Apparently saw a paranormal link between two events without a causal link..Synchronicity ..Serendipity on the other hand is a happy coincidence..I can't think of any examples ATM Peachy, but hopefully I will.Jungs memoir,Memories Dreams and Reflections is a fascinating book xx Freya

So at the time I was seriously into deep technical decompression scuba diving. 30mins @ 200ft on the seabead, then 2 hours decompressing beneath the boat prior to safely returning to the surface for a feed of antioxidants...lots of training mental and physical and technical.........I remember this day 6months into hard training, I felt as if id reached a bit of a crescendo finally sorting a few tech issues.......this particular day I really felt as if I was indeed part of my environment not just a visitor. I specifically remember this baby leather jacket almost mirror image mimicking me as we swam together .....This happened 6moths after I had a paranormal experience & 2 days before I had a heart attack.....maybe what made me know I would make it through & come out other end in a measured better physical condition..... Bullshit? No dead set fact.

First up, shall get the courtesies out of the way You shielas get all together for a short while and yous all bloody synchronise in cycles. Natural phenomena mother nature intended for some kind of amusement with punishing men or your own species, females in the jelly pit...?, not sure who cops it better. Often it is "Patience has its virtues" as most things happen in series of multiple events leading up too a happening, like pieces of a jigsaw puzzle, all in mind of awareness and trusting intuition, the timely arrival of the full picture becomes vivid, whether it is acted upon comes back too that intuition fogged over peer pressures. So I believe. (Gee Whiz, I knew that, wish I did something about it then) Then what I believe in most is, we are surrounded by positive and negative swirling fields of energy, let one in and it will flood in and keep on that wave unless a Momentary Lapse Of Time opens up too the negative, therefore it will desperately flood the nature of well being. It is in my belief we can sense the two and channel the preferred feelings of all what is around us. (Sure helps with love) Hate? Happy new year Peachy xx Mado Mado Tara xx

I believe in it all....Aries that was a great share. You and that little leather jacket had a moment.....as for your heart attack a) nice to know you have a heart, b) glad you recovered and; c) mind, heart and soul over matter, your conscious and sub-conscious self being perfectly attuned at that time. The feeling of inner peace, wellbeing and calm in the face of adversity. I'm not going to call bullshit on that kind of experience ever. I Believe. ~ Indy

We are all where we are because of a long string of events. Some seem random, sometimes it's someone else's fault, some we worked for, and some may seem to be synchronicity. We look back on it thinking, wow, it's freaky all that happened just that way and led me here. If any of the significant events had been different, we would be somewhere else right now. And we would be looking back on it thinking, wow, it's freaky all that happened just that way and led me here. Peachy I can definitely recall situations where just the right thing happened at the right time. But maybe I just think that way because here I am, and how else would I have got here?

Thank you Sacral. It feels like a beautiful 'pattern' sometimes, hard to express specifics though, as the pattern twists and turns and winds back on itself, as you say, when the time is right. :-) . It was like I was tongue tied Freya, I could only get as far as serendipity for ages, probably cos it starts with S and has lots of syllables lolol, but I knew it wasn't the word I was looking for, it is a beautiful word though isn't it. ;-). A happy coincidence is not the same to me as a meaningful coincidence, and that was the difference I was looking for. As I think on it, Synchronicity, suggests to me gears working together to create an effect far from where they are positioned? I'd love to hear of any examples you remember, I just know things can seem significant in the stream of time and as time moves, insignificant. Moments in time. The book you suggested... fits in. :-) xxx . I was concentrating better before you changed your pic Aries, can't say I remember seeing that one before. :-P Seriously, I feel like I've had moments similar to yours. Moments of extreme clarity? In a dream. Around Life changing moments. You are very young to have had a heart attack.

Hellooo Mado. :-) I think you know more than you should you smarty pants. :-P I don't synchronise with anyone anymore, hehe. I can rightly say my cycle was always a nightmare... and it was only the years on birth control... in between a couple of bouts of pregnancy that provided relief. I think I get some of what you're saying in between and do love my jigsaw puzzles, it takes a memory of parts and connections, and then there is always the piece you would never have known belonged there. I think that is the piece I'm seeing as synchronicity? There could be more than one key piece though? Like one of those movies where all the stories tie together in the end, and then it makes sense. The last I have some trouble with, in a way. Yous are wovely Mado Tara. Happy New Year to you both. . That was just beautifully said Indy. . Aye Sir Simon, how dost thou be? I do hope that be well. I can see what you say somewhat, I do love that chicken and egg saying. It's a joke we make about someone's name in the family all the time. To say more than that would be saying too much lol. I'm tossing over your suggestion in my mind to see how it feels rather than dismissing it out of hand as my bad mind is tempted to do. ;-). It's real hard to give specific examples, which I can imagine supports your point somewhat. It is not an after the fact thing for me though. It is an, in the moment, happening.

Jeez Peachy I misread that, Synchronising, just popped into mind and that led too thinking about you lot, except you at present Peachy, you have acquired an alibi. You're a sweetie Peachy and I do see where you mention "anyone anymore" but that doesn't mean some poor bastard and all his mates didn't cop a fair serve back in the day, with all your other girlfriends about to jump on the bandwagon with the Synchronicetitties being in a piece where not only you would never have known you belonged, but how could they have ever known it? So it has to be a group synchroundyatitties, rather than just your synchronicity in being where you belong now upon reflection, after all that. Yep in your prime times now Peachy ahhh the synchrotranquility, who could have known it from synchronising too synchronicity. I had an synchronicity with never knowing where a piece of me belonged, my penis. Upon reflection, I found where it belongs synchdbetweentitties, a wonderful moment that led to another synchrobitiffy of naughty things it belonged in, one at a time. Yep don't mind the odd synchronicity at all Peachy. Talk about full circle, that all came together nicely.

In the mid 70s I owned a bookshop with my ex.when we sold most of the stock I kept two books.one on Hinduism, the other on Buddhism.Over the years I made many attempts to read and understand these philosophies without much success.......More than ten years later I was living in Bendigo Victoria and one of my work colleagues was a Tibetan Buddhist. He asked me if a Tibetan Lama who was coming to town could use the centre I was managing ,to give a public talk. ...I readily agreed but was unable to attend......Years later when I was living in a Buddhist centre on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland the same Lama came to visit and I received an initiation from him....I think from the book to meeting the Lama is an example of what Jung was talking about when he coined the term,synchronicity...random coincidences with no causal link but a connectedness....fascinating topic Peachy xxFreya

Hi MrsPeachyPear, That you have chosen to post this fascinating question is exactly why I have become so enamoured with RHP, well done. Have stopped "believing" as it were in coincidences many years back, though for a long time sat on this disbelief as such before putting one's thoughts out there openly. Not out of fear from judgement, though more so to test what seemed to be a new theory for me way back when to justify the correlation of some substantial life experiences. It is with confidence that I now find myself saying to friends and family, should they mention the "c-word" a simple "no such thing as a coincidence" phrase with light and happy tones, to which they seem not to judge as me being a nut, which gives thought to them possibly suspecting that too. In the last two years with one's mindfulness becoming so much more into the present and in therefore being so much more open to life as it were it has further reinforced that connection to so many experiences. Great philosophical question indeed. And would like to add if one may that you seem fascinating also Freyaxx. Cheers,Nathan.

Sure is nice looking into your eyes and chatting again. Patients has it's virtues I watched an interview with Stephen Spielberg, he was telling the story from study in books of world war, Hitler and his structure with building his line of command and visions of a system that led too the making of Star Wars, we know the story there on. Its Yoda: something sounds fitting, Coincidences random hmmm yes, linked casual not hmmm, connected we are hmmm. That's cool if it made it into Star Wars.

How long is a piece of string?....its easy to work out isn't it? Just take the tape and measure it, of course that is so long as it has ends?...Right?....but hang on what if the string has no ends?....thus a continuum. But if a continuum then what happened to the string theory?

hugs... I get where you were at now... lol. I have always wondered about that myth. ;-) . Ok, things here are such that I have more time here than one might hope on New Years Eve. . Synchronicititties Mado :-P LMAO. I feel like I should slap you around a little, but I feel like you would enjoy it too much! LOL. :-P . I feel small when I try to talk of what occurs to me Freya. Yours though is a perfect example, I think. That things do tie together at times without needing to make any sense. But as kind of a exclamation mark. I'll never forget going under for an op and one of the nurses as things were happening, saying, I know you don't I. I connected (when I woke up) that it WAS a very random connection that a woman I knew was looking after the nurse's dog for a while and we had crossed paths that way. In a talk to the same woman who looked after the nurse's dog, I mentioned the name of a young man, who ended up being the son of her daughter's friend. The husband in that family ended up having the same type of cancer as my husband. But he did not survive it despite a long struggle, he was much younger. RIP :-( The daughter's friend did us the favour of looking after some of our belongings while we were on holiday. The day we came by to pick up our belongings after our holiday, the daughter of the woman I first mentioned was there. Interesting times those. . The more I try to ground the question Justnat, the more I feel it slipping away from me... There is some sense of beauty so much of the time. I've been a bit of a nut on this question for a long time. 'Coincidences'. There seem to be so many ties. More than I can imagine, I'm sure. :-) . It is good to see you Ms Freya... thou sultry, secretive, soul. A happy New Year to you.xxx . As long as the fizzing is not seltzer as everyone recovers from their New Year's hangover's Mado! . I have a fondness for macrame Mr Aries. Tie right and left in turns, you get a even pattern, tie the knots one direction in particular, you will get a spiral. Similarly, the strongest knot I know of off hand is the reef knot. Right over left and then left over right or vice versa. Makes a beautifully balanced, Strong knot. Looks good too.

I think we come to a good place if not synchronicity (which just quietly may well be the Force) and wow that's petty exciting. But peachy, I wrote up a mixed bag back up there, mucking around with synchronising and synchyatitties and no smiley faces, no ha ha's, just writing, now that could very well have been perceived by you and or you following the thread as you do as offensive intentions by me and indeed in a pickle with you and your girlfriends. Peachy we are in a good place if you know that there is no disrespect, just playful mucking around taking the piss out of each other with things. Well it's Hey Hey it's Saturday all over again. And that brings good feelings, if synchronicity does not have good feelings, then it should, could or would can will.

Just read this one.....synchronicity a balance and a meeting, the reef knot a lovely metaphor. In fact this synchronises with some of the hardcore deep diving community. Balance is critical to achieving strength in water positioning and yes we rely heavily on the reef knot. Synchronised Mrs Tara&Mado.

Last time I dived was at 6,000 feet up or near about, had been jumping of a table minutes earlier 3 feet up and that was supposed to prepare us. So there is the fellow in front next to jump, sits at the open door, one arse cheek on the plane, one out of the plane, arms out holding onto the door frame looking back into the plane, then when told to jump, he was supposed to throw an arm out and free fall in a star sort of thing, arms out, legs out, until the static line opened the shoot. He did not throw the arm out, he sort of fell out backwards with his arms still reaching out grabbing at the distant door, I'm right at the door looking at all this, then he had line over and twist as his shoot opened and his reserve, he pulled it out too in panic, he was in for landing a bit quicker than expected and not much for any steering, a ute had to drive out to pick him up from some neighbouring paddock, ok he was. (his own experience) But now it was my turn to jump, It is a moment of urge to come up with some excuse to get out of it, there is none, so out goes the arm and I am in that star thing free falling, white out for only a second, fear just has its moment, I guess, then only a few seconds five or six, the ground is so far down, it did not come at me, wind drag, I felt like I was flying on a cushion of air, everything became Crystal clear, solve any problem sort of thing and that is an awesome place of mind to be in, even for a few seconds, balanced. Then bang just floating in air under a parachute allows some time to take it all in while looking out at a big view of the landscape below and out into the distance, then grab the toggles and do the steering thing to land near the X which gets the James Bond thing going and crash into the ground with a bit of a roll out and done. There has been no other feeling ever that comes close to explaining it and Riding a decent sized wave is all for balance or your fucked, but an entirely different place of mind, experience and something else cannot be explained in words. So I imagine your deep diving has its moments where you just have to be there in it and I can appreciate that. My moments of synchronising with Mrs Tara, balances out that she is also one of them lot,(for Peachy) but boy can they make it all worth it. Another nice place of mind just got to be there in her in this case, in continuum.

2014 was incredible for me. As lots of connections came together... it was a year where I felt loss very deeply. For me, the air plane tragedies were a huge part of it. Everywhere I turned MH370 was there, horrifyingly, terribly tragic, sooo, sooo sad. Even the day I attended the funeral of someone who had been of major import in my life that I hadn't seen for close to twenty years. I lost my long held belief in them this year. This loss and and the loss of another effected another who was dear to me, far worse than myself, yet I feel they are now renewed, and they face the potential of experiencing and being a light out of the darkness. It has been like the culmination of a lifetime of losses. On the flipside, I was incredibly well supported and in the position of supporting others who were suffering losses. The year has closed with the loss of a third plane in mysterious circumstances... where again the facts are fudged and muddled. . And here I sit, and Dynamo has just turned an autumn brown leaf into a green leaf and 'stuck' it back on the tree!...

Quoting 'norcuck' gee wizz Synchronicity = album by the Police..........maybe 2015 is the year I have to look at finding a deeper me I typed out the story I'm about to relate yesterday, but along with the rest of that post, I deleted it. :-) The woman I mentioned above was a friend but that changed and I ended up dealing with the Police several times due to her actions. The number of times we ended up speaking to a specific officer who was actually a good friend of hers was uncanny. it was his actions that ended up exacerbating the problem as he behaved outside the scope of his responsibility as a policeman! . My favourite Poilce song... Roxanne... It so happened this woman used to be a working lady. And that has another connection for me that I won't go into. Which is a shame because that ties in somewhere else, and somewhere else again.

We can get away with wandering about in all directions, Peachy is in a great mood, think we one her over last night. I have spent most part of my life, the best twenty years with Tara first and foremost respected friend and have been mad in love lust and a happiness unmeasurable by any other means than souls found and spirits set for a trip across the galaxies as far as twice of half the length a piece of string will chase that continuum to no end. So back on to where I began and got side tracked by her again. Amongst all the time have had the privilege with mostly listening to some fine people of high respect, one small group of successful regular golfers in a successful golfers club, me the student mould of the head barman and his Members, Gentlemen indeed were some. I learnt when it was time to pour them a ginger beer and milk to line the ulcers some neglectful barman of the past did not. Then a few whiskies set up by the flow of the conversations, I learnt respect is not measured by wealth or degradation. It is shared of equality eye to eye boy man father and king, girl women Mother and Queen. Invitation to sit at the table in conversations I am still learning from, some were chore foundations that only when I could recite with a grasp for the meanings. First: and meant for the moment with keeping respect with the host and head of table, if and when challenged by snipe intended insult taking a shot to belittle to impress to win a place of dominance. "Unkind words and thoughtless snubs, are but the echoes of a small and frightened person" There is no reply, there is no disrespect at that table, there is no more poser for placement at that table and that is how it will happen, and it has and may again. Second is where the flow of life or syncronicity may win Peachy over. I was too remember this and it to be of a way of life "when I meet the woman that I am going too fall in love with, then keep her in the centre of my life always and remind myself too maintain that until it becomes habit of nature". So I remembered it, went about my ways and synchronicity in the happening, Tara let me kiss her and she today and twenty years later is the centre of my life and respected friend and habit of nature ingrained. If not for that time and place, ginger beer and milk never asked for and a few good men drunk on the spirit of good conversation, made it home to the centre of their lives in good regard for only drinking the whisky given to them by the barman that would not see them ask, once they forgot about asking, they forgot about what they were given, that's respectable, I reckon, they gave me synchronicity Sensual, maybe some happiness can be measured by, twice of half it's length, so you are probably right there.

Quoting 'Meeka100' There is no such thing as coincidence So, I'm not imagining you mean it's all part of God's plan or anything like that. . But do you remember how people answered the question of what school they went to, and close to 10 women out of a group of 60 men & women went to the same school. I've found my connections on RHP have been very much like that a lot of the time. Inexplicable but impossible to ignore.

When I was living in America in 1991 I travelled to New York for a ten day event at Madison Square Garden with the Dalai Lama and 4000 other people.Early one morning HHDL conducted a meditation session in the Sheep Meadow in Central Park.A friend of mine mentioned to me that there was a breakfast after at Loulie 'shouse. When it was time to go to breakfast I wasn't quite sure how to get there.I asked an acquaintance if he knew and he said sure ,come with me I am going there too.The house was a Brownstone apartment complete with a doorman,it was absolutely crowded with people and I couldn't see my friends anywhere. The hostess looked nothing like Loulie and she came over to me to ask who I was..I was munching on a delicious croissant at the time..She introduced herself and said her name was Loulou..not Loulie..I had gate crashed the wrong breakfast..she was very gracious about my faux pas and invited me to stay..it turned out that she was the sister of a well known actor..at the time,Harry Hamlin and was also a friend of Richard Gere's who sponsored the Madison Garden event...xx Freya

Guess I am not a believer, for every action there must be the equal and opposite reaction. This chain of events from the very beginning of time had to be perfect for us to exist. A single atom just a fraction of its size to the left and there would be no earth or our sun, no milky way, and maybe no life, joy, or love. Each and every one of us alive today count upon the great line of our ancestry that can be traced in unending succession of countless generations all the way back to the very first living thing here on earth. We are all made in the image of that first mother, we carry her genes, we touched her that day she first divided in her body. 3 billion years our mothers and our fathers go back, each step back were survivors. We are a line of survivors, we have lived on where all else has failed in the shadow of innumerable cataclysms , with such mundane regularity they scoured the earth almost bare. Only our family survived. Those horrors are now our strengths, their spirit and doggard will to survive, are gifts to their children, and on. They lived at the very edge of life while the vast tangle of life's branches, uncountable, withered, obliterated, their lines over, turned to dust. Yet we still breath we still live. Serendipitous, is there any other way? The mind can not come close to imagining the stupendous chain of luck that gave us life. How many unrelated events, a rain drop, a moat of dust, a single ray of light must we thank for our lives. Yet I believe in a deterministic universe. We in this very second, now, were set in stone at that very first moment in time, there can be no other way, each moment came for one before, all connected, all part of the one all. Yet does not detract from the luck. not our luck this day, not our mothers luck, not the luck of a warm sun, and cool waters blue waters. Our luck, our chance to be was when it begun, when with out cause we were set to be.

Thanks for not laughing at my weak attempts to explain some of those special moments people, I must say, the most meaningful part of my posts to me is the moment where I saw Dynamo perform his magic feat. It Was like magic. . Thank you too for your continuing posts. I'm realising as we go on here how much is behind this for me. That's always been one of the best things about RHP for me, were those indefinable, . Thank you gentlemen, Mado and Aries for your entertaining, and yet interesting banter, lol... and Aries, I love your comments on the reef knot, they 'tie' in beautifully. I love that topics are called threads even. Mado, I celebrated 27 years of having Mr P in my life as my partner last year... more than half of my life... my never ending wish every time a chance has risen to make one has been granted as I never asked to have more than what I have. ;-) And Mado, 40,000 would be a lot of sheep droppings?... . Oh! That's a good one Freya! It is a wonderful world isn't it. . The ultimate tapestry Blindman? Life. Yes. I do like to bend my brain around the wonder that we exist at all. . Simple_Desires ma'am, thank you. It is how excrutiatingly well timed things can turn out that I ask my question. . Hugs, Peachy

Depending on your perspective everything can be considered Synchronicity. If i had not done x y would not have occurred. We all make choices every second of everyday conscious or unconscious. Taking us through life as we know it. It all boils down to perspective, how we chose to interpret each choice/situation/event.
