I remember that wall paper you mentioned, I have seen it in an old 70's style mens hairdressers shop I went to as a kid. Wow, what a blast from the past. I think it is cool. It would be great if you could still buy it somewhere, sort of retro style decor. Mrs P had an ex BF with mirrors on the ceiling of the bedroom. How would that be for a home open? In our bedroom we have three (medium size) very artistic black & white photo nudes framed of Mrs P when she was 17 years old, not sure if that is considered 'sexing up' the bedroom. Mr P loves it.

My bedroom is used for two purposes only......Sex and Sleep, both being sensual experiences, my bedroom reflects that. I'm tactile so i love different textures, and the feel of fabrics against my skin. I just love how it feels to sink into my very comfortable bed at the end of a long hard day. I have 1000 thread count sheets, that i just love the feeling of sliding between - especially when i'm all freshly waxed. Black quilt cover with velvet trim 2 x black satin european cushions 2 x black pillow cases with velvet trim 2 x 1000 thread count pillows slips over down pillows (for actually sleeping on) a red velvet cushion a black satin cushion 2 x black velvet cusions a black cushion covered in diamantes red bedside lamps with hanging crystals red and black oil paintings Ofcourse all the extra pillows and cushions end up on the floor........when i'm in a hurry on the top of my bedside tables i have an ipod dock - so i can have music in my bedroom a dish for my jewellery candles perfume bottle the latest book im reading a beautiful notebook and pen...for the ideas that i need to get out of my head at 3am. a photo of my gorgeous kids the contents of those drawers.......well that's discussed in another forum.....

....once upon a time so had a timber bed base and a mattress. Hung it from the ceiling by chains and after a couple of encounters ended up extending the chains to secure the base at a central point on the floor.....haha the looks on some faces, followed by appreciative WOW's. Well, do what you can on a budget I guess.

wooden paneled walls...a polished honey color...polished wooden floor with a gorgeous wildly-colored silk persian rug, when i get up in the morning it is the first thing that my feet slide onto...mmmmm...such a luxurious feel...four poster king sized bed, with silk sheets...i just love that cool feel as you slide into bed...and in the corner of my room, I have a small and innocuous cd player, i love listening to a cd of the sounds of the forest...so peaceful and calming when I am meditating...Ricky

My own bedroom is rather boring, an eclectic collection of mismatched antiques with a sun room off the back that doubles as my work-from-home office at times. The guest room (referenced in another thread) is a different story, a bit of a 'metro goth' look. The bed frame is a heavy timber cube shape that I had designed and built as it's not something you'd find at any store that I know of anyway. There's a feature wall that I skip-troweled after adding in some organic native fibers to the plaster and always painted in subtle earth tones. Large ensuite spa bath and a few amenities along with a matching heavy timber window seat with a big brass padlock on it where I keep a few things to share with those special guests. Candles of course on the heavy timber night stands, recessed mood lighting and a small sound system too. I have linen and bed sets to match or change the mood and yes, it stays locked as some things are easier not to have to explain. lol...KarynB, you sound like you could be a bit of an Elvis fan? Please don't tell us that you've got a couple of velvet paintings on the walls too?

I'm moving into a new place, where the master bedroom has a wall-to-wall, floor-to-ceiling wardrobe. Fully mirrored. I cannot wait!

LOL.....well i'm not, but perhaps some of my fathers taste has rubbed off on me.......i will say that my bedroom is in complete contrast to the classy appearance of the rest of my abode!.....I do like texture and cushions, throws accessories etc all appeal to my tactile side. ...but lay off of my blue suede shoes. Almost anything and if it's not in your bedroom or the Sin Bin, I think we better take it for a miss. If you can gyrate your hips anything at all like Elvis, maybe you should call your place 'Graceland', baby!
