, for swingers it could also be full swapping vs soft swapping etc.
