Are you fit enough to root?

March 01 2012

Ben Roberts-Smith is inspirational. Awarded the Victorian Cross, he is a living legend, a truly courageous man and I wish I was at least half the man he is.... and soft spongy television personalities... I mean, let's face it... which is going to be the better performer? My money is on Ben. I mean, he's super fit! Have you seen how fit that guy looks? That's some seriously fast twitch muscle right there.... That's what we like isnt it... I mean.. who doesn't like twitch muscle?Lately I've been exercising because it helps stabilise my moodiness by trickle feeding dopamines. On Saturdays I really enjoy walking with a friend of mine. So far we've been walking along the eastern suburbs beaches. What I notice is Lycra. Lots and lots of lycra jiggling and pony tail swishing. It's a beautiful world! Our goal is to walk enough so that we too can wear lycra like the rest of the fitness gang. ;p But ours are walks with a kink... we discuss potential dogging sites... leave he tracks and go in the bushes, along rock shelves, sometimes clambering through water.... one day we will walk from the opera House to Kings Cross.... lol... you know... a kind of walking group for making sexy conversation, catching up on who screwed who... and how... and what the prospects are for the coming week... that kind of thing. Anyway, I'm interested to hear if you know of any good walking paths? Ones with coffee shops at either one end or the other so we can get a hardy breakfast.I wonder if there's a calling for the RHP walker's Society? An informal meet and greet in public places, where common interests are shared? Im just dreaming now... we could end at La Peruse and go for a swim. ;pHugsStalky

Well if you have the time, what about the Royal National Park? Some beautiful beaches and walks around there and you can go to Jibbons beach afterwards which has a nudie section. Although there are other beaches or areas around if you are into going off the beaten track Stalkers. You would have to bring your own supplies though.... Or go via the shops to the beach. :) Xx Meeka

Stalky By the looks of those calves youve been well into your spin classes! I must admit tho, I do wish the bike riding prepared you for running more......oh well more pain for the gain for city2surf I guess. Yes Lycra, a required evil for the road bikes? It does make you go faster on the mountain bikes too Im sure it does........ But for the social and normal rides the baggies are best.........gotta keep the package safely secured you know.....hehehe Lets

I'm sure Ben Roberts-Smith would make an excellent bed-fellow.However, I have met one or two gym buffs who spend too much time lifting weights and not enough time stretching or dancing... After all, sex is the horizontal dance isn't it?MS

Hate the pavement. I stare it down and it cringes under my wheels. The cycle and I show it who's boss. my legs, that's who. I love the feel of them pumping the pedals.i'm just recovering from a bit of a knock, and getting on the bike stopped me sitting at home and self obsessing about stupid shit. yes, exercise is a wonderful tonic.walk, run, swim, cycle.. get out and Goooo..

Out of sight on a dark night. three back operations in three years, but I can walk and I do twice a day My German shepherd bites me if I do not take him to the beach.   I go to the gym on the tread mill, and check out those cute guys , but not the muscle guys the ones that are fit and lean , the swimmer or the bike riders body The hulks do nothing for me and those steroids well there goes your dick.   Getting out and about is the thing to do, less time on the computer less time at the TV. I loath TV I would rather read a book.

Count me in Stalks, but with apparently some travelling time notice. Geez, last time I beached it south side it took 2 hours to drive home in peak hour traffic.....ggggrrrrr And I woul so love to have coffee with Tuscan, but that would be a longer traffic time to plan.   Its a very sensible and new age idea.....it doesnt always have to be a night thing to meet and greet in a bar......get out into the Vitamin D and shake it likes there's no tomorrow.   And maybe if it is of popular interest, once a month in different areas, north side, east, south and west.....so we can all get fit and talk shit and have a live forum!!

I guess he's OK.   I mean if you like chiseled, fit, motived men who' bravery is recognised by the countries highest honour. i suppose he's OK. FFS what the hells on her check list for partner?   I'm fit enough it's just I may need a day or two afterwards to get the feeling back into most parts of my body. Lactic acid is my friend!

but you are spot on about exercise. All the work I've been doing in cold storage until now has kept me fit and healthy. Now I'm trying to work smarter instead of harder and guess what? I'm suddenly not performing as well in the "you know what" dept. So Stalky, tomorrow fist thing I'm blowing out the cobwebs in my system and heading out the door for a run. I guess its all a blood circulation thing.
