ONE womans choice.... is not ALL womens choice. But I do believe men are being progressively dulled down, by women and the media.... pushing a false message about what women really want in and from a man.DG

Pre-pubescent skin, flouncy bouffant, skinny jeans, cardigans!!!!!!!! Perhaps they are... perhaps they are... Although maybe there are three stereotypes... the man-child (skinny jeans, cardigan, bouffant, etc), the plastic-fantastic (big muscles, tan, and waxed/shaved to within an inch), and the agri-bear (hairy, stubbly, sweats, doesn't perspire).Sounds like your typical day at the mardi gras. Playful, maybe these women are not emasculating men, but turning them....

think men are easily led to believe that someone else "knows" what or who is beautiful. Some of the most attractive women I know are not the conventional lookers... In fact I find some the changing shape of women into stick figures by the fashion industry to be particularly annoying. Its too easy nowadays to to dismiss some one who isn't pretty generic in their looks.... Sad that the cult of personality around people like the kardashians holds onto the popular "imagination"/ media... Mike

that my gal wants me to shave/wax/whatever, isnt 'emasculating' me at all.... what she's doing is setting things up so she can better enjoy sex....and if losing a little hair here n there, means my sex life continues to boil, simmer and sizzle.... how would or could i complain? small sacrifice in my books....her enjoyment is quite obviously my enjoyment.....how 'manly' does that make me feel?

Now I am not convinced this was a good idea as I liked my manly hairy legs and now they feel and look weird to me. My skin felt cooler with hair on my legs.Apart from it looking Ridiculous, (in my humble opinion), the body looks after itself naturally... (in most instances)

Some interesting points of view are being put forward and thank you for your responses. I guess the point I wanted to raise is the awareness of how men are being shaped these days, be it ever so slowly. @ mikeandshel- Yes exactly, we are making these improvements to ourselves, a trim here and a shave there to better our sex lives, but are we not starting to mirror each other? Women and men shaving/waxing here & there, some women and men botoxing and getting physical enhancements. Both sexes now going to beauticians, mens hair replacement is big business now. There is some sort of change taking place and I wonder where will it end? There could be a slow changing identity movement happening that we may not be seeing. It is just not women making the change, both sexes will say to each other " Honey, I think it would look great if you..." or maybe "Honey, I was thinking of enhancing my ...... as it will make me feel......". Make no mistake, I have also had various treatments done, I just wonder where is society going with this? As mentioned previously, the media are all over it propelling the image onwards and upwards, TV shows and industry are making money from the image concept, so what will humanity look like in twenty years from now? Pffft, there is another thread going in the forum about guys triming here and there, so there is an expectation as well.

I think men have been in a box for too long. Let them out for a play. no way will women turn them into girls. But men are discovering new things. liberation not emasculation. girls are driving trucks because they want to; not because they want to be men. Men want to cry as well as be tough because they want to not because girls are turning them soft.

A man without his cock and balls is emasculated and could be considered not a man I suppose. In Mikes post, I believe his cock n balls are getting plenty of workouts lol. It is going to be a problem if women start asking men to rid themselves of their cock and balls. *jokes*As far as androgyny goes, I think men and women have been changing for a very long time and not for the pleasure of their partner. It used to be that women wore dresses rather than pants. Men didn't use face creams and make-up. I notice a lot of actors in the movies wearing eye-liner and lip gloss these days. In most cases, it doesn't make them appear any the less masculine. So no, while I do believe men are changing, I don't believe it has anything to do with their women. Peachy

holy fuck mate, not a good look! And certainly something I would keep quiet about. Men need to stand up for their rights and keep their body how they like it. Tell me, if she was of a larger build, would you ask her to lose some weight because it would make her look sexier? Good fucking luck with that one. LMFAO

Some do a great job on their own. Example: men highlighting their hair: wearing so much 'cologne' they out smell their partners perfume: man bags. Each to their own though. I just love a man with smooth skin and wears ( sparingly ) JPG le male, I can't keep my hands off him!

Slowly emasculating men?May I remind you of the 1700's, where men wore fancy wigs, makeup, and weird knee length frilly pants.

These are all outward applications/accessories.Its the thought processes and therefore the behaviour that has been encouraged to be dulled down..... by media telling men that "this" is what women want..... so, in order to live a life of expectation of being popular to women, too many guys behave in this false and counter productive way towards women. And both sexes are increasingly frustrated as a result. We are different for a reason.... biological.... evolutionary...... embrace your masculinity and what it means to be a man, to women... encourage women to be feminine to your masculine...... and watch your world expand.DG

Not a good look? You must tell that to a group of cyclists when you next see them, lol. No I would not tell her to lose weight (no chance of that anyway) but if she was growing a moustache or beard, yes I would say something. Quoting 'AsQuirkyAs' holy fuck mate, not a good look! And certainly something I would keep quiet about. Men need to stand up for their rights and keep their body how they like it. Esmaculating men ?? If I learnt anything thru numerous marriages, relationships, working with all men and performing a traditional mans job.. There aint a man alive that will do something he dont wanna do !!!!! - THE END... So OP if this works for you and the missus.......go for it....me peronsonally would only want my man to shave his legs if he was off this summer to race in the Tour De France in place of Lance... The trouble is once you start.......wait till the itchies and the ingowns start in !!! MEN !!! Shinas shakes head...concerned...

You will find these guys were already emasculated a long, long time ago by mother. She is the one who has his balls under her pillow! Then as adult male he unconsciously partners/marries she who represents mother.
