Cracking knuckles, doing my stretches ready for this post. Weeeeeell I love accents. Hard to choose a favorite but I love Greek, Macedanian (have I spelt that right?), Italian, anywhere in the middle East, I do love the Arabs mmm, German even, wasn't sure about that one until I met a very hot German. So these reflect my strong preferences. There are a couple I can't stand but everyone has different taste, thank god for that, and if my Aussie heritage or accent was a problem to someone, I'd be fine with that, horses for courses. But there's nothing like a sexy accent and broken English to get the juices flowing mmm yum - Posted from rhpmobile

It's hard to say that you like British accents as they're all so different. A Scouser sounds completely different to a Geordie who sounds completely different to someone from the West Country etc and that's just within England. The Welsh, Scots and Irish are a whole other ball game. My accent is somewhat diluted having lived here for 15 years now. I'm kind of in a no man's land - Aussies think I sound English and the English think I sound Australian! Personally I like a nice Southern Irish accent and the Aussie one can be pretty sexy on the right woman ;)

in Australia a few years ago, we have accents of which we are very conscious, but which we doubt we will lose. The kids however have quickly adapted and now talk with Aussie accents :) Yes we do enjoy people with accents different to ours / different to what we are used to. - Posted from rhpmobile

as there's a few South African men, Islanders from various parts and there's this red haired Irishman who is sometimes transferred over to work on the line I clean. Some of the permanent Indian staff have a seductive tone of voice/accent too.LOL, and harvest starts in January so there will be backpackers employed as temps from all over the world!!

I've been told that I have a very distinctive Californian accent. But much of my family is in the South and when I talk to them on the phone, I slip into a Southern drawl (my friends used to make fun of me about it) - don't know that I could do it on cue, though. But, LD and Patchwork, maybe I have the accent you're looking for? ;) Though in full disclosure, my Tennessee/South Carolina Southern accent is pretty different from McConaughey's Louisiana lilt. Personally, I'm a big fan of a woman speaking with a Central/South American accent. I think it's interesting how accents mix, too - hearing an Aussie accent tinged with an Italian accent or Aussie with a Canadian accent. For some reason, though, I have a really hard time with an Irish accent on a woman - I went to visit some friends in Boston and remember hearing a woman with a Boston Irish accent and my head could just not reconcile such a harsh combination of accents coming from such a pretty, petite face.

Many accents are wonderful but it comes down to tonal qualities each time. I loved the Russian accent when over there and speaking it felt great. I do wonder though if at times that accent sounded so good because the women there were just so stunning and generally immaculately dressed (not that being well dressed means that much to me) A bit like the comments made about liking the accents of particular people, not one is quasimodo

An English accent as well as Irish and Scottish. Last month I had the pleasure of meeting the drivers of the Monster Jam trucks while they were on tour and the Texas drawl was quite captivating. A bit of Kiwi accent is quite nice too.

With lots of you ladies liking Irish and Kiwi, I'm half a chance..lol .. My mother has a Maori background and my father Irish .. I have a Aussie accent .? A few years back I was at Memphis airport in the US and got chatting with one of the ground hostess's .. I could see she was quite interested in what I was saying but then she paused ,shook her head ' excused herself saying she was listening to my accent it's so nice. Later she told me she was Filipino ... That was nice too...

Quoting 'Boxguy' I love how it asks what accents you like and the random male ads start half way in with what they speak... - Posted from rhpmobile While I haven't been posting as frequently here lately, Boxy, I think I've had more presence here than you do - I don't know many others here that would refer to me as 'random'. That said, typically the 'Calling all...' posts have historically been a way for men or women to express their interest in a particular gender or characteristic AND a place for those that fit those characteristics to respond and make themselves known. (Do an advanced search for 'Calling all' and you'll see what I mean - 'Calling all Men', 'Calling all Women', 'Calling all Hippies, Mods, & Rockers', etc....)

Quoting 'lovman8' is affected by what a women is wearing, and her body shape. Could someone explain why this is so??? German barmaids holding pints of beer appear attractive to me , as do Gold Coast meter maids, and Baywatch type surf life savers (you never know when you may get in trouble in the surf ;-). Female Russian weight lifters or athletes though don't seem to do much for me, go figure (perception though possibly also affects a persons tastes)

I was born here to English parents, and spent a decent amount of my formative years in relative isolation with them, so I have a fairly general (I'm told "cultured") English accent, and a bit of a deep voice, especially when I'm talking close and in your ear. It seems to add something for some people.

I am a big fan. Generally I like the ones that aren't too masculine, hence I am not a fan of Sottish or similar accents. A few of my chick friends love men with Scottish accents though, which totally makes sense. I do love Italian, Spanish/Portuguese/South American, Eastern European and West Coast American accents, but my favourites are French and Swedish / Scandinavian. The Swedes have this cute way of coming up with abstract, clever ways to describe what they are talking about when they don't know the word. It's addictive.

French accent for me is leaps and bounds ahead of the rest, no matter how dry the topic the French accent is just incredibly feminine and sexy.I also like Irish, Scottish and Welsh, South American and African (not South)There are a couple of accents that I find really abrasive and a couple more that raise bad memories so we won't go there.
