From Shangri La to Ovolo to Intercon, none have balconies. Quite rare in Sydney... windows? Many are tinted. From the street? Many are too high. Balconies... Park Hyatt does, but the price is quite steep.Adina, King St Wharf has balconies... with plenty of bar go'ers passing by, you could put on quite a show / plan it in advance - reasonable price too. Have fun!

Fantasy versus Reality Whilst the idea may sound like fun ( we have seen it in the movies ) in reality if it emerges that you have deliberately had sex, in full view of the public ( including children ) , you might face a fine or prosecution. We have been lucky enough ( as “peeping Toms”) to secretly watch, through a window, some couples getting it on . Yes it was highly exciting & erotic. But if we could see it, then possibly children could too, and that’s where it crosses the line we think . There was a report a few days ago, of the arrest of a man, who was watching porn movies on his iPhone, whilst on the train. In essence he was breaking the law as he was publishing porn to unsuspecting commuters, several of whom were children

Okey doke It is not illegal / unlawful to watch adult porn in Australia, if one is an adult . It is hower unlawful to allow children to watch it or to expose innocent bystanders to it. It is also unlawful to have sex, in such a location that unsuspecting members of the public can inadvertently see it, especially children. What the OP is talking about here, is not so much about watching, but rather them putting on a “show” for all and sundry to watch. In essence they are broadcasting porn. So where does one draw the line ? Sex in the public toilets ? Sex in the library ? Sex in the fruit & veggie section of the local supermarket ? The male who was arrested on the train, for watching porn. Do you think his arrest was warranted ? If so why ? And if not why not ?

What crosses the line Is to engage in sex, in such a manner / location that children may inadvertently witness it. That’s when it becomes unlawful. Look at what often happens on nude beaches. These beaches are for all to enjoy. Families with children included. But you get people who break the law. They do get fined, arrested & removed from the beach (yes sex in public is unlawful ) and often the end result ( if there are enough complaints / infringements ) is for the beach to lose its clothing optional status. Yes it’s fun to watch. Most of us are probably voyeurs. Are we breaking the law by watching ? Not sure about that, as it will depend on the circumstances & location. But do we want to bump into people shagging on every corner ? No

That if you have watched people have sex (in a ''peeping tom'' fashion? Like skulking around in bushes?) that you are in fact condoning it. And yet here you stand, berating those that provide what you have gained pleasure from. Do as you say but not as you do? Like telling people that drugs are bad and they shouldn't do them whilst admitting they dig getting a bit toasted every now and then. Yes, ''dogging'' is illegal - but it goes on, some people dig putting on a show. Brow-beating them with the law (whilst saying that you enjoy the fruits of their labors) will not stop them one jot.

Okey doke We have never skulked around in the bushes watching. Nor do we go looking for places to watch. Ours were purely confidential - a view from a hotel room window, an open room in a swingers club. But riddle us this . If someone complained to the police, about someone having sex in full view of the public, do you think the police would intervene, issue a fine & infringement notice ? What about flashing on the train ? It’s the same is it not ? Perhaps things are different in Darwin ?

DC you keep riffing on the legalities and whether or not I would object to someone looking at porn on a train or whatever. I have yet to get your point. Yes I would object to someone jacking off on a train - there I've said it, for gods' sake. I figured you were talking about seeing someone from a hotel window, I have seen the same. My point still remains that you have enjoyed such sights, as have probably a lot of people including myself, and yet you scold those for giving you that pleasure. I think I just popped an aneurysm.

Okey doke The OP is wanting to put on a sex show, in a window position that can be seen from the street below. They want the public to be able to see them getting it on. That is totally illegal and unacceptable. Ask yourself why ? Would you want your young kids ( assuming you have kids ) seeing that ? It’s like the bloody flasher in the park mentality.

Definitely not for kids. We're not planning on putting on a show for all and sundry - just for those that know where to look. We're thinking late night... after drinks. CBD hotel at midnight - curtains open. Not street corner during the day. Sheesh.

BillyDee You stated “ We're not planning on putting on a show for all and sundry - just for those that know where to look”. So enlighten us. How to you plan to differentiate and pick / choose your audience? Your whole point is to have a window visible from street level, so that anyone & everyone will have a view of your show. You better have deep pockets, for the fine and criminal conviction that you may very well receive. After all you are setting out to do this and won’t be able to use an excuse that it was done on the spur of the moment, and that in a moment of passion you forgot to close the curtains. Rather go to a swingers club and put on a show in one of the open rooms.

We take note that you have young kids ? Now, how would you feel, if you were walking along the street with them, and came across someone masturbating or having sex ? Or if you were at the beach with them, or on the train with them ....... Sexual acts within view of the public are unlawful for that very reason. Enough said. Be aware of others please.

Public intoxication is illegal, and we all gotta get home from the bar via "the public", eh? Enjoy your voyeuristic sex. Be quick. Be passionate. Have fun.

Sex in public? Go for it lol. It doesn't happen very often and I'm sure in this day and age the police have much better things to do with their time than busting a couple doing the dirty in public. I'm not saying try it in the middle of a shopping centre or anything, quiet park, carpark, secluded beach or quiet movie theatre who cares it is an experience you won't forget. I have to say though DC have quite a knack for draining the fun out of most things
