Now summer is getting closer thought we’d post this again. Anyone with a boat on Sydney harbour who’d like to host us and a few guys (your friends or we can arrange) for the day?

Why don't you just hire a boat and put up an event, rather than expect others do the work for you?
To be fair, that way, your wife gets to choose who she exactly wants and on what vessel.
