Darwin Meet and Greet Social Night

Hi ya'll.... Thank you to all the people who responded to the posting for Darwin Meet and Greet held at Sky City. I was really excited to see 28 people post their interest in the event. Got myself all dolled up, even brought a dress....unheard of for me....and threw on the lipgloss as i walked out the door. Unfortunately I was the only one who came. (Pardon the pun... boom boom tish) I sat there for almost two hours alone with a cute bunch of red and silver heart balloons, and when I finally left, I was the proverbial little girl who had no one show up to her birthday party. Walk of shame...... If you want a night like this to happen here in Darwin, can we please all have a little better communication happening? Eg. having a phone number to ring the organiser if your not exactly sure where you are supposed to meet. I posted my phone and my email address in the event listing. People complain there are no social events happening in Darwin for like minded people to meet each other, so let's make an effort to do the right thing and not put anyone out again. Respect is an awesome trait to have, but it's even better when you practice it. Frack

Hey Frack..Unfortunately..it seems that alot of peeps would prefer to whine about never meeting anyone that actually turn up to something! I hosted one here on the Sunny Coast....and were it not for my group of friends that I regularly go out with....there would have been a sum total of 2 guys that showed! Heaps said they were coming....but I guess most are all talk.I would suggest that you get some gals together when you have your next one so that if noone else shows up...at least you can still have a great night!We have decided to now only have private parties....have them on cam...and let all the talkers eat their hearts out!Good luck for your next one!!!BJxxx

Well i've been personally invited to 3 meet and greets and showed up to every one - even when 2 of them were in Queensland! its just plain rude to say you'll show up then be a no-show ffs ppl manners! If your not going to show at least have the decency to ring/email/sms and say you're not coming so the host (poor frack_me omg girl ):) is not left waiting and wondering. I hope this doesn't put you off too much frack_me and you're next experience is a whole lot more pleasant. floyd277
