Cosmetic Surgery Thailand

October 08 2016

Anybody had cosmetic surgery in thailand? If so did it meet, not meet or exceed expectations? Which company/dr/hospital did you use? what did you have done? how did the cost (including flight, acc) etc compare to Aust? Alternatively, who has had plastic surgery in Perth? If so did it meet, not meet or exceed expectations? Which company/dr/hospital did you use? what did you have done? Im thinking boob enlargement and tummy.arm.thigh lipo and tummy tuck. I look forward hearing peoples responses.

I know a PT who had her breasts done in Thailand and she loved it, she said hospital was clean, staff friendly and helpful and the whole experience worthwhile. She gave me all the info, including doctor and hospital...but I'm packing to move, and I can't find it for you right now! lol

it's best to do your homework very carefully. 'Surgical tourism' to Thailand has become quite popular over the past ten or fifteen years. I have known several people who have had breast augmentation and/or orthodontic work done in Thailand. I'm told many of the Thai surgeons offering those services spent time training in the US. Most reports/results were quite positive, though I do recall one girl in particular who had a breast job done there which looked a bit wonky. She was quite upset and self-conscious about it. Obviously, as with all surgery (performed anywhere), there are risks. When the girl in question had saved enough coin to have her surgery redone later to correct the situation, she was left with nerve damage which resulted in complete loss of feeling in her breasts. Last time I saw her was about five years after the corrective surgery and her nerves/sensation still had not recovered. I understand body image is a highly subjective topic, and everyone has their own perspective. FWIW, it seems to me girls are particularly targeted, conditioned, self-critical, and critical of other girls too where aesthetic ideals are concerned. I hope my own daughters don't tumble for that. (My eldest has been growing worryingly conscious of body image... I wish she wouldn't - she's getting to the age where school marks start to count toward her prospects for later study and life choices). At the risk of sounding a bit forward, your current profile picture doesn't appear to suggest need of surgery as far as I can see. Still, those I know who've taken that step did say they did so for reasons of self-confidence rather than any actual need (such as disfigurement or disability).

wrt my eldest daughter and her concerns with body image, and distraction from her school work: It is completely irrational! There is nothing at all she ought specifically be concerned about. As is the case for most all of us, a balanced diet and moderate exercise should be enough to ensure good health. That in itself is enough for most people to feel energized, happy and confident. With those three ducks in a row, hopefully everything else will fall into place. She could then focus her attention to achieve whatever she sets her mind to.

...Jess, who went to Thailand and had the boy bits removed, a vagina fashioned and breast implants...8 years ago now and she assures me everything's functioning as it should. She took a friend (Jen) who did the same...haven't seen her for a while but I'm sure Jess would let me know if any of that work went awry.

I've seen and heard some great stories. If you can do the research n know exactly what surgeon will b doing the procedure then that's helpful.... What I don't get is how do they do their 2 week 4 week ect ect follow check ups this is all what's included in the overall price of Australian cosmetic surgery. To monitor signs that theirs no signs of infection and nerve damage.... Also smaller boutique hospitals are cheaper than main stream private hospitals in Australia........ However these main stream private hospitals have back up emergency teams and icu teams all at arms reach. Having a reaction to anypart of the Anaesthetic can be life threatening and you need to know that your in a place equipped to handle such situations....... I've also heard of the bad stories where a lot of surgeons have had to correct shonky overseas jobs making these procedures cost more than the original prices, had they done them here....... Overseas cosmetic surgery is 50:50 can go amazingly well, or b another horror story.. just do the research - Posted from rhpmobile
