God loves a trier. I get messages all time from men who don't meet my requirements. I assume most did not read my profile and the ones that did, thought something like: I know you said I have to be over 6 feet tall, but though I'm only 5"10 (ok 5"8) I make it up everywhere else! And surely you'll make an exception for the age, smoking and relaionship status discrepancies as well, because I'm perfect for you! Now you just need to realise it too.

If men didn't push the boundaries - ok, stretch the boundaries completely out of shape - then there wouldn't be much activity on a website like this... or perhaps there would, perhaps the 3 tall, dark, handsome, fit, articulate (but not pompus), single, baggage-free, romantic, confident, respectful men registered here would be writing posts like the OP.;-)

They're in my basement, locked up. I'm trying to get them to breed, but so far only one of them is showing any interest. I was hoping for an army of gorgeous, sophisticated, attentive men under my control.... (Watching the Goodies at 3am is a bad idea, kids.)- Posted from rhpmobile

What I have failed to disclose is that both Manly and Messolonghi escaped from my basement some time ago.They were the result of a successful but somewhat flawed experiment in designer single men that would fit the criteria in date finder for most couples and single women. To be honest MissP, the only real flaw is ,that they are just not compliant enough and refuse to return to the aforementioned basement.In all other respects they are almost perfect. yours sincerely Doctor Freyastein Shelley.

We have to agree with donna and brett and mike and shel, we had put up a date on datefinder and got a couple of responses within minutes from people who clearly hadn't read our profile. When we politely advised them what w were looking for they went on a rant and didn't see why we couldn't make an exception for them.

100%. There is no bad time to watch the Goodies. BTW, I'm actually in Manly at the moment (not you, Mr McHardon, the suburb!) Sydney's a good town - haven't seen it for years! And yes, guys do tend to take the shotgun approach to Datefinder. Try not to be offended though OP, they're just casting a wide net due to circumstance.

When I started out here, I clicked those date-finder buttons like a mad thing. I didn't know what happened when I did (still don't), I had no idea about the ratios here, and figured the place was a little more chilled than it actually is. 4,394,273 new profiles register a day, and do what I did. That's a lot, a LOT, of people clicking and thinking "what does this do?" It's a theory.- Posted from rhpmobile

Messo, I am with you man. I click and wonder if anything happens? It could just be a dummy button for people to click on while doing absolutely nothing. Then again, I might have been doing it wrong.
