I also read that article too. I think it is such ashame that this happens in cyber land. Im sure these bullies think they have a valid reason, but nothing makes it right to stalk, abuse, or judge others. Perhaps in their life they were abused, or perhaps they just enjoy belittling others to make themselves feel good.It should not matter if you were born with a silver spoon in your mouth or a plastic one, we are all equal in cyber land. I am aware it is an offence to bully in cyberland, and whether you like the person or not......... get over it and move on.. Now wheres Judge Judy????

It amazes me constantly that people think they can get away with things in cyberspace that they would never try in real life.  Bullies in the playground or workplace exist all the time.  Bullies also have a posse following them around.  The challenge though is that in cyberspace it's so very easy for a bully to have a persona that is different to the real world. The added challenge in cyberspace is that most communication is written and not spoken.  Therefore it relies a lot on the literary skills of the person to clearly describe what they mean and a missed :-) here or there can make someones writings mean a totally different thing vs if it was said in person where you can hear and see things like their facial expression and tone of voice.   Long and short of it is that if you would not stand for it in the real world, then don't stand for it here.  At least thats my two bytes worth :-)   Wayne

I get bored just reading the titles of those articles - how surprisng, where there are people there are other people who bully some people.  You'd think that with the pervasiveness of the internet we'd be past getting amazed that there is, wait for it, 'communication' via the internet - and some of that communication isn't nice.It just feels like "quick we've got a few inches of page to fill -  go find that 'bullying on the internet' piece we did a while back and change some of the words".(apologies for my rant-ishness today, I'm feeling a bit out of sorts)

Hehehe, heard a story just the other night about a local school bully, he has been playing the local bully, gangsta crap and a little guy looked at him the wrong way or something.  So anyhow, the bully says there is to be a fight that night, both he and the little guy turn up, the crowd gathers and slowly but surely the pushes happen and the fight commences.  Turns out the bully was all piss & wind and the little guy beat the shit out of him as he was throwing hay makers........rofl   Cheers Lets
