OP has asked about Day Rates, not hourly rates.

Just wanting to clarify: Since most hotels list their prices as being "per night", are you looking for hourly day rates?

Well the OP is married guy available during the day only, so I assumed he wants it for some clandestine hook ups so he probably wants it for a few hours as most people work during the day. But can you normally book hotel rooms for just the day and not overnight?

What the OP is after is a hotel that lets you have a room during the day for just 8 hours or so rather than checking in at 2 and then out by 10 in the morning. If you are only able to meet during the day you have to get the room for 2 nights just to use it during that day in between!! Day rates are usually around $100 and you check in at 9am and out by 5pmThey are usually around the airport as travellers use them between flights at times. I used to use these hotels when seeing a certain FWB and did a lot of searching so no Meeka not many places do allow day use only. The only ones I found were on 9to5.com

That sort of hotel is commonly known as 'love hotel' in Japan. Publicly derided but, none the less, a private necessity.
