  Cause EVERYTHING over here costs 4 times more here than on the East Coast (nope Im not exaggerating) and trust me...there arent that many couples here..one or both are part of a FIFO team, cause everyone has to work up north to be able to afford to live down south !!!   The mining boom (some say) is about to end..and then all of WA will be fucked

  We only know one couple that are FIFO. But yeah, everything else costs more. Easy solution to that, just charge more yourself :P

  I'd have to disagree. Meat is at least twice the price you pay in WA and veg is not far off. I chucked a tantrum at my fruit and veg wholesaler (as a chef) in my first week because I could buy BETTER FOR LESS retail than he was trying to con me with wholesale. Apparently my new boss had never seen a "credit note" before. In other words, people will eat the shit they are shovelled because they know no better (east coast). Also, I'm paying approximately the same rent in a share house of seven in Melbourne, as I was in Perth for the master bedroom with spa in ensuite and private balcony with river views (bearing in mind, my Perth residence was no more than a 10 minute drive from he city... seriously, I could walk into town... whilst now I pay much the same rate for half a room at least 30 minutes from Melbourne...) sorry but the east coast is seriously lacking thus far...
