  i haven't been to one myself as going alone anywhere can be awkward when most people are coupled .. people tend to look at you like you are a third wheel at times and on other occassions you just feel like a desperate .. solution .. take me next time ;-)

  Yes it can be a little like that sometimes. When you get to know people, you tend to catch up there , drink and party with them and sometimes lose track of the fact other people might be new to it all and feeling a little lost. Best thing to do is just talk to people, at the bar or outside, I know when we first went we were intimidated too.Smile, chat, and flirt, swingers clubs are the least likely place you will get harassed or constantly hit on, which sounds like an oxymoron .......we go to ci to catch up with friends, have a drink, and dance on a pole :) I also get to dress in sexy clothes without the hassle of being at a normal club. For us , swingers clubs are just fun naughty nightclubs, we hardly ever play there, more just go for a good night out. try it again, maybe go with someone you know, or plan to meet someone there :) I hope your next visit is more fun, they can be a really great night out!

  Yes - I've been to a few clubs with by friend and found the people didn't want to even make eye contact. A couple of places weren't really clean either. We have been twice to the Sybian parties run in St Leonards and they are very different and more like a party. Very clean and fun yet probably not as much swapping. The Sybian is great though and single women also go. They are far friendlier than others.Otherwise there's the normal Hellfire and we like that yet of course the 'fun' is limited.NVP

  We've never had that problem, but then again we always make sure some people are going that we know. Worst case, we hang with them. Best case, we end up getting swung around the club by some strangers...

  Hi I go on my own to swingers clubs.I know the people there are much nicer than going to bars.Im a single lady.I dont mine going on my own I have neet some nice people.I dont plan anything for the night I just go because I like to dress up and people dont judge you there.I talk to people have a dance sometimes a strip tease I dont always play there I found Im there for about two hours than go home.So give it a few goes and you might get to feel better about going..

  I've been to a few clubs around the Gold Coast / Brisbane area and some are worse than others. I've only been on my own once and I found people definitely get into their little groups and it is sometimes difficult to even strike up a conversation. So I generally try and go with a friend or friends, but then I end up one of those people in a little group...lol   Takemenow, don't give up, see if you can find some people to go with, if you don't ave any luck send me a message, I'll go with you :) They can be a lot of fun!!

  Have to comment on this one, The people in the lifestyle are so open and happy to chat to eachother, most of the time you will find that those that are "seen" to be in little groups actually only met on the night. My pet hate is the people that say there are cliquey groups at swingers clubs...you got to think about it this way, if you sit in a corner and dont talk to anyone your night will be horrible and lonely, if you mingle and chat you will have a ball.As with any club or nightclub or anywhere you go there will be people that know each other, and some people call them clicky groups, when in fact they are just friends chatting and good one them.SO mingle and chat and as one person said you will then look like you are part of that group of people chatting...lolHappy swinging..

  its amazing how friendly the people are , a hello is a great start, you wont meet everyone the first night but even meeting i cpl is a good start and its amazing how it snowballs from there. we are a shy cpl and have meet some fab cpls and singles at ci, who we have became great friends with, but you must give it more than just 1 chance,

  I was taken to a house party in Surry Hills a while ago, gullible all of 18.However, a dining area in the basement, with lots of old bags who approached me and struck up small talk, i thought how lovely.Progressed upstairs where a live band of hard funk rock was going off in the lounge room, gazed in amazement wondererd how the fuck that worked..|progressed to a bed room and saw three blokes laying on a bed watching hetro porn..."thought"okay i'm right lolMy collegue who introduced to the world of all new tagged behind me.I looked around and thought...hmmmAmoungst all the clatter of drums,the buzz of the basement,this was no ordinary house party lol.But wait"there's more...lolI didn't know it was a swing along party,never new why a bloke gave me his girlfriend to take home. lol.Shall this be revived?

  This is just a guess as I ahve very little clubing experience, previously only have been out with wife- and she was not keen on playing separately or with anyone else... But if you can find someone easy going that you cn have a good conversation with the whole scene entry should be less of a struggle! I'd like to find time/way/friend to go clubing with - although not likely here in Albury, closest big city is Melbourne, maybe during holidays sometime -any takers would like to go with me ;-)

  hi takemenow69,The club you are referring to we visit.Just joined as members and the 17th xmas party was the 3rd night we had been there.We felt a bit like that when we went the first time and since we are starting to get to know a few people but have found it hard to play with others.Hopefully the more we go and the more we get to know people then it will be easier to play. We love the easy nature of the 'club' and the hassle free friendly people. also the DJ is great and sexy dancing is not frowned upon LOLWe would be happy to escort you if you would like to go again.Cheers,Ben & MJ
