I left my gorgeous little dog behind in NYC when I immigrated here...boy that was tough...she was my gorgeous little baby and it was heart breaking to leave her behind (she was too old to come) especially as previously she had traveled the world with me..... I left her with my NY bestie....and she has since passed.. Due to my gypsy life..I havent owned another pet in ages........and I hate that. Im house sitting my good friends house at the mo...comes complete with Soda - a gorgeous chocolate brown lab, with the sweetest disposition ever - shes the most awesome dog and Im so enjoying her company My friend has taught her the best tricks. (shes still a bit of a pup) .she can high 5 you with her paw and my fav - if you point your fingers at her (like a gun) and say Bang..she falls over and plays dead...love it - dog choc treats as reward for this one trick... I love animals but I m a true dog person - I walk Soda twice a day down the beach and everyone comments on her..she such a handsome dog and smart as....!!!...so yes Jonstar if your reading this...shes fine...Im fine ..we all fine..house still intact...:) And I can back up TR claim to her dog..his got one mean bark..scares the shit out of me when I go around a visiting and he knows me !!!

Who I adore. Loving, loyal and cuddly. And I love watching them run across the front paddock when their 'berko' button in pressed! They make good vacuum cleaners too.

Hey Tuscan Red I hope Life's treating you well hun :) I've had both pets in my time my last pets a Cardigan welsh Corgi was 14yrs 6mths when she Passed .. My Cat Brogan was 15yrs .I had them both from very young.. I've missed having the company of Pets infact It got unbearable so I asked the Universe to find me a Pet made to Order .. I was seeking a Cat because No Pets allowed here others have them and Cats are Less Obvious So I figured why not I've wanted another for so Long .. Kobi I named him that came into My Life about 6mths ago a Friends Mum was Looking for a Home for her Daughters Cat ..He's the Best Cat I've ever had and was Made to order His Colour smokey Grey short haired cross Burmese Siames I think .Very regal, Intelligent ,Cheeky , Loving Communicative when he wants to be ..We have a very strong Connexction He is My Gift from the Universe as were My Last Pets 15yrs ago.... We Communicate via Telepathy at times I picture something I want him to do, rerpeat it over a day or 2 He does what I've asked him to this way .very quickly as opposed to using voice commands He looks into my Eyes to tell me things too I can pic up on it . No it's not a dirty great fish for Dinner he!he! It's not perfect as yet but the Telepathy is becoming stronger between us My Daughter said when I told her she said Um Mum don't tell People that they'll think you're crazy I just Laughed at her figured Ok if they want to I thought but actually they don't it's just who I am they seem to accept it . So The agents weren't aware I've a Cat ..When I had my last unit Inspection I put him in his carry basket and went to the beach for a couple of Hours .It was a Lovely day we both enjoyed it .He was calm didn't mind the dogs walking by with owners or the couple of seagulls being a Pain next to us..I just sat on the seat chatted to him ate My lunch he!he!.. We'll do it again Next time..Yes he had water too :) If I have the opportunity Yes I'll have a Dog too but this isn't the time or Place to keep one ..Cheers Lu :)

At the moment I have a Tenterfield Terrier . My mum passed away last year & he was her dog . Not exactly the sort of Dog I would have chosen but he's got a great personality . He's also an Epileptic so he has to have Barbiturates twice a day . I also have some Tropical Fish that my Ex left behind .- Posted from rhpmobile

1 female domestic shorthair who was 7 when she came to rule to roost...very spoilt and loves nothing more than flopping down on any flat surface and knocking things off with either her paws or tail, and is very fond or the random claw strike when I dare walk past her.. The other is a male desexed Persian that turned up at the doorstep underfed and unloved...he loves nothing more than sweeping the back yard with his feather duster like tail and picking up all the burrs or crossing the road to the river and cleaning up the bathurst burrs and sticky beaks...luckily for me he is very placid and loves to be combed... Very much a Cat person, in particular Black Cats...nothing like watching a black silhouette in the garden at dusk...

......I have an american bull mastiff x (Gauge) and a bull arab x great dane (Chevrolet) their both huge, Gauge speaks with his eyes and body, he knows he's adorable. Chevvy has the deepest voice for a girl and loves a good growl by way of chat in the morning. They both love the water and thier trampoline. Have a lacewing cockatiel called Harvey who is a bitch if you're not scratching him right. He thinks he's human. And a reg'd quarterhorse mare Madame Exquisite (Quizzy) who thinks she's a queen, likes trying to walk or swim on top of you, nothing sinking your shoulder into her can't fix. She was spoiled by previous owner, she is bloody funny though when taking her for a swim; if a horse could whoop woot hoo she'd be doing that. She used to be in my brothers yard and his German Shepherd and her bonded, he'd flea her she'd play with him. Needless to say Buddy was put on anti-depressents when we took her home. True story, animal bonding. Have chooks, budgies, turtles and countless fish. Kids mate, they want everything!!

I'm a cow person. I have been around them all of my life and even now I live in the city, I still cow-sit on a farm for my landlord when he and his wife go away. The 12 years I've been in WA are the only time in my life I have not owned cattle and I miss them very much. Before I came here, I had a Greyman/Murray Grey stud and I loved every single moment of what to me wasn't really work. After cattle though, I love dogs. I had a kelpie x cattle dog on my farm (as well as a pedigree whippet, a staffie and a cattle dog) who was so smart she was an extension of my brain and right hand. There was nothing we couldn't do with the cattle, and she also kept the chooks, turkeys and goats in line. She was a reflection of my moods and was never far from my side. I don't think I've ever had a stronger bond with a dog in my life and I miss her all the time.he's buried in the shade of the old mango tree where we used to sit in the afternoons and watch the cows with their new calves. Its green and cool there and a fitting place for a hard working friend. RIP Jessie girl.I'd love another dog, however with work, its totally impossible, so I have a cat. A self centred, furniture scratching, mouse-catching-then-letting-go-in-the-house, food demanding, hair dropping-on-my-white-doona-cover bloody cat. And to boot, she's an ugly tortiseshell who chose me when she was 5 weeks old and I never had a chance to get the pretty calico kitten I wanted. Pffftttt.I'd have a zoo if I could and have often eyed off the giraffes in the Perth zoo and wondered if I folded one up and stuck it in my pocket, whether anyone would notice me getting out the gates with it? Worth a try one day perhaps????Tuscan, you mention you had your dog neutered. Good on you for that, he will never have any prostate problems as he ages (lesson there for you blokes, but that's for another time). I have cat's testicles in my china cabinet... real ones... they belonged to a cat I had who didn't quite fit into my existing cat's world, so he is now ruling the home of another RHP lady. I find testicles to be a talking point at any time, but when I trot these ones out, conversation seems to cease for some reason. *shrugs* I thought everyone liked testicles?????

my old dog Haley is a cancer survivor, she is a bull terrier cross from the local animal shelter. She loves nothing better than to sleep at the front door which in this heat is open to the sea breezes we get here.Agentle soul but scary to strangers. Our housemate came with his two little dogs ,Porsche and Griffin who are very much a cute loved up couple. They play fight and groom each other all day when they aren't at the local doggy beach. Oprah and Fergie are our two beautiful chooks who spend their days roaming the garden. They are excellent weed killers and love to lay their eggs in the oddest places.

But haven't owned one since I was in my teens:(back then I had a blue heeled x kelpie named sasha and she was mad as fuck. Used to take her for walks twice a day before and after school, took her to obedience school and they told me to get a choker chain collar to teach her to heel when I was walking her but it never made any difference, the instant I took her out she would be dragging me along and even tho the choker chain would have her gasping for air if she tightened it by trying to run away she would still do it every time. She was amazingly gentle with me and I would go outside to read and she would lay there with her head in my lap for hours... Anyone else and she would be jumping all over them getting so overexcited. In the end my mum said she had to go, after she had pulled every single towel off the line and ripped them to shreds. We found a family who had a farm and gave her away, within a week she had been kicked in the head by one of their horses :( I was gutted. I'm quite allergic to both cats and birds so usually avoid them as much as possible. Friend of mine has a pet pig named Kevin bacon haha.

I love dogs but have a cat now. Sometimes you just get chosen and can’t do anything to avoid it I had a Dachshund and a Staffy both very unique in character and then a cat found me. So she stayed. 12 years ago she was a kitten and was sitting one day on my car wheel outside where I worked. I felt sorry so I took her home and both dogs loved her from the first moment she arrived at our home. My dachshund found that snakes not agree with his health and past away in a bad way, my Staffy and cat moved with me twice and then my old Staffy died of a tumour and Tigerly the CAT is still with me. I can’t say I am a cat woman, no. However she is adorable bring mice as presents and purrs when I stroke her, and in this moment of time is the ideal pet for me. Yes she found me and stayed what a cheeky cat.

We have two pure bred Bull Terriers, four cats, two miniature horses, one full size horse, two alpacas, one python, several finches, ducks and a yard full of chickens. There are the unfortunate ones that didn't make it in a large communal plot down the back. Resting in peace are two horses (old age), one pony (colic), one puppy (brown snake bite), one cat (mauled by dog), two goats (unknown illness), ducks, geese, peacocks, rabbits and more chooks. I often wonder whether I'll end up in that hollow.

Two dogs and twelve birds. My dogs Jack and Edie are two mutts from Doggierescue that I got 8 and 7 years ago. The gorgeous mutts are now 9 and 8 and they're both next to me as I'm typing this. I also have cockatiels, lovebirds and a budgie. Some bought, most of them adopted. The first pet I got in Australia is a cinnamon cockatiel with bright orange cheeks. His name is Yindi, and Aboriginal word for "Sun". Can you tell I'm a proud mum?

I have a gorgeous German Shepherd x Labrador that you can't help falling in love with! I have a Jack Russell who is getting on in years and has just recently become blind in one eye! There has been a gorgeous white feral cat hanging around the front yard for a few months and she disappeared for a while (I thought she died) but she came back with a huge sore on her side and was very thin. I started to feed her nightly with cat food...her other 2 kittens come out to eat as well! She is so cute and actually walks up to my door when she knows it's feeding time and now eats out of the dish as I am holding it (took a couple of weeks but she got there) .. her babies still run from me though! She is looking all healthy now and her sore is gone and fur has grown back! BUT having said that...I am a dog person through and through! xFunlovingx

2 cats and a gorgeous new sharpei x puppy who is not too bright, keeps trying to make friends with the cats by barking in their faces, it's not working out too well...And my gorgeous human pet, he's a HellHound, much easier to train and the cats like him much better than the bio-puppy :)

I love both dogs and cats but do have a preference for dogs. Bigger dogs though, I"m not really into the little ones. I have a gorgeous staffy / boxer / who knows what else cross that I got from the RSPCA 8 years ago and he is my baby. Wish I could have more dogs but not in the right situation at the moment.

Choke chains are not effective for dogs because when they pull against them they actually get a rush of endorphins from it, so it just makes them pull harder. Something interesting I learnt in my short time studying vet science. Haltis are much more effective because they don't have the same strength to pull with their head as they do when something is around their neck.Quoting 'Hotdiggettydamn' But haven't owned one since I was in my teens:(back then I had a blue heeled x kelpie named sasha and she was mad as fuck. Have always had animals of some sort over time, a cow , sheep, 2goats,chocks, pigs, ducks, cats, dogs, and. A pet Koala.... Up to 3 monts ago. Had both one dog .... lovable boorder collie and 2 cats. The dog we retrived from deaths door, as a 4minth old pup who had been tied inside black plastic garbage bags, and left to die. We had him for 14 yrs and unfortunately had to hav him put down in October 2012, due to cancer. The kats were also rescue kittens and are still with us 14 yrs on .... not replacing any of them when they go .... its kids turn to hav animals now when they get their own places. I do so miss my dog tho ...- Posted from rhpmobile

We had a rescued greyhound and a very expensive German Shepherd until a year ago when we lost the greyhound to cancer and the Shepherd to old age. I vowed i would not have another pet of any kind and i hate cats, well hated cats, my Daughter brought a kitten home and told everyone i wouldn't even know it was in the house. I think the second night it was there it was asleep on my chest in my bed, so now i have a cat that adopted me and it sleeps beside me every night. I can't go anywhere without the bloody cat now, damn thing climbs onto my shoulders and will sit there all day if i let it.

I have two devon rex cats. If anyone is familiar with the breed you'll know they're a little bit more than cat. Kind of cat-monkey-dog creatures. They're very sweet when they're asleep though. Can't have a dog living in a unit unfortunately. I think dogs need yards to run around in.When I (literally) buy the farm, I'll have dogs. And cats. And chooks. And a cow. And sheep.@jessmc - ahh I feel for you. My friend lost her cat just yesterday fighting off a snake.

One cat called Pesci that came with the house we are renting. He was dumped here by the previous owners when he was just a kitten. One dog called Finn. He is a beagle cross with a jack russell and was a rescue dog from K9. And one fish called Johnny in our fish pond. He is the fattest fish I have ever seen! We love them all! Pusscat xxx

We have two nutty Jack Russell's. The first I married into and I have to live with that, he is 14 human years old and very old, black on white. The second is a young bitch brown on white, some how the family talked me into another dog. She has a better personality than the first, but is very jealous of affection. Likes: They are great little hunters, catch rats, mice & cockroaches and chase cats. They are good fun and loving. Dislikes: The old one sometimes cocks his leg in the house and barks at everyone coming in the door, probably because he is nearly blind. The bitch will run away at any chance the door is open and just bolts and gets lost. Might have to microchip her.

Both but prefer dogs. Have a neurotic cat that seriously I kind of feel a fraud saying she's a cat..(have NO idea what she thinks she is...) we are in process of getting a new Rottie puppie-gorgeous animals, will be our second as a family and for Mr Sat his fourth as he had them growing up.On an aside funny note, my brother went to look at a puppy that on the web ticked all the boxes for them, 8 months old cute staffy x blah blah blah..I texted him this morning asking how did he go and this was his reply..." Puppy trained by Charles Manson, not suitable for children unless they are on the menu- nearly lost son1 son 2 soiled himself and wife walked in and right back out..still searching..."

Oh dear, but love pussy. LOL Much more a cat person. Love all animals but cats have a sense of confidant arrogance backed by a lethal ability. Would love to own a big cat. Love dogs, enjoy their boundless energy but the sycophantic nature of them is a little not my style. I have met people that hate cats so much they go out of their way to harm them. I was mortified to hear from a, used to be friend, how proud she was of the fact that her two bull terriers had killed all her neighbours cats. OMG some people are ugly.

Totally a dog person but with travelling often it's not fair on any high-maintenance pet. I used to own three Siamese Fighting Fish that were totally awesome - two male and one fem. They usually have a lifespan of one year but they lived for three. Also have the neighbour's cat who comes over and spends most of the days and nights over at our place - a black and white long-hair who's wildly affectionate and has no tail due to the neighbours accidentally driving over it when it was a kitten.

I lost my doggie to a stomach tumour last march. It all happened within a matter of an hour....the hardest decision I had to make in my life was to reject surgery and allow her to go with dignity and in peace She now rests at my old home with a garden solar powered light as her tomestone and guiding light. I will never have another pet again.- Posted from rhpmobile

A golden retriever x labradore - candy A cattle dog x retriever - patch A neighbours rabbit who decided we would be better owners and came to live with us named shadow Greyhounds - Sally, Red, Patch and Pandora (we sold the other 50 or so over the years we were breeding them) A cat - Tootsie (when we got it we thought it was a girl as boy bits weren't showing - went to vet to be desexed - came back a boy - aka Dustin Hoffman) A cattledog x kelpie - buffy A boxer x kelpie - shady-bear Fighter fish - Kablouie, Samson, Dalilah and chillipepper An oscar - named elmo and another fish that was rescued from a watertanker truk at hubbies work - named lucky I grew up in the bush so we also rescued wild animals that were injured once vet treated were kept at our place if we had room...there was a tawny frog mouth owl, that even after a full recovery would come back to our place every couple of days and sleep in the eaves of our verandah. So it's safe to say i'm a dog person, but i am never against owning cats or fish either. Will never own another rabbit, he was too much work.

I had 2 of these remarkable mates once and often wish they were still part of my life, but due to my career path there was no way l could give them the love and attention they so rightly deserve. Sadly, l had to give them away to someone l knew could give them a good home..

I have a gorgeous Border Collie, two years old and rescued from the lost dogs home. And a beautiful cat, she's 19 years old and pretty frail but hanging in there and enjoys life. Love them both dearly. Our chooks went to heaven when the neighbours beagle dug under the fence and got in recently. Sad! The dog is a good wingman, always sniffing stranger's crotches. Apologizing is a great conversation starter. Btw, dog peeps, who loves Wilfred? Sooo funny! Sooo wrong!

Have been a bit scared to post on the forums before now..so here goes! LolNot really an either/or person, I've had dogs and I've had cats and they are both great in their own way. Used to have horses but lack of time to spend riding and the money I was forking out for agistment and feed put an end to that. Miss them a lot and hope to have a horse again one day.At the moment just have a dog, a golden retriever who I've had for nearly 5 years. He's wonderful, was the last of the litter so I didn't get to choose, but I'm glad I ended up with him.I'm fortunate to live in a town where I can take him pretty much everywhere, so he comes up the street with me to run errands and happily waits tied up outside. Secretly I think he likes making new friends down the street ;)Apart from all the hair he sheds I love him to bits and couldn't ask for a better family dog. He cheers me up whenever I need it, whether it's by doing something silly and making me laugh, or just being there for a cuddle and to soak up the tears. He loves swimming, or rather, flopping into the water like a hairy hippo (do not be in his vicinity when he comes out..it's either a mad run around in circles or massive shake, either way you'll get soaked!), so love to take him for walks along the river. He's more than just a dog, he's family :)

Yawn dull.. ThusTo those that live in the urban sprawl and in the little quarter of a half blocks. What is the point of dogs. The poor things are such social animals. Most are insane with boredom, they bark endlessly and if not are a necrotic mess. Owned by people that need to buy love not earn love.We could do with out them. The endless streets of unhappy dogs, pacing, in a state of almost constant desperate loss. If you own a dog you better have space, not work, kids, and adventurous. There should be a law to stop the selfish humans from creating a mass of loneliness, frustrated animals.Cats rule. If you don't like them then you better love the mice and rats.Dog lovers are selfish...

The fish are biting. JSK6767 you attack but why not stay on subject and defend your stance rather then blurt. I can hear some poor frustrated dog right now. See this comes from love (love animals of any type, it the owners I am not keen ion), and I hate the miserable lives so many urban dogs have with owners giving attention between work, TV, and whatever. So love your dog ten minuets a day, is that not something that should be 24 hours. Poor little dogs, Im somewhat sad now.

I have a large dog on a smal block, but we go to the beach every day twice a day winter and summer, when I worked I ws up at five and then home again at six on the beach I took my dog to training every sunday morning for three hours In NYC they have dog walkers and those dogs are so well looked after and you see them in the park having a ball in europe people take their dogs even to eat and on public transport even in the city in an appartment dogs adapt if you take the time to look after their needs its the people that are the problem people that do not vet check or steralise nor train nor exercise their dogs and my pet hate lazy fuckers who do not pick up their dogs poop, I have been known to chase people up the beach and hand them a bag and say go back and pick up your dog shit! they do, a bit sheepish but they do, as I say it in this way hi sorry you must have missed your dog doing a dump on the beach and you have no bag, here have one of mine and I smile and hand it over

is you having a boring ,snoring day possum?Always fun to go fishin' me thinks. My dog and her two friends have great lives, always at the beach...yes TR we pick up the poo... Locally there are now a couple of doggy day cares,20 bucks a day and dogs get to socialize and go for 2 walks in the 8 hours they are there. No big city here just a sleepy village surrounded by parks ,some for doggies, canine that is,and beaches too. I think the council should rename it HAPPY POOCHVILLE...welcome doggies.

Quoting 'Blindman67'Yawn dull.. Thus To those that live in the urban sprawl and in the little quarter of a half blocks. What is the point of dogs. The poor things are such social animals. Most are insane with boredom, they bark endlessly and if not are a necrotic mess. Owned by people that need to buy love not earn love. We could do with out them. The endless streets of unhappy dogs, pacing, in a state of almost constant desperate loss. If you own a dog you better have space, not work, kids, and adventurous. There should be a law to stop the selfish humans from creating a mass of loneliness, frustrated animals. Cats rule. If you don't like them then you better love the mice and rats. Dog lovers are selfish... Less dogs, more babies right?

Quoting 'Ms_Devious'Less dogs, more babies right? Yes that's the way. But then puppies do win out on the cute factor at times. To the others that look after there dogs, good to hear that you love your dogs. I like to have 2 at the same time and hopefully related so that they have company. I had a large block and keep them as out doors, well semi outdoors, they had a nice cool room that was there at the ground floor and I built a fence to keep them from getting into mischief, built a little doggy pool and at least a new toy for each every week, Jake Russels can lose control at times. Always walked them and took them on any adventures I would go on. Miss the little fuckers. In the evening when the bantams went to roost they both would go wild with excitement, the younger on would shake with the excitement. Pussy cat would taunt them They where happy, healthy, and well loved. All sentimental now.How does one stop the people that lock in lonely dogs for days at a time. It should be a crime. Was too far from the beach to take them there often. But I have been to the dog beach just south of Scarborough. OMG it was a gross mess, even with the council doggy poop bags on site and bins the dunes and lovely white sand was a mind field of doggy do surprises. Freya13 Doggy day care is a very good idea, dogs need to learn to socialise, also obedience training is a must for all dogs I think.tuscanredNice one on the poop patrol.. A little daring but sure you can handle it well. LOL (sorry the people not the shit)Like I have said before people that frequent forums are a step above the norm.

Quoting 'MrsPeachyPear' Lololol Blindman, I thought this thread was about Cats and Dogs... You know fishermen are usually called trolls around here though someone has suggested the term might have cme from trawl. hugs... Mrs P PS Tuscan: I will be back to post further, good thread. :-D Wow well spotted but then the vetting process here at RHP would not allow that through. Place trolls, trawlers in the same boat. Never to attack a person just a concept. That's how I float on this sea. Not like have have not been posting on forums for 15 years. Rules are rules. And I am a naughty MF.. What fun this would be if we all where of like minds..

Quoting 'jsk6767' Did you not see the silly smilely face that i included in my post indicating that what was said was tongue in cheek, however da thumbs down one i stick by.Dogs are as much part of this world as cats are,i see more cats endlessly roaming da streets than i do dogs, surely this must mean that they too are lacking 24/7 love and attention, which btw alot of children are seriously lacking, how can anyone give there pet 24/7 love and attention its just not possible so should we then ban all pets from our houses because of this fact, you know the answer to this question don't you.Your quite obvisouly a cat person which is fine but hey don't stand there and tell us dog people were wrong to own, love and cherish our muts because a few don't love them 24/7 which like i said is impossible anyway jsk Not just a few, many so called dog lovers leave there dogs at the mercy of loneliness. Cats are perfectly happy to roam, to be alone. They survive very well as loners. Would never keep one locked up. God oh mighty the nightmare of rats and mice and dozens of introduce vermin that would plague our cities if cats where not about. I have made clear I love all animals but the one that gets me is the suffering of lonely social animals begging for any attention. Love your dog is all I say.BTW cats have been in Australia for at least 200 years before white men. Every ship in that time from Europe carried cats to keep down vermin (love rats as well). Cat was and is on the menu for many aboriginal people in this land, WA much more so. (not my thing but I have to deal with being a meat lover and death) I just hate the suffering of way to many dogs. We dont let them roam the streets as they gang up and kill people.

When I open the front loader he starts to yowl, and runs outside and grabs some toy and starts to yowl and push it around, no idea why the washer sets him off The answering machine, he howls like a baby when he hears my voice. Even when I am sitting in the same room as him. He runs up and down the beach at a hundred miles an hour on my hand signals, sometimes people sit and watch him He never ever rolls on his back for anyone, and will only do it a little bit if he is up on the bed having a snooze with me and that is not very often, I have a thing about dogs on furniture. He has bailed up a guy in the park who was coming up behind me, it was dark and this guy had no dog and just about to reach for me when the hound of the Bastille came out of the dark and flew at him. guy ran for his life but dog just stayed in front of me on guard and snarling. good doggie I also had a horse Harmony, one day I was patting him and soothing him and he fell asleep and then fell over was so funny

Quoting 'tuscanred' When I open the front loader he starts to yowl, and runs outside and grabs some toy and starts to yowl and push it around, no idea why the washer sets him off My dog Jack is not great with loud noises on a good day, but this weird: When my microwave is finished and beeps three times, Jack does not react. But if it gives a reminder beep 60 seconds later, he gets really scared. This started about a year ago, when he was eight. I cannot figure it out.

Sasha was her name,a pure bred rottweiler, this may seem a little wierd but out of all the people who have come and gone in my life she was my bestest friend ever, never ever will i forget her,i loved that gorgeous little girl with every inch of my heart,am sitting here crying like a baby already, just to think about her or talk about her and i have tears streaming down my face, once SHE let you in to HER life people would fall instantly in love with her.She was the smallest rottweiler i have ever seen, having said that she certainly was not a small puppy dog, when i say small she was not very tall but man she had the thickest set of shoulders and chest on her,i did not see another dog including staffies and pitbulls who matched her size in these departments, and talk about obedient, all i had to do was give her a certain look and she knew what it was that i wanted. This is what a tough, tough little fighter she was,i don;t mean fighter as in fighting other dogs i'm talking about the courage, determination, heroism and out and out toughness of her soul, when she was diagnoised with cancer she underwent a major three hour operation to remove the cancer from her,i can't recall at the moment the exact organ that was effected, but when they did the xrays on her they didn't pick up that it had spread to one of her kidneys so when they removed part of her affected organ they also had to remove most of one kidney,it was only then they realized that she also had a disease in the kidneys, she some how survived the surgery and for the next ten days fought tooth and nail to survive, all the while being cared for at the hospital, however her remaining kidneys just could not hold out and she left me all by myself, sorry people need a break right about now.Back again,i just needed a little break to compose myself sorry folks, where was i,she died peacefully one night while she slept i was there by her side as i had taken the ten days off from work and set up camp in a tent down the back of the hospital grounds, just before she went away she opened her gorgeous big brown eyes and looked into mine, licked my out stretched hand and said goodbye,it was and will forever be the saddest moment in my entire life.I took her home for one last time, layed her down on the floor on her favourite mat, layed my yoga mat beside her and craddled her in my arms till the sun came up.I had her cremated and have her ashes and other belongings spread out on her favourite lounge as a shrine and rememberance to my little girl sasha, you will forever be in my heart and mind my darling little girl, maybe one day i will own another rottweiler but even after 5 or 7 years the pain and sadness over my loss still haunts me,but i know one day we will be reunited again and once more we will run amok together in the fields of gold,in loveing memory of my little girl sasha, miss you girl with all my heart, from jamie xoxo.

I'm purely a dog person - preferred breed is English bull terriers I have 3 pedigrees, I'm into most animals though as I also keep reptiles and In the past have bred fish, birds & even spiders. I'd definitely fall into the category of "an animal lover" all great and small
